Very friendly, and helpful host and staff. The place is clean, very quiet and has Wi Fi . They offer airport shuttle, I arrived at 3am and they still came to pick me up.
It was so quiet during the day that I thought I was the only guest in there.
For a different experience, if you want to immerse in the lives of the locals, would recommend this accommodation.
The location advantages: close to many beaches and walking distance (on a dirt road) to Ali Mwinyi Hassan Rd and other (where you can get more options in terms of transportation).
The location downside: Not easy to locate if you are not familiar with the place yet. To get to places I used Uber services (they use GPS), the bajaji and other taxi drivers kept on getting lost; they had to stop often to ask for directions and fortunately the people on the streets were friendly and always assisted. I was actually surprised that almost everyone knew where New Kivulini was :) :)
Also, I expected a en-suite bath with the room, not a shower.

If you want some authenticity away from the usual tourist world, are looking for clean and simple accommodation, and looking for a host who cares about his guests, who speaks fluent English and likes a good chat, this ist the place.
