Nice calm and beautiful area, helpful and smiling staff , good pool area and outside gym. 5 min walk to beach and restaurants.
Breakfast could be better quality and coffee was awful. Reception/restaurant area looks very nice but rooms were outdated. Pool water was very dirty/foggy.

we liked the design in general, that fits verx good with the location!
the cleaning is a problem.

Modern style, quiet place, ideal place for couples, tasty breakfast, I like it there!

For the first time I was very surprised after entering the hotel. This wasn't in a negative way but a positive one.I don't remember the last time I liked an accomodation so much. The room felt incredibily cozy while the dining and living room felt relaxing and welcoming. The view was indescribable even more specifically during breakfast. The staff at the reception, specifically Katerina and Evelina and the always everywhere and whenever you need Cristina, with their always smiling attitude make you feel at home and at ease which feels infectious and affects the guests positively.I believe the whole staff has a similar attitude even if we haven't had the chance to interact with everyone. We just arrived home but If we could,we would turn around and be back there in an instant.Thank you for everything!

The staff is very friendly and helpfull. They really make a difference and the stay a complete delight.
They did a renovation, with a very cozy and comfortable look. Great to relax and enjoy the pradise!
The views from the room are amazing!

The location and the view was nice, the staff was friendly and our room was OK, cleaned every day.
The breakfast was poor and it was the same all time (some days there were no vegetables that we really missed) and the cutlery and the plates were dirty sometimes.

Absolutely recommend staying in Villa Maxine. We got a free upgrade to the suite room and this made our stay completely perfect! The room was very spacious, very clean and we had beautiful views from the large balcony as well as in the bathroom. Very friendly stuff, great swimming pool and a bar where you can order drinks and snacks. Wish we stayed for longer. Absolutely recommend for both couples and families

The hotel is beautiful and modern, nice views of the mountains, close to the beach and pool area was very clean. My room was spacious and had comfortable beds. Great and friendly staff. The food was good.
Limited options for dinner menu, but still everything we ordered was tasty.
Maybe the rooms should be a bit cleaner. They did the beds, empty the bins and brought fresh towels each day but the floors were not cleaned frequently.

location was good.
room was lovely but would have benefited from having a towel rail: A small table for maps sunglasses etc.
maybe hot eggs as an alternative to meat/cheese/olives/ham

Very nice swimming pool.
It was the beginning of the season and the room was very cold. Bathroom was floating with water after a shower, shower curtain did not help!

great location minutes from the beach and centre of town yet far enough away to give a sense of seclusion

Excellent place. Wonderful view. The garden is the paradise itself and the personnel absolutely and genuinely hospitable.
See you again :)
The fact that i stayed only one night !

Decent breakfast, friendly and caring staff. We were upgraded for free, the room was comfortable, renovated with modern furniture, nice bathroom. As the room was just on the main internal road of the hotel, it was not that quite.
We were given a room (the type we booked) in the lower level of the hotel. It had old furniture, seemed not taken care of and not very clean. It was spacious but felt very uncomfortable in it. As by mistake, they hadn't made the beds, the staff was kind enough to upgrade us for free to another room.

Hotel was on our way around the Crete, so location and price had good match. Spacious rooms and nice breakfast with gorgeous view. Probably would be a bit boring to stay long.

Excellent location
The breakfast buffet was too small for the number of guests and thus overcrowded.

Nice view from the balcony
Basic breakfast, pool and facilities not very clean, shower in bathroom VERY old fashioned, many stairs to go up every time, nasty sewer smell, rooms are very noisy. Would not come back.

The location is good. The hotel hotel has a very nice view of sea and town. Walking distance to the beach. The pool is nice. It's a family hotel, so that makes the service special.
The room was not what we expected. The bathroom had a very nasty smell.
There were other things to improve: The room’s safe did not work as batteries were dead. The cleaning could be better, the shower curtain had a yellow sting. We expected at least the bed to be made daily, but that was not the case.
After we raised our concerns, we were answered that because of COVID-19 the cleaning was not done daily but only upon request (understandable but it was not communicated upon arrival), it was said that the hotel was a 3* hotel, and that this was the first time they heard about the bad smell in the room. This last comment really surprised me after reading all the reviews below, which I regret not to have checked before. Hence, I decided to write mine as well. Apparently, if you stay in a top room your experience can be different to mine which I really hope.

The room was big with a comfortable big bed.
The bathroom was spacious and had both shower and bathtub (both had enough space for 2 persons).
The terrace was also big and had a great view.
After booking their most expensive room we were quite disappointed to find used toiletries(one with hair on it) and dirty toilet brush.
When we entered the room the smell was not too pleasant.
The walls are very thin and you can hear a lot of noise from the nearby room(people talking, door opening/closing, toilet flushing).
There is no wifi in the room.
A powerful lightbulb was right near one of the windows(we had a curtain to cover it, but it is kind of bad planning to put a big light source exactly near one of the most expensive room).

THE BREAKFAST
-------------------------------------
It was made of some of the cheapest and lowest quality ingredients I have ever seen at a hotel. Very few options from which you could choose.
The resort seems that it was a great resort a few decades ago, but now they decreased a lot their quality.

Property was great pool was exceptionally clean!
If we had to be picky, it would have been nice to have the pool bar open so we didn’t have to go to main reception to get a drink but we understand in the current circumstances it does not warrant opening.

Slightly disappointed, not all of the resort refurbished. We ended up in a room that had not been refurbished and it looked nothing like the photos, the bathroom was older along with the furniture. The whole vibe of the room wasn't what I thought I had booked.
