Desayuno buffet variado y rico
Todo bien

The room was beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. Plenty of windows and big balcony. Beautiful pool in front of the Nile river.
The view in the room wasn’t the best, and restaurant food was overpriced for the quality

Very clean and traditional looking Egyptian hotel with lots of marble and opulence. Beautiful pool, wonderful staff ! Breakfast was good, and upgraded on arrival.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sonesta St. George Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warmth and friendliness, making us feel truly at home. One standout member of the team, Nidana (apologies if the name is incorrect), impressed us with her delightful demeanor, sweet smiles, and impeccable English while introducing us to the hotel's facilities.
Our dining experience at the main restaurant, overlooking the magnificent Nile, was nothing short of spectacular. The breathtaking view combined with delicious cuisine made our meals truly memorable. During our time at the restaurant, we encountered a minor issue which was promptly resolved by the efficient manager, Ramy, ensuring our dining experience remained flawless.
Additionally, I would like to extend my gratitude to Wasa for her assistance in locating my misplaced air-pod. The dedication and helpfulness exhibited by the staff members at Sonesta St. George Hotel truly set a high standard in hospitality. Our stay at Sonesta St. George Hotel was undeniably one of the highlights of our trip in Luxor.

They upgraded us to a room with a view on the nile and a jacuzzi (very old that barely worked but we enjoyed the bath tub). The breakfast hall view where amazing. The breakfast had many options to pick from. The room has a charm feels like a travel back in time.
Day one we had dinner in the restaurant that is in the Lobi and the vegetables where spoiled, we told the restaurant and their answer was sorry. We still had to pay for the food.
The staff that did our checkout was very rude and asked us several times if we used something form the mini bar (We had already told him we did) but he insisted on what we had as if we where lying and concluded by we will check that before proceeding to call room service to check.
The beds are not confortables (pillows, mattress, sheets) probably very old. Same with the towels.
Only one set of shower products /towels in the room for two people.

Very good and varied breakfast. Very attentive staff. High standards of cleanliness. We were able to use the pool during the night only by signing a document at the reception. The hotel offers several acceptable restaurants.
We liked everything. Especially the staff, the cleanliness and the tranquility.

Excellent location, pool area lovely, staff incredibly helpful. Hany organised a fantastic tour over three days for us with the wonderful Nivine as well as airport collection/drop off. Nothing was too much bother for him.
As we arrived early morning we did not receive the welcome tour that we noticed others had so we didn’t know about the restaurants, how to reach the pool etc. this would have been appreciated the next day, or just something in the room to give us information?

The pool
The staff. I want to say the manager tried to talk to me about my discontent, by the time he got to me I was so upset there was nothing that could make me happy.
They treated my husband and I very poorly the 3 days I was there.
Never cleaned our room even though I requested every day I was there

- Chambre spacieuse
- Belle piscine

Sonesta St. George Hotel exceeded all my expectations. Mostly because of the 3x upgrade we got there. Catherine suprised us with the upgrade, and everything after that was exquisite.
Large room, a view of Nile river, Jacuzzi in the bathroom, good and reasonable food options.
Plus the swimming pool is so good.
All in all, a womderful stay.

Staff are always helpful and doing their best.
Restaurants are not great. The food is not good and they were short staff all the time so the service was not the best.

Outstanding experience! Exceeded our expectations by far, so truly our best stay in Egypt! The rooms are large and comfy, the AC very good and comfortable, the whole booking process went very smooth.
The ladies at the reception (Nadine, Merna) were incredibly kind, hospitable and welcoming. We even had a small incident, where after checking out and leaving the hotel, the bus to Hurghada got cancelled. Go-Bus, btw. So it was 42°C, very hot and we returned to the hotel. The girls not only offered us a welcome drink, they also gave us the keys to our (already cleaned up) rooms, to rest while waiting for the next bus. All free of charge of course.
The tourism & excursions office was also super kind, they booked us a fantastic Felukkah Nile sunset tour, and a custom-tailored tour to Madinet Habu and the East Bank. All for a very fair price, thank you so much Clara! Clara immediately adapted to our needs and helped us create the perfect itinerary! Our tour guide was also very knowledgeable, kind and friendly.
There's a variety of restaurants at Sonesta, the pool is ofc also a plus.
Highly recommend a stay here.
The entire staff was very friendly and hospitable, nothing to complain about really!
The only thing was a somewhat instable Wifi-connection on the phone.
Egypt btw is not very beginner-friendly when it comes to money. Haggling is a must. One can easily spend a lot here, specially when not-knowing the true value of things. One point we didn't like in our tour was the visit at the "palace of perfumes". Over-friendliness and hospitality, but only in order to try to sell you their products in the end.

Permanent Care from the staff. They are Always available to support in any cases. Breakfast was excellent with homemade juices and excellent food. Every member of hotel team was smily and helpful. We've been upgraded in a very confortable room overlooking the Nile. The stay was perfect full of attention...WE were delivered fruits, cakes, water etc. ... in our room! Front desk called to check on us! Breakfast team took Care of us, director of operation also took Care of us, excursion team as well! Well, WE spent a memorable stay in a perfect hotel in a very beautiful and welcoming room! WE had everything WE need during our stay. Thank you to all of you.
Nothing to be reported, everything was perfect

Very comfortable room with a good mattress. Clean and nice bathroom. Good swimming pool area. We liked this place better than Pavillon Winter Palace.
As everywhere in Central Egypt food is not really good. It's much better than in other hotels in Egypt, but don't expect anything spectacular.
Also the location is far from everywhere and the area is industrial, but soon 4 seasons hotel will be opened nearby, so it would definitely become a better place.

The hotel is on the Nile and some of the rooms (if you get a front facing view) have a really nice view. The room and the beds are comfortable, cosy and clean. Having stayed at a number of places in Egypt, we started realising that many hotels do not have these basic things that we take for granted in other countries, but this hotel did come close to the normal expectations we would have in a hotel of this size.
The breakfast was good with a lot of options for breads and fruit and omelettes. The restaurants are expensive (compared to Egyptian standards) but have good food. They provide a free bottle of water, which seems to be a norm in Egypt (and a few other countries in Africa, like Kenya).
One of the good things about this hotel is the location - the sunset is beautiful across the Nile and one of the best views is from the balcony. You can also get Felucca cruises at sunset (there are some really nice ones in Google which charge you reasonable rates) which are relaxing and they pick you up from the hotel dock near the swimming pool, which is very convenient.
When we checked in, we were given a Superior room (which is what we had booked) and the staff said it was an 'upgrade' which it obviously was not. Immediately after that, they asked if we wanted to be charged in $ or Egyptian pounds, and even though we replied Egyptian pounds, they charged in $. When we asked why, they said 'There was a problem with the card', which was absolute bollocks because that card has been used in at least 20 countries with different currencies and we carry it abroad only because it can be used across currencies. It was extremely stressful to check into this hotel because we could not trust the staff after that, as they said one thing and did another.
After we reached our room, they tried to apologize and make up for their mistakes by giving us another room which was front facing. So even though they caused us unnecessary stress, the second room to which we shifted, did meet our expectations. If anyone books a 'superior' room, please be aware that it is normally a 'side view room' where you get a side view of the Nile. The photos don't show that clearly, but thats the 'norm'.
There is one more thing I didn't like. When we decided to eat in one of their restaurants, the waiter there kept giving us dirty looks as if 'you aren't meant to eat here in jeans and t-shirts'. There were a few 'posh' people there, but if we are spending money in a restaurant, we don't expect 'waiters', of all people, to give us those looks. No one cares what waiters (or anyone) thinks about jeans etc. Its our choice what we want to wear, and its no longer a world where you have to wear a ballroom gown or 3 piece suit if you are 'rich'.

we loved everything about this property! Accommodations were wonderful and the staff was amazing!

Solid hotel, good restaurants (a bit pricier than average) and great staff.
I can say I was well treated and recommend the hotel for this.
My thanks to Customer Relationships Manager Catherine and a few of her colleagues who helped me a lot with an issue I had :)
The pool is not the absolute best as its not directly facing the Nile as some of the Hotel's competitors.
I would say it's a more business-like hotel.
