We had an amazing time going up the mountains we will definetly wanting to be coming back to Switzerland

I liked how it was right next to grindelwald first I liked the free breakfast I liked how it was in the city

The shared balcony was little weird but I was still appreciative of having a balcony so it was fine

Great location, right in the city center, our room had a balcony with a great view on the mountains. Great alpine vibe in the room

Prices overall in Grindelwald are high and this also applies to this hotel

Fantastic stay at centrally located Gasthof Alte Post! Comfortable and Clean; Thoughtful and Kind!!

Anna and her team are the epitome of hospitality! warm and inviting, they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable! The location is excellent—right on a major bus line that goes directly to the train station. The room was large and comfortable with room to move around. The breakfast is delicious and bountiful but the people who work there are the best amenity!

The only issue were the flies; but this is not particular to Gaston Alte Post. They were EVERYWHERE in Grindelwald and surrounds and there are no screens on windows and doors so fighting off flies while trying to have breakfast was definitely not appealing.

very dim lights very small bathroom with curtains not height-adjustable shower tv doesn’t work the floor at the balcony old furnishing -> 200,-/night 🤷🏻‍♀️

Location of the room, would be better to stay in the main house. Noise of ventilation in the room, but was not annoying, so we were fine with it

A true gem

The location was amazing, the spa was a lovely surprise and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. They really went over and above to provide an excellent service. I would highly recommend Alte Post to anyone looking to stay in Grindelwald.

Beautiful place and wonderful owner and staff

Centrally located with beautiful mountain view from balcony. Wonderful breakfast and fondue! The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful!

Exceptional

This hotel is the perfect place if you are looking for some days off in Grindelwald. The hotel’s staff is very warm, flexible, kind and helpful, breakfast is very complete, delicious and included. Wellness facilities are amazing and included in the rate as well. For skiers/snowboarders: Great connections to Grindelwald Terminal (15 min from the bus station in front of the hotel) and Grindelwald First (1 minute walk from the hotel). I am looking forward to my next stay at this wonderful hotel in such a magic town.

Excellent location right next to the Firstbahn, many restaurants and supermarkets. Room clean and the bed comfortable. Very useful parking on site.
