Clean, friendly staff. Our children are fall in love with the hotel’s cat: Mocca and Manis.
Wifi connection is bad, no 4G and no tv. It would be better if there is a small refrigerator in the room.
4.3
Quiet location and all staff were really friendly.
4.3
Great staff, garden, restaurant. Beach front.. Rooms fantastic, food fantastic.
Locals pressuring me to buy over hotel boundary. Beach can't swim at low tide.
4.3
We liked the location the pool
We did not like that there were no pool towels and that there was a small fridge in our room for cooling drinks and storing medicines.

the top floor of the bungalow was excruciatingly hot

Nice Cottage and swimming pool, right to the beach and lovely yoga shala. Restaurant good, nice breakfast with enough choice. The shop has some nice stuff that I didn't see around in other shops. I will be back, this time for longer 🙏

nice setting. close to the beach with a nice pool. as a family it is nice to have an upstairs room extra for the child. the breakfast is was really good and the staff was more than kind. they absolutely made us feel at home!
the hotel is a bit outside the center but easy to access by scooter

It was in an idyllic setting, well worth travelling so far to get there. The staff went out of their way to make us welcome and were always helpful. The food was excellent and my special dietry needs were able to be catered for.
The only thing I could suggest is adding tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge in the guest accommodation.
4.3
Poor coffee choice
Limited breakfast buffet preferred

The cabins are beautiful and very clean.
The beds are comfortable.
The terrace in front of each cabin is a good size for everyone to sit down and even eat.
The pool is lovely and clean.
Location is front on beach front where you can go swimming and snorkelling and watch the fishing boats come in in the morning.
Bathroom is great with an outdoor shower.
The breakfast is ample and very tasty. And the menu for food the rest of the day is great!
Amed is very humid and that humidity ends up in the room. But with the AC it dries up fine.
Not a problem with the hotel itself, but outside to each side, there are very pushy snorkel and dive rental shops, every time you walk past they try to bug you to rent equipment and get very rude if you rent with someone else. But that is what it is like here.
Don't be mistaken, the hotel is located far from the centre of Amed, so it a bit remote, but there is still access to restaurants nearby. And with a scooter it is fine.

The Villa we stayed in was spacious, clean and beautifully designed. We felt well taken care of throughout our stay.
It can get a little noisy on the beachfront.

This place is simply amazing. The location is perfect as you are right on the beach. If you would prefer to stay by the pool, it has one of the nicest pools and gardens. The staff are so kind and friendly and very very helpful. I will definitely be visiting again.
Nothing at all.

Amed is actually several little villages and hamlets strung out along the coast and Life in Amed Boutique Hotel is situated in Lean fishing village, which is a traditional fairly undeveloped fishing village, where the boats go out before dawn and are largely returned by about 8.00 am. Village life does spill into the hotel, with a chicken and chicks clucking about and scraping for worms and cats and dogs wandering in and out. Most of the tourists on this stretch of coast seem to be Francophone. Most of my fellow guests were French with a mix of couples and families.
My admittedly rather old Lonely Planet Guide gives the place fairly short shrift, describing the bungalows as set in a “cramped compound” with an “urban” feel. Though small the gardens are beautiful with exotic plants, fragrant flowers (Frangipani and Bougainvillea) and attractive statues. The bungalows are aesthetically pleasing. It has a decent sized pool and the restaurant is worth a visit in its own right for its good range of Asian-fusion dishes, with extensive vegetarian and salad options, as well as grilled fish of the day and other seafood. The presentation of the food was lovely and staff very friendly and helpful (special mention to Ketut and Cadek and the manager). The food was excellent and cheaper than some of the other tourist-focused establishments along the coast. Most of the vegetarian dishes could be modified to accommodate vegans.
I chose this hotel because it offers morning yoga and the teacher was outstanding, but left precipitously! Its motto is Love Life and it does indeed have a mellow loving atmosphere.
There is an extensive house reef that is worth exploring with snorkelling equipment. It is right in front of the resort which fronts onto the beach (low tide entry left out of the resort and along the beach to beyond it slightly, otherwise you are straight onto low-lying coral). I saw turtles and a wonderful array of fish. Often I was the only person in the water.
Turn right out of the front of the hotel and there is a nearby beach (Lipah) with several beachside cafes for a change of scene and after about 15 minutes walk is a PADI Dive Centre on your right. The Internet connection is very intermittent, so this is a great opportunity to be ‘off-grid’ and unobtainable, but that may not be okay for all! Unfortunately the resort has nuisance neighbours; just over the bridge is situated a live music/Karaoke venue with massive speakers and its noise dominates the entire village and extended into the evening keeping me awake on several occasions, so what could have been an ultra-chilled location is somewhat marred by this. Two other local cafes also whack out amplified noise on a fairly regular basis (mostly obnoxious pop music but sometimes more charming local music). Stray dogs also provided noise irritation with dog flights and protracted bouts of barking at intervals during the night. Cockerels crow at regular intervals all night too. There is also the hustle and bustle of village life. This venue might not be for those wanting peace above all. There is nowhere to walk; the roads are dusty and busy with traffic and hot, so not very pleasurable to walk along. If you enjoy walking you may find this frustrating.

Hotel staff is very hospitable, ready to accommodate and help🙏🏻
Location right on the beach.
No fridge, kettle, enough space inside the bungalow. No pool towels. For their price (very expensive for Amed in comparison to many other places there) all these things must be inside. Bungalow itself is tiny, we, two adults & two toddlers, lived together and it was hard, have no idea how a group of 4 adults will fit in and have a nice comfortable time. Small bathroom.
Bungalows have big windows under the roof without curtains so you fall asleep with a light from outside and wake up also with sunrise light and roosters. Yeah, roosters, chicks and hens live just behind the hotel. The hotel is on the beach but the bay is not the best for snorkeling. Rocky entrance into the water and not much to see. Next bay is much better.
Also, I don’t recommend to make massage in hotel. Better to choose salon. There are several very good in Amed.

The room is spacious, with a mezzanine for kids. It is good for family. We came with two boys under 12. The garden and pool were nice. Restaurant offered nice food. The beach is accessible just in front of the hotel. It is located in a fishermen's kampong, so it is a public beach. Plenty of fishing boat on the beach. Enjoy the sound of waves from your room.
The internet connection could be improved. The children stayed in Mezzanine complained about this, but down in the room and in the garden it was ok. Be ready for some noises from the surrounding neighborhood during the night. Otherwise, it was very quiet.

Peaceful gardens in a seaside/rural part of Bali.
Restaurant and yoga were exceprional.
Plenty to explore in the area.
All was great.

Location, just beside the beach. Good value of money. Fine art landscape and decoration. Two in one place; inside the hotel it's quiet, peaceful and outside the hotel it's vibrant, smiling local people. Can have a trekking hillside for exploring local people life and rain-forest. Hotel especially the beach is nested with fishermen village. The most convenient excursions ever; the fishermen take you to the snorkeling, fishing or sunset cruise with extremely reasonable prices by their authentic boats, there are many snorkeling spots near by. Very delicious fish&chips at hotel's restaurant.
Wi-fi is not good, no coverage in the rooms and very weak at common areas. It's a good hotel but munificently ranked 4 star in my opinion; no minibar (fridge) in the rooms which is a big missing at such a tropical environment. We stayed duplex villa and there is only one A/C with poor capacity, not cooling upper side, our son had to sleep with us in our bed at downstairs. And last thing they need some more effort to improve cleaning especially dishes at the restaurant.
