Good location
The room was boiling (sweatingly hot) - the window was broken and the heating wouldn't turn off. Not only was the room to hot to sleep, but also a party was in the room down the hall booming music till 6am. No staff seemed to bother to talk to them. The breakfast room looked sad with free continental (minimal food) and hot was £15!!!

The location is great in town centre.
The women who booked and checked me in had fantastic customer service. I do her a disservice by not remembering her name. Pretty lady. She explained the whole process to me from booking over the phone to being there in person. An asset to the company.
The outflow from the a/c was extremely low, looked the the filters needed cleaning as the vents were full of dust.
Mould on the grout between the tiles in the shower area was not a huge fan off. The shower head kept sliding down its pole and could not be fixed to one area. No shower Matt so kept slipping in the tub. The fan was small so was a hot night.
There was 1 glass and two people staying in the room.
The iron kept leaking water on the top and was extremely annoying.
The windows are difficult to open and my friend hurt himself opening the window. Very stiff

very comfy, good value for money. It seems to be renovated recently, everything is nice and clean. The staff are all very kind and willing to help. The building itself is an old building but the location is quite central, good access to public transport. The breakfast was good. There were several menu options to choose.
It wasn’t a big problem but it would be better if there’s no noise from the ventilation perhaps. I had a pair of earplugs luckily for a good sleep.

the room and the bathroom/ shower were very nice. plus there was a lovely staff member, a young lady that was very helpful and friendly.
when we checked in it was apparent that the room and linen had not been cleaned so we had to go back downstairs and wait well over an hour for the room to be ready for us. lovely young female staff member offered us a few free drinks while we waited which made the wait better. I didn’t get her name but she was very apologetic and friendly. however the guy that was the manager was as useful as a chocolate teapot. we also had a bad experience with the food that the manager blamed on the chef not knowing the new menu. my partner also found a rolled up £5 note behind the desk with a suspicious looking white powder on it so we will not be visiting again.

The staff were extremely attentive. (Particularly Alex.) The Hotel was comfortable and we were pleased with our room. Breakfast was great!
Even though Alex went out of her way to try and resolve the air conditioning in our room I do not believe it was functioning properly.

Quiet room as requested.
Room nice and clean.
Good tasting breakfast.
No parking available near the hotel. Public car park a few minutes walk away.
No blinds in the bathroom for sun protection.
No remote control for TV.
Simply furnished breakfast room and poorly presented buffet.
Hotel management not very friendly and not accommodating to night workers - would charge 20 pounds for 1 hour late check out.

Central location, reasonably priced. staff very friendly. Breakfast delicious
The hotel was rather run down. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls with multiple patches of paint scuffed on the stairway leading up to the rooms. The room itself was really well presented although room 205 you can’t actually sit on the toilet seat without crushing your legs (I am a 5ft 5’ woman) so I did have to sit sidesaddle which was quite amusing.

Very central location, rooms were modern and clean. The surrounding location was very nice, and there were a number of restaurants and bars nearby. It was convenient for us as we were only in town for one night.
No dedicated car park, so worth noting that you will need to park in a public car park overnight. The hotel is on top of the ground-floor pub, although there was relatively little noise from that. There was some outside noise as a result of a food van parked up overnight serving food.

The menu items were cooked and presented well.
lacked GF options. Lacked a variety for the non menu items and there was a communal tea spoon at the hot drink station where there was also a pile of used teabags.

Our room was a generous size with a large bathroom, which had a massive walk in shower. A good size TV. Our room over looked part of the town square which suited us.
The pubs evening live act, a singer with his guitar, was the highlight of our stay. (Sat 25th Feb) We were thoroughly entertained for a full 2 hrs, by a true professional!
The hot cooked breakfast was perfectly adequate, although the griddled toast was not good.
The hot water in the flask was not hot enough in my opinion, and the Nescafe coffee sachets cheap and nasty.
We had dinner in their restaurant which was a total disaster....wrong food bought out, veg forgotten, tasteless glutinous gravy and inedible chicken which had to be sent back. They had a new chef apparently. To be fair staff and management were extremely apologetic and a full refund for the dinner was given.

Really nice hotel, great sized rooms.
When i arrived, it said my booking was cancelled, so I had to call booking.com and from their end it wasn't. They had already taken the money, but the hotel hadn't received it, so i had to pay again.
That wasn't the bother. The problem is, its coming up to two months and I still haven't received my refund! I've contacted booking.com about this 4 times! And the hotel said it would come in 12-15 days. 20 days later it hasnt! So i called again start of the week and the manager said "I hadn't realised it was a refund you were after, I do not have your details, so could you send them over" - how ridiculous! This should have been said before. Refund should be with me soon. Furious.
So becareful, I'd suggest calling the hotel before you arrive to make sure this doesnt happen again.
Also poo marks in the toilet upon arrival. Disgusting.

The bathroom was nicely very spacious and the bed and pillows very comfortable. There were many lovely extras like heated towel racks, bottle of water and chocolates and cookies in the room as well as tea and coffee. The staff were most pleasant.
It was noisy outside in the plaza even at 4:00 am! Also the hotel had live music in the bar (actually they were quite good) but even though we were on the top floor, could hear it very loudly until quite late. There was no lift and the stairs were quite narrow for carrying cases.
