The location, the beach and the view. So relaxing in beautiful Amed.
The distance is far b you can rent a bike.

The view is amazing, a very relaxing place to stay.
4.5
We have stayed here many times and we love the snorkeling, sitting on the porch watching the sunrise and fishermen and moon on the water. The breakfasts are wonderful and the staff is so sweet and helpful.
The air conditioner has lost its ability to move air and was less effective now. Breakfasts are great, but the main meals are nothing special.

I gave staff a 10
Also a big 10 for the amazing view of the sea and sunrise.
A big 10 for convenient location for snorkeling !. Just do it right in front of your room and there's a beach. Come high tide and you have lots of fish just few feet from the beach!
However, I give the room that I got a 1- Amed is super hot and humid, and the aircon in our room cannot keep us cool enough because of major air leaks going on. I attached a picture to show big gaps on the sliding door, which is misaligned and make loud banging sounds when you touch it and when the wind blows, and yes it's windy. By heat and humidity category where I stayed while in Bali: Sanur- very hot, Ubud-hot and humid, Amed- super hot and humid.
Another score of 1 for the bathroom - no ventilation fan, and gets wet everywhere, and dirty. I attached a picture. Originally when I booked, I thought I'll get the bath with tub and spray. Instead, I got this bamboo pipe attached to the side of a mountain wall with sharp boulders. One misstep and you'll end where your soul is destined to go. At night, big ants in thousands come out and occupy the whole bathroom floor! Good thing I brought my eucalyptus spray and sprayed it on the bathroom door. It worked!

Also, this place have steep stairs, hence the hotel name. For someone with mobility issues, give this a big pass

amazing scenery , sea only a few meters away

The view was amazing! Overlooking the sea. I also loved to hear the sound of the ocean at night. It is quiet there and barely heard noises from the village. The bathroom was clean and daily and housekeeping was a lovely bonus. Nice blossom trees around the bungalows.
We were given an additional small bed for our daughter (3 years old) and a mosquito net was attached for her. Very grateful for that as this meant that she didn’t have to sleep with us.
There is comfy bamboo furniture on the balcony and roll down shades to avoid the rising sun warming up the whole floor.
I compare the food from another property by the sale owner only 3 minutes drive away and the food, such as breakfast or lunch is unfortunately not the same quality.
The staff barely speaks any English so hard to get any additional information.
Note that there’s not much shade and no swimming pool to cool down. It can get hot in front at the balcony in the first part of the day. The sea there isn’t as calm as in other parts so snorkelling off the beach was not an option for us.
The beach had some rubbish scattered around following the latest high tide, including a dead chicken.

Clean sandy beach. Breakfast. Terrace with a view of the sunrise and the sea
This is a bamboo house, then of course you can hear the sea at night. But I love the noise of the sea.

This is one awesome piece of paradise. Your own spacious Bali Bungalow with sunrise watching terrace , right at the sea with reef inside. What else you may need? Yes! Very tasty food and the most friendly and welcoming staff ever. I so much recommend this place. Truly awesome.

Fantastic location, amazing accommodation right on the beach. Unbelievable sunrise! Staff were friendly and helpful. I loved my stay here.
Some rocks in the sea. I guess this is the reason no big resort has been built here, so not really a negative.

4.5
Secluded place with lots of privacy directly at the beach for snorkeling and relaxing. Good choices of breakfast and excellent staff. 100% recommended.
The bungalows are a bit older and the bathroom was always a bit moist due to the rain, but both did not bother us.

I love this place. I have stayed here 5 or 6 times. 5 bungalows set right along a quite private beach, nice verandas to sit on and watch the sunrise and moonrise. Great snorkeling right from the beach with easy access. Just a short swim to the "Japanese Wreck" just around the point.
Liked it all

the bungalows are absolutely lovely directly on the beach with all the local fisherman bringing in their catch. really interesting to sit and watch, and lovely to swim in the clear water. great Italian trattoria and traditional fish warung walking distance that were both exceptional.
property was lovely. no complaints

Great location. 5 beachfront bungalows looking out at the sea on a beautiful cove with great snorkeling right out front. Free breakfast was substantial, fridge and coffee making facilities in room. I have been back three times.
Internet was not always fast
