We stood there for one night and really liked it. I really appreciate the air conditioning in our room, as it was easy to use and not making any noise. Everthing was clean, staff was very helpful. Breakfast was very good as well.

Spacious AC rooms
Nice little pool
Good location
1.0
The location is perfect in the centre of town. The bed is comfortable and has good pillows. The plunge pool looked clean although we didn't see it get cleaned.
It's not a hotel, it's a house with all the rooms converted into bedrooms. The other rooms are filled with long term nomads who work.
The place is run down and filthy. The sink and shower had hair clogging them. The drains all smelt so bad. The bedroom was dark and gloomy with no window to natural light. The only window was onto an ally that staff hang cloths to dry, you can't see the sky from the window.
The place is full of mosquitos so you can't sleep in peace.
The wifi is good when it works but for 2/4 days we were there it wasn't working, staff said it was an area issue but we went down the road and was working in the social restaurant.
Staff can't speak any English so unless you know fluent Spanish you can't communicate any problems or to ask questions about booking tours or shuttles etc we had to go else where for that.
There isn't really any security. The front gate is always open so anyone can walk into the property.
For the price I would not recommend this place to anyone unfortunately there are multiple hostels around that provide better value for money.

The property was in a perfect location…just far enough away from the noise of the streets yet only a 5 minute walk to pretty much anything
That I didn’t stay longer!!

Great location in town
This place is run by Casa Ora and it is definitely the most rude and disorganized staff we've ever came across in traveling. The pictures in the listing are not correct. This place is in much worse condition than shown. If you don't want headaches and a staff that doesn't care if you have water or any amenities shown in the description, STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. We travel through Nicaragua yearly and would never stay here again. Have made every traveler heading that direction aware to stay clear of this place. The staff and 'owner' , pretty sure he wasn't, will lie to you and then tell you another lie to say they didn't speak the first one. Horrible reviews on Google and booking for Casa Ora. Expect the same if you stay here.

The proximity to downtown SJDS was perfect - a very short walk, but slightly removed from the nightlife noise. We liked this location so much that we decided to extend our stay by another week. The AC worked well, the pool was refreshing, and it was great to have a shared kitchen/fridge to use. Staff was also very friendly. The house and location all felt very safe and comfortable.
The beds were very firm but that is common for our experience in Nicaragua. The nightly rates for the rooms are very inconsistent and varied greatly between travelers coming through, which can be frustrating when comparing notes with friends. Also the front gate was locked overnight but not every tenant was given a gate key, which led to multiple incidents of being woken up at 2am to someone trying to return to their room.

Common arias.
Room in poor repair, light switch crackling, light and fan turning on and off, shower head and pipe fell off wall when water was turned on. We where told one price from booking.com and charged more, room tax is not 15% in Nicaragua. Staff unconcerned about issues. When we arrived we made an inquiry about 3 more nights stay and did not receive a response be fore check out the next day. Very poor values.

Nuestra Casa was in an amazing location very close to the beach and the town! if you’re just checking in go right to Casa Oro the hostel and they will check you in and bring u to Nuestra Casa (that was the only confusion we had) otherwise there was friendly staff there everyday to clean the common areas. The lookout was the best place for sunset, the rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was fine! The cat that lives there (sushi) was a huge bonus for us, she is the most amazing and friendly cat. overall very happy with the location, would recommend and stay again!
they need to update their kitchen appliances and utensils (not enough cups or bowls) and we had to buy Tupperware which we ended up leaving.

Great spot.

Location was good but very noisy neighborhood. Our room was checked very quickly to make sure it was clean, it was not! The floors were filthy, the bed had hair all through it and the shower had what appeared to be blood on the wall.

Location was good and staff were nice and tried to be helpful, however the actual property had no staff on site. The property was managed by staff at another property across town.
There were too many issues at the property, including multiple issues with the pool which created loud noise very early in the morning on 2 occasions and hundreds, if not thousands of ants in the kitchen most nights. Not having staff on site made it harder to get issues resolved quickly. I also didn't like that they required cash payment, not credit card. My room was poorly lighted as well, making it hard to see in the evening.

Liked the King bed and room size. The partial view of the ocean was nice. Location was about 3 blocks from the beach. My daughter enjoyed the pool.
The management was non existent. When I arrived there was no one there. Another guest had to let us in. Our room was not available when we got there. We had to wait an additional two hours, 6pm until we could get into our room. Once in the room there was no soap in the bathroom or anywhere. It was to have free toiletries, none were provided. There was no coffee machine in the room as listed. No in room cookware, cleaning supplies, utensils, dishes, dining area, stove was not working, no clock as listed. Our room was only cleaned once in 5 days even though we requested it to be cleaned. There was no one there 24 hours a day. We paid for breakfast but none was available there. Only on the last day did they provide a refund for the breakfast.

Nada
Pool was dirty, the bedrooms aren't as shown online, all of the online pictures doesn't really tell you how cheap and old the place actually looks. For the price it ain't worth it... Maybe $20 - $30 per night would be acceptable and according to the place
5.0
Location, one block from the beach and one block from downtown. Great top deck to see the sunset. Staff was very accommodating. Helps to know Spanish.
Only issue to be aware of is that the water into the sink doesn't get hot. lukewarm. acceptable but one should be aware.

-The lovely pool we had for ourselves.
-The more than excellent shower
-The "terrace tower" with excellent view over the bay
-Comfortable bed with cool airco
