Excellent location with great views to Nile. Good team always willing to help guests. Fresh breakfast everyday on terrace looking towards Nile.
Property is old and needs renovation big way. They advertise kitchen but it is non existing. Lot of lights but functioning. Lights in entire apartment needs renovation. Load shedding for 2 hours almost every evening.

I have travelled more than 25 countries and I have to say that Ahmet was one of the best hosts! Always very helpful and attentive from early in the morning till late in the evening!
We arrived early in the morning 2:30am and he was waiting for us!
He recommended the safest places to go and he organized every single tour for us.
We will also want to thanks Ali his cousin and the rest of the team!
Your friends from Greece, Anna-Maria & Pafsanias
Tips:
• west bank in Luxor is safer besides east bank
• local people there, are the kindest

Everything was so nice, people there were so kind and helpful, they were always asking us if everything was okay, the place was clean and comfy, the restaurant was available and the food delicious, even when our check out was so early 4 am for going to the airport, they made breakfast for us in the night and let it packed so we can take in the morning.
Everything was good

We had a great stay. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Always there if we needed help or had questions. Received complementary fresh juices all day long, which was nice. The location was superb for us as it's a bit further outside the center on the left side of the Nile, and therefore, it was really quiet during the day and night. And just a 5 minute walk to the public ferry. We can definitely recommend this place if you want to escape the noisy city.

We were two friends (girls) travelling to Luxor for leisure. Hassan and his team treated us like part of their family. They helped us with absolutely everything: transfers, taxis, tours, boat rides... They are really professional and gentle. The view from the terrace is just beautiful, the rooms are big and well equipped, and the breakfast/food is cheap and tasty. We could not have asked for better service!!! They are amazing and we loved staying with them. Recommended 100%
Nothing to comment. Everything was perfect .

The reliability of the hotel is in question. We lost our personal belongings from the locked room. Upon request even the video footage was never shared.

this property is located on the quiet West Bank away from the touristy areas on the East Bank. the staff made it extremely easy to get to and from the two banks so we could visit the temples and the city on the West Bank. the staff organized a sunset felucca tour and a Kings Valley tour for us. the food was also spectacular! the prices were extremely reasonable as well.
the tour guide hired for our Kings Valley tour was good, but pushed souvenir shops on us throughout our tour, which we did not enjoy.

Terrace: wonderful and wide view, overlooking the Nile River. Really a nice place to be.
Pool was small but clean and helped relaxing after a hot day, undisturbed quick swim after an exhausting temple tour.
Tours could be booked at the hotel - the hotel owner , Ahmed, is a certified guide and speaks English and German :-) As he studied Egyptology, he has a wide knowledge of the history and all the symbols and can answer all questions. It ist very interesting to listen to his stories of ancient times.
But. . .. as he offers private guided tours- which is nice - be carefull with the price. the price he offers does not include the entrance price or any further costs, be prepared to take enough Egyptian pounds with you, if you go to the temples. He will automatically take you to touristic shops.
Room was big and well equipped, directly attached to the roof terrace. Room had an interesting light concept: dark blue light for the night was nice.
WiFi worked well in the room and on the terrace.
Location:
Supermarket and other shops and restaurants withih few minutes walking, even an ATM machine
Food:
neither breakfast nor food (lunch, dinner) was worth it, unfortunately. This is rather sad, because the terrace is a nice place, but food quality, food presentation and taste were below ordinary. The service team is not coordinated, but rather running around ecxitedly without a plan.
Manager takes high prices for water taxi accross the Nile - try to find a water taxi down at the Nile river, there are so many offers, it will be cheaper.
Bathroom:
As in most of hotels: HOOKS are missing - no place to hang up clothes or the towel.
Noise:
There is quite some noise night and day from all the boats, big ships, felukkas, water taxis, loud music on some party boats, cruise line motors. lot's of traffic on the Nile!

As a family we all thought Luxor Guest House was amazing, we had the two bedroom apartment with balcony and stunning river views. The breakfast was delicious. All the excursions we arranged were efficient and very fairly priced. Ahmed the owner has his own felucca, his own motor boat and his own vehicle so arranging trips was very easy….we even managed a fairly priced sunrise balloon trip …magic! . And all the staff who work for the guest house are charming, helpful and smiley . 😊 We highly recommend Luxor guest house.
We would have liked a kettle in the room. And some soap in the bathroom . The only downsides.

We had a nice stay at Luxor guesthouse. The location is great. The apartment was huge and a great price. We loved our little terrace off the living room. The staff are amazing. We ended up forgetting a passport and wallet there, and the owner went above and beyond to get it back to us in Hurghada. They were wonderful. I would 100% stay there again

Staying at Luxor Guest House was a great experience. The owner Ahmed was extremely helpful and very informative about the best places to visits. He arranged all of our temple tours, taxi travel, hot air balloon experience and much more. I would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a comfortable stay on the West bank Luxor. Thank you Ahmed

the location was right on the water. the view from the restaurant area and the room was pretty.
the Mountain View room is blocked by other buildings. the apartments are clean and comfortable but aged.

Quiet location on West Bank of the Nile. View from room balcony and roof terrace exceptional. Staff very helpful and always on hand to answer queries and arrange tours/motorboat crossing.
We booked large 2 bed apartment (room 2) as this was the only available on booking.com for our dates. We didn’t require the extra room which made the stay more expensive than it needed to be. Kitchen facilities very old, cooker and TV not usable. Generally the accommodation was tired and basic.

Very helpful & kind service, fantastic view over nile river...relaxed & quite area, definitely worth staying & also very near the valley of Kings!

saw some people on YouTube staying and recommending this guest house. it’s a very big spacious clean and comfortable apartment. Its a family run guest house and they were all so lovely and a pleasure staying with, and they let me book 2 extra nights. views from the room balcony was breathtaking. a Nile view room is a must !! soo beautiful 😍 I was a bit wary staying on this side of the Nile but so glad I did. there is a public ferry to get to the other side which is a 10 minute walk away which costs 5egp and runs throughout the day, and not far from Luxor temple. there is a small supermarket called Hamada market a few minutes walk toward the ferry that has better prices for water and snacks than the shop next door. Recommend using the Careem app to get taxi.
the breakfast on the terrace was delicious and loved the freshly made omelette with flat bread and I think it was a soft cheese (not sure) but it was good, and salad and coffee for breakfast. the views while having breakfast where so amazing and scenic.
the furniture is a bit outdated but it adds a good element to the vibe staying here.
would recommend staying here and would love to come back again
a lot of water spills onto the bathroom floor when having a shower and floods the floor and it’s doesn’t dry up. the shower head wouldn’t stay in the wall fixture so had to hold the shower head while having a shower. the bathroom sink tap is loose and keeps moving around when you turn the tap. there needs to be a microwave in apartment kitchen.

Nice calm place right by the Nile on the West Bank in Luxor. Good sized room with a comfortable bed. Great view of the Nile from the terrace. Perfect to relax while having a delicious breakfast or lunch. Mr Ahmed is always at hand to show you around and his tour bookings were all of good quality. When there was some car trouble on one of the transfers that he booked for me, he was constantly in touch with the driver to make sure I reach my destination without any inconvenience. His nephews are always available to cook a delicious Egyptian meal or to ferry you across the Nile to the East Bank.
Room doesn't have heating, so if visiting in winter, it can get quite cold. But ample blankets are provided for the bed.

We were pleasantly surprised that the airport taxi included as the final part of the journey to include a boat from the hotel that specifically came to transfer us directly to the hotel. A welcome drink was offered and the apartment we have was spacious and had a sitting room with a kitchen area, separate bathroom and bath. The staff were very friendly as they are run by the family. The owner/main partner doubles up as a tour guide as he has done some specific studies in Egyptology in Berlin and spoke fluent English and German. We booked a private tour with him for the day to the Valley of the Kings. He showed us in depth knowledge and showed us scenes from the hieroglyphics as we visited 3 tombs and the Habu Temple. Ahmad is very proud of his work and heritage. He also took us for a place for lunch in his village and the buffet was very good. The chef at Luxor Guest House cooked a delicious local meal for dinner and falafel amongst other food in the morning breakfast. The view on the terrace faces the Nile directly and faces east and so can watch sunrise and the back of another higher terrace faces the Side of the Valley of the Kings and one can see balloons early in the morning. Crossing the river Nile was just ordering a boat from the hotel to cross over and give a 15 minute call or reservation for a given time will see Ali coming to fetch you from the other bank. It is 0.2 mile away from the public ferry and the cost of the boat ride is very affordable. It is situated on a unpaved road and so it is very quiet. Highly recommended.
Nothing in particular except maybe the decor needs a bit updating in the terrace.

Nice terrace and beatiful view of the Nile, tasty restaurant inside the building.
The room was not really clean and the furniture was very basic. The kitchen in the apartment did not look very safe and the pool was small and dirty (maybe because of the winter season).

Excellent staff , excellent food from their own kitchen. Fantastic view from our room .5. And restaurant , organised our trips at a reasonable price with very good and safe driver.

This is a fabulous guest house on the west side of Luxor (side of The Valley of the kings). To reach Luxor centre you have to take a boat across the Nile. the property was clean, lovely and Ahmed (owner & Egyptologist) was also our tour guide. He speaks fluent English, German and Arabic. We learnt so much on the tour of The Valley of Kings and the second day we went on another tour around Luxor to Karnak and Luxor Temple. I cannot recommend this place enough. The food at the guest house is very good (better than nearly all meals we had in Egypt) so would defo say to order food on the terrace. The terrace has a beautiful view, pool table and you can play your own music. Ahmed also organised our car to Hurghada once we checked out. thank you so much!!
it is far from large supermarkets (with alcohol) but otherwise you can buy cigs snacks etc locally!
