Smoky Sunrise is located in prestigious Black Bear Falls Resort. Just 2.5 miles from downtown Gatlinburg, Ober Gatlinburg, ski slopes and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance. Our cabin is easily accessible just 1 mile from traffic light 2A 0n hwy 321 very near the Galtinburg post office, fire dept.,police dept. and med center. This location gives our guest the privacy of staying in a beautiful tree covered resort yet feeling safe because the city offices are nearby. There are also banks, a grocery store, trolley pickup, restaurants plus much more within 7 minutes of the cabin location. Smoky Sunrise is also near all attractions.
The resort is unique because the cabins are built along the natural lay of the land. Smoky Sunrise is approximately 100 ft. from neighboring cabins and shares a private drive with the cabin next door. The HOA has rigid rules that help insure that the beauty of the natural environment is preserved while adding flowers, shrubs, and naturally flowering plants to enhance the beauty of the property. The resort is well maintained and cared for the entire year.
Smoky Sunrise is just what the name implies. If you get up early you can watch the sunrise over the Smoky Mountains from the great room or deck, and experience the beautiful ever-changing colors as the sun rises. The photos of the mountains were taken at different times of the year without the use of zoom lens.
The resort offers a private, heated swimming pool within a short walking distance of the cabin. If you should choose to drive, there is a parking area available. Also available is a spacious clubhouse that can be rented for weddings, private parties, and other occasions. Fees are very reasonable.

The layout of Smoky Sunrise was spacious with everyone having privacy on a different level, but also terrific game room and living room space to hangout together. Loved amenities of pool table and hot tub. Decor was cute for a mountain cabin, and place was very clean. Note that road to the cabin is very steep—but difficult in the rain.and I would not do it in the snow without a 4WD and chains.

The cabin was wonderful ,loved seeing the bears visiting in the morning and it's close to all the excitement of the city but still. Quiet

Our family stayed here the week of the 4th of July. It was perfect. The younger adults especially loved the pool table and hot tub. We all loved the outdoor space for coffee, reading, and unwinding at night. The view was spectacular. The entire cabin was clean and just like the pictures. We want to come back to this exact spot.

The cabin was very clean and had everything needed for a wonderful week long stay. Had a couple issues which I let owner know about that may need to be looked at. Parking was a little difficult with a full size truck, if another vehicle in drive there would be no way of parking it. The hot tub on deck was very relaxing, but could not figure out how to turn up the heat. My 5 year old did not want to leave.

The cabin is beautiful and easily fit or needs. Close to Gatlinburg. If there were anything that could be updated I would say beds but honestly that’s the norm anywhere you stay that’s not home. If we choose to stay again I would be glad to stay here. Wish the parking was easier but we dealt with that with 3 vehicles.

The cabin was perfect. We enjoyed being close to the National park for its hiking trails, Gatlinburg for some shopping and Pigeon Forge for our entertainment. My family had plenty of space in the cabin - at night they were relaxing in the hot tub or playing pool and in the morning the large deck was used for breakfast and taking in the scenery.

Cabin has 3 levels which was perfect for us since there were 3 couples. Everyone had privacy. Everyone had their own bath. Had a truck and small SUV so parking was tight but it was fine. HOA which was nice bc we knew it would be quiet and peaceful which is exactly what we were looking for. Pool was nice. Nice spacious common area and rec room. I would definitely stay here again.

Cabin was beautiful! We really enjoyed our stay. We saw a bear in the yard one night. Beautiful views, only negative was upstairs bedroom was dusty and had cobwebs. Beds were comfortable, would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Beautiful, clean, relaxing, well equipped and in a great location. Two families of four stayed and enjoyed our time. Only “complaint” is that the queen bed on the main level was pretty uncomfortable after about two days. Overall great stay, and would absolutely return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin! There are as plenty to do and plenty of room for everyone to have their privacy. Close to so much within a short drive, but felt remote and away from all the ‘excitement’ that Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge bring.

We will definitely come back. Sad we didn’t see any bears but this place was awesome to have a great time with family. Very family friendly and cozy to spend your days here. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!

Our family of seven had a great vacation even though it was very busy during Thanksgiving. We absolutely loved the cabin. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cabin. The view was breathtaking every morning and evening. We will definitely come back and stay here. :) May you and your family have a Very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!

The cabin was very spacious -just outdated. The couch and loveseat well worn and the beds definitely could use some some new frames and mattresses. Upon arrival we found some trash that was bagged and left on porch, not enough towels, especially wash clothes for a 3 night stay. I had one towel and one washcloth in my bath for 3 nights. We needed a mixer-found it but no attachments-pots ok-pans need to be replaced. It’s a spacious cabin just could use some TLC!!! Bathtub down stairs didn’t have a stopper (broken off) to give the little ones a bath. Like I said it needs to be updated! Plenty of hot water though! We did enjoy it but I wish I could say it was a pretty cabin but it could be!! The kitchen trash can is so small and has a big crack running down the side of it so every time you go to pull the trash bag out it tears the bag and the trash is on the floor-an easy fix for around $10.00.

Love everything! Location, cabin, layout, everything. We really enjoyed the big front porch and the separate bedrooms and bathrooms on every level. It was exactly what we needed. Would stay again!

The cottage was great for our family as everyone had their own floor. It was clean, but i took a star away as there were multiple ash contwiners with cigarette butts on porches. I had to continually hide these from my one year old.

We had a great time in Tennessee. Seven adults stayed at the cabin for a family wedding. Everything is close. We ran out of toilet paper & trash bags but there are plenty of kitchen utensils. We made breakfast & sat at the table together to eat. The pool table was a big hit!

Thank you for a fantastic stay. It is a beautiful cabin. It had wonderful bedrooms and great gathering spaces for accommodating our party of 7. The kitchen was well stocked. We had two minivans and one SUV and were able to park in front of the cabin easily. We just needed a few extra minutes to pull out of the driveway. The drive to the cabin is relatively flat. The last ¼ mile is uphill, but it was very manageable, even with a minivan. Roger was a wonderful host.

Enjoyed our stay. Even had a visitor (bear). :) Will be booking this one again for next Fall. Thank you for such a warm inviting place to stay. Only thing is I wish checkout was later than 10am. Awesome place to stay!

Amazing cabin with spectacular views. Wish we had more time to just relax . The stairs was very challenging for my husband he stayed on the bottom floor and did not have a chance to see the view from above.

Perfect spot for 6 adults, close to downtown Gatlinburg and activities while still feeling like a secluded cabin.

The cabin was a great home away from home. Quite clean, comfortable, and large enough to have separate space when wanted. The pool table was fun and the views were gorgeous! Too hot for the hot tub, but a cozy, good place to stay. Only drawbacks were pillows are pretty flat upstairs and son said bottom bed wasn't very comfortable. Everything else - perfect!

Our family stayed with my parents and there was plenty of room to spread out with a bedroom on each of the three levels. Easy check in process and minimal cleanup instructions for checkout. Great view of the mountains in a quiet neighborhood of cabins. Private deck setting.

This cabin was perfect for me and my husband, daughter and 2 granddaughters. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool table.
Great Location! I also liked the Nintendo! What I’m trying to say is this was a perfect cabin!

This was the perfect cabin in the mountains! It was clean, spacious and close to downtown Gatlinburg. We could have used more toilet paper for 8 people for 3 days so you might want to bring some along, we did manage. The air was phenomenal and kept it very cool in the whole cabin! The decks and views are just what we were looking for.

The cabin was great only a few issues like the alarm system randomly goes off 3AM (not fun) the hot tub overflows with 2 people in it (pours on the first floor) and the trash could have been picked up once or twice for our large group

This place is amazing. Had a blast on vacation, my family enjoyed hanging out on the balcony looking at the mountains very much. Will be back!
