We had a wonderful week of vacation; the apartment is very comfortable and in a beautiful location. Lem and Anita had everything needed to enjoy the stay, the apartment is well supplied, and they provide all the necessary equipment to enjoy the lake.

We had a wonderful time. We loved the lake and the access to kayaks and paddle board. It was so quiet and peaceful yet just minutes away from the villages of Saranac Lake and Lake Placid.

Anita & Lem were wonderful hosts and shared their beautiful property with our family. Our girls had an incredible time kayaking, canoeing and exploring the lake. If you're looking for a quiet, secluded lake getaway, this is the place for you.

We had a great stay at Lem and Anita’s property! The lake is beautiful and the loft had everything we needed. Lem and Anita were super accommodating and went out of their way to buy us 2 new box fans to keep us comfortable as we visited during a heat wave. We will definitely be back!

Lem and Anita's property is wonderful! We stayed for a week during my son's CAN/AM camp. The location is conveniently located between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. The property is gorgeous: mountain views, beautiful lake, abundant wildlife, peaceful and quiet. The accommodations are private, clean and very nice. The dock, diving platform and kayaks/canoes were big hits. I would highly recommend Lem & Anita's property to anyone looking to have a phenomenal Adirondack vacation!

Unparalleled sweeping view of mountains from dock on pristine lake. Unit is private, beautiful, and well-stocked for everything we needed. Provided coffee is a nice, warm touch. Grounds are sublime Adirondack habitat(s), a work of art-in-progress by the owners, with walking trails and an incredible array of flora. Awesome swimming dock and rock, and place to watch sunrises and sunsets. A small armada of human-powered boats. Approach to house from Saranac Lake through Oseetah Bog is beautiful in and of itself, and is also a great place to walk. Lem and Anita are pleasant, engaging, creative, and helpful. We will be back again, because I can't think how one could improve upon a central Adirondack experience.

Perfect place to enjoy the fall - fire pit, foliage, kayaking, hiking, shooting stars. Close to downtown lake placid and saranac. So peaceful and such very lovely stay. Thanks Anita and Lem!

The property is just as described--and wonderful. The flat is very comfortable and spacious, with a very nice private deck. The kitchen is well stocked. The forested property is very large; well isolated from neighbors. We made ample use of the dock and the available boats. Lem and Anita were wonderful hosts, always willing to provide hiking, paddling, and dining recommendations. Cell coverage is a bit spotty, but the Wifi was more than adequate. We look forward to another stay in the future.

Our family of four loved our stay at The Loft for our vacation for a week this August. Lem & Anita were fantastic hosts; there to welcome us when we arrived, a wealth of knowledge about the lake and surrounding areas, suggesting activities/places to do/see for our family.
We loved the details in all the woodwork in the loft, everything was comfortable and as described/pictured in the listing. The grounds were beautiful. The canoes, kayaks, and paddle board provided us some fun ways to explore the lake.
There is so much to do in the area. We rode bikes on the Bloomingdale Bog Trail, rented a pontoon boat, went for hikes, took the kids to the Wild Center, visited some of the olympic sites, shopped in Lake Placid, ate in Saranac Lake Village.
We enjoyed the area and would love to return. Thank you, Lem & Anita for helping us to have a great vacation this summer!

Lovely, well-equipped rental in beautiful location on Lake Oseetah
Two good size bedrooms and living area with kitchen, dining area, sitting area, and a lovely porch big enough for 4 people to dine. The entrance on the ground floor has an area for storing hiking/canoeing equipment etc which is great for keeping it convenient and not cluttering the living area. This was a great rental for four adults. It is attached to the owners' home but quite private. The owners are great - very friendly, accomodating and helpful. We enjoyed a tour of their amazing natural gardens.

Beautiful Apartment - Well located for visits to Lake Placid and Saranac Lake
The apartment/loft is well situated for visits to Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, and the High Peaks region. Located on Lake Oseetah for paddling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and access to the Saranac Lake Chain. The property is beautiful and while it is shared with the hosts, it is very private and quiet. Lem and Anita were wonderful hosts. We look forward to visiting again!

Awesome Location
What a great place. The apartment was super clean, great beds, lots of extras (salt, pepper, oil,sugar...). Super hosts with great recommendations for the area. Lots of water toys, to make it easy to explore the lake. Oseetah Lake is beautiful and warm enough for swimming. We even caught fish to eat. We plan to come back in the future. Lem and Anita Thanks for sharing your peaceful location with us.

The perfect Lake property
Truly a dream vacation. The property is beautiful and the property managers were so lovely. The lake is stunning and the property is situated close enough to town that’s it’s easy to access and get to restaurants, supplies but the location makes it feel like a total peaceful get away. It was so clean and well kept.

A wonderful and cozy waterfront location with thoughtful hosts
We had a wonderful week-long stay at the Oseetah Lake Loft. It was our first longer trip with our baby and Anita and Lem were very thoughtful hosts. We enjoyed the lakefront and mountain views from the Adirondack chairs by the dock, and we also swam in the lake. The loft was cozy and comfortable, which was great since we did encounter a few rainy days during our stay. We took advantage of the kitchenette and grill and cooked most of our meals and enjoyed sitting out on the deck listening to the quiet serenade of birds and loons. We would absolutely recommend the Oseetah Lake Loft and would certainly stay there again. Thank you Anita and Lem for sharing your beautiful property with us.

"If you want to impress, do more than expected." Anita and Lem have certainly done that with their property. It was a perfect getaway for ourselves and our two grandchildren, ages 5 and 13. After driving down a private road for about a mile you get the feeling of seclution. You feel as though you are far from civilization looking out at the pristine lake but it's a short ride to restaurants and things for the kids to do. Fishing from the dock and swimming off the private beach kept them occupied most of the time. The loft is just as the pictures depict, beautifully appointed. They have included everything you would need even beach towels. Also, you have use of six kayaks and a very nice canoe, and beach toys for younger children. If you want a place where you can sit by the lake and listen to the sounds of silence, this is the place for you. Well, if you want that, you probably don't want to bring the grandchildren.

Perfect family vacation
We had the most relaxing family vacation. Lem and Anita’s loft was the perfect location for us. The lake was beautiful with mountains in the background. Our 5 year old must have jumped off the dock into the lake at least 100 times. She also had fun playing in the sand. We enjoyed our breakfasts up in the trees on the deck and cooked many dinners on the grill. The location was perfect - it was a quick ride to both Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. If you venture into Saranac Lake make sure to go to Donnelly’s for ice cream - amazing!

ADK Oasis
The property is absolutely lovely, right on the water of Lake Oseetah with a beautiful view of the Adirondack Mountains. It's a well appointed loft, recently remodeled, with every amenity you need - including a great deck with a grill and view of the lake! Lem and Anita were gracious and accommodating hosts, yet it felt like a private house the entire week unless we had a question. We had a fantastic week relaxing, fishing, and cruising the Saranac Lake chain. We will return!

We had a great time staying here
The loft is very comfortable. We cooked a couple meals in the kitchen, and it worked fine. The loft is connected to the owner's house, but is separate and we felt like we were in our own space. Outside the windows you see basically trees--you can just see the lake a little bit--and what you hear is just wind and maybe birds. But it's a brief walk (less than a minute) down to the beach and dock (part of the property). We launched our kayaks from the beach onto Oseetah Lake, which is lovely and is connected to other lakes, so there's lots of paddling available just from the beach. There are only a couple of houses visible from the dock--mostly, when you look out over the lake, you see water and trees and sky.
The property is in the woods, down a well-packed dirt road, maybe a mile long. We saw a fox and a deer while we were driving on it, and there are interesting views of a marsh that it crosses over.
The owners and hosts, Lem and Anita, were very personable and helpful with suggestions for things to do, and were very generous. They were available for consultation, but not intrusive. The space was very clean.
There is wi-fi available in the loft, and we used it every day, but as the owners told us, it's based on a DSL line, so the Internet bandwidth isn't enough to support streaming video or streaming music. We used it to keep up with email and weather and various Web sites. Cell phone service was mostly 1 or 2 bars in the loft, although there were two times, over a week, when we saw "No Service" on our Verizon phones. There's also a landline for calls within the US, which worked fine. There's a TV but no cable/dish or broadcast antenna, so the owners provide a list of DVD's you can borrow, or you can bring your own (as we did)--the DVD player is not Blu-Ray, just standard definition.
We hope to come back to this area, and when we do, we'll stay right here at the loft again.

superior design in the perfect location, with local knowledge
Wow. The hosting is exceptional and the interior and property facilities could not be better. This stay is comfortable and opens in many directions to the landscape, inviting views of tree and the dock with access to lake front activities make this Adirondack stay the complete Northwoods experience. / Onsite hosts are respectful yet also easily accessible for local recommendations and insightful conversation about the natural landscape. The property offers excellent proximity to the towns of Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Whether looking to be on land, or spending time on the water - this property has it all.

Wonderful Home! Great Location!
We were very pleased with the loft property and surrounding area. Lem and Anita have made their property into a true oasis. We appreciated the quality workmanship and design of the loft as well as the surrounding trails and waterfront facilities. Everything you need for a relaxing vacation is here. The location is great - quiet - yet quick access to Saranac Lake whether paddling or driving, a short drive to Lake Placid and numerous hiking options.
Thank you for a great week - we loved it!

Best Adirondack vacation we've ever had
The loft and surrounding property is so peaceful and beautiful there's no need to run around looking for things to do. The lakeside deck chair is where I spent most mornings unless I was in a kayak watching the sunrise over the mountains. Our kids had plenty of entertainment swimming at the private rock island, kayaking and paddle-boarding, fishing off the dock, enjoying s'mores at the fire-pit (fully stocked with wood and kindling) and eating grilled meals on the treetop deck. Lem and Anita were excellent hosts and I can't say enough about our stay there. The loft itself was the most modern and cleanest place I stayed in in the Adirondacks while still maintaining the feel of a mountain cabin. And even though it feels very remote, it's a mere 10 minutes to grocery stores, restaurants and more, in case you do want to venture out. Overall, an excellent experience!

Awesome place with beautiful views
We were greeted by the owners upon arrival whom were very warm, informative and inviting. They have done a great job with this addition as a rental property. The property is very beautiful with awesome views and very secluded. Great location between Lake Placid and Lake Saranac. The only thing you should know is that there is no cable and the internet is slow which I assumed anyway being in the middle of no where. Bring or rent there movies if TV is needed.
