Super Ausstattung, besonders in der Küche waren wichtige Utensilien und Maschinen vorhanden.
Tolle Lage , freundlicher Kontakt.
Schon bei der Ankunft fühlte man sich wohl. Hier möchte man gerne länger bleiben.

The owner of the property was close by if there were any problems, in our case none.
The property was very good value.
The main road (no 1) to Selfoss was nearby , but not too close as to be a problem.
The host, Krissa, was most helpful. There were items already there that were needed eg dish washer tablets.
The kitchen appliances were first class and the property was exceptionally well heated.
I would stay there again without doubt.
The bedding in the two double bedrooms were of very good quality.
The bedding in the bedroom with bunk beds was of a lesser quality.

The place is very easy to reach. It's on beautiful countryside not too far away from Reykjavik and from road 1. The hostess was very friendly.

This is a lovely little cottage with 3 small bedrooms, 2 queen and one with bunkbeds. Beautiful terrace overlooking the fields, you can watch the icelandic horses grazing. The large hot tub was perfect in the evening! Comfortable beds. 2 bathrooms, one is quite roomy, good showers. Kitchen was fine and quite well equipped (although we didn't cook).
It was a little tricky to find - the google maps pin was a bit off and the highway exit has been recently changed, so it was not clear at first. Go on to the exit AFTER where google maps shows. Then follow the directions on google maps and again do not turn where it says -- look for the horse farm, drive into their driveway and then further on follow the sign for Stryta. There are 3 guesthouses, this is the 2nd one.
Not much space to unpack or hang up clothes - only in the kids room.

This is a lovely little house on a farm with lots of friendly animals (we were greeted by a cat and two dogs, and the back deck overlooks a horse paddock with lots of lovely Icelandic horses and their babies!). The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay - kitchen is better appointed than what is standard for an AirBnB, there was working laundry - including a dryer which can be hard to come by in Europe. And it has a hot tub on the back deck which is a great way to end the day after lots of hiking and walking. The owner was super responsive so it was easy to get questions answered. The location was perfect for our itinerary (used it as a jumping off point for golden circle).
Pro tip: use Apple Maps to locate it; Google Maps had us a few streets over in the middle of a field :)
We didn’t initially see the room darkening shades behind the curtains, and even once we did, they could have been darker. We were there for essentially 24 hours of light so this would have been helpful.

Everything was great. The beds were really comfortable, kitchen equipped, the location convenient, the view to horses great and hot tube amazing. And last but not least - visiting Cat - The Best 😁

The location was amazing, on a working farm with horses. Views were incredible, house was great!

Great location and great house. Everything we could possibly need was provided. It has a nice size kitchen so you can cook your own meals. It was great to have our own hot tub to relax in after a day out and about. Great value!

Location was amazing, views were amazing. Even had a visit from a local cat for the night

Location was excellent for travelling around and seeing the area around Vik and the surrounding area, not too far too travel to see local attractions. Having a hot tub to relax in after a long day out especially with other teenagers. The place was spacious and very clean

This lovely home was so peaceful and quiet! it’s nicely finished, had plenty of room for my family of 5, and having a washer plus a dryer was essential to keeping our packing light. Everything was very clean, the beds were comfy, and the kitchen well stocked. The hot tub was a fun treat to sit outside at night and watch the horses. And the horses— we loved seeing them at the fence line right behind the house! The hosts are super responsive and helpful. Definitely recommend this home when visiting the Golden Circle area, as the location is quite convenient for sightseeing, hot springs, and horseback riding tours.
Honestly have no complaints!

Situated in the country with gorgeous views and horses grazing out the front deck, it was peaceful and relaxing. There are 2 towns nearby for groceries or take-away, and there's easy access to the sights on the Golden Circle. The geothermal river with hot springs is also nearby. 2 bathrooms each with a shower was hugely helpful for our family of 6. We enjoyed the hot tub every night as well, watching the horses graze nearby. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Nothing - it was a great stay.

Super comfortable beds. Peaceful. Tranquil setting

Spacious house, we were a group of 8 and had plenty of room for the kids to run around and play. Good starting point to explore the south and south-west of the island. The horses were awesome!
Nothing, all good!

we had a great time here at Strýta, even the weather was not so great while our 5 day visit.

The Stryta Guesthouse is the place where you love to stay when visiting South Iceland: situated close to Hveragerdi, but not close to main road no 1. There you wake up with a phenomenal view and it only gets better: there's no personnel, which means you really feel at home all the time; the kitchen is huge and equipped with anything you need to prepare meals. The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, so for 5 persons it is optimal. We had coffe machine, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and a dryer - everything. The host Krissa, was always ready to help via Booking messages as well as personally. We came to the farm in the night at 4.30 am in a horrible snowstorm, everything was covered with snow. Krissa woke up very early, invited us to the coffe room in stables. To have a coffe "with horses" was great... in the meantime her husband drive snow plough to remove snowbanks. after his great job we followed him to our amazing, warm house. So, we met great people with horses, dogs and cat. We were happy also because of the hot tube on the terrace, which we used with fun. Everything feels like it has been managed with care and love, and that's the best a guest can find in any trip. I will definitely come back if visiting Iceland again.

Just amazing

Super nice location with a superb hot pot and good infrastructure. Shopping supplies are just a few kilometres away, still the place is very quiet.
Shower, oven and coffeemaker were not perfectly clean, all other stuff was well maintained. Wireless was not totally stable.

Everything. Very spacious, had everything you could possibly want, and the host was a lovely lady,
Nothing.

The space, the view with horses right in front of the house, the hottub, two bathrooms, easy to approach owners, location close to the ring road… One of our favourite accommodations in Iceland!
The mattress of one the double beds was a bit too soft for adults, we rolled into the middle and decided to switch rooms with one of our children. Also the WiFi is not very reliable.

We loved this property so much, we didn’t want to leave! The house is very cozy and comfortable, kitchen stocked with all the basics (we cooked every day in the week of our stay, and everything we needed was there), and the setting is spectacular. The house feels remote when you are in it, but you can easily access many south coast towns and sights. Krissa was accommodating about our check-in time and helpful in showing us how everything worked. The horses are so much fun to watch, and the dogs and cat who live on the property stopped by to say hello most days. It felt more like a home than a rental.
We loved everything!

We loved staying in the beautiful guesthouse, watching the horses and foals and enjoying the hottub! Inspite of rainy weather we really enjoyed our stay! The owners are really caring and helping out immediately when there are questions. The house was really tidy and there was plenty of space inside and a big terrace on the outside. It is close to road number one but still very calm. Shopping 5min drive away kn hveragerdi, Reykjavik as well as the volcano in a bit less than an hour away. We can only recommend a stay at this lovely place!!! Thanks a lot!

Where to start! It’s so spacious - so much more so than the pictures suggest in the description. Tastefully decorated with every convenience including a fabulous hot tub with an even more fabulous view over the fields surrounding the property and the horses contained within them. I would come back here again in a heartbeat :)

Perfect! Top of the top - this was our favourite stay during our Iceland road trip and we were so happy that we've reserved a stay in this home for 4 nights.
Everything was perfect about this house - it was big, pretty, very well equipped (well-equipped kitchen - it was a pleasure to cook there own meals; a washing machine and a dryer), extremely comfortable. We felt there like at home.
We enjoyed also the hot tube.
Also, the surrounding was so beautiful and peaceful and it was a pleasure to observe the horses every day :)
The owner was so super nice during our whole stay - we felt very much welcomed there.
I loved this house, would definitely stay there again and I recommend it to everyone!
Nothing to complaint about - everything was perfect

This ended up being our favorite stay during our trip. The location was great and a perfect place near the end of our Ring Road journey and from which to start/end our day on the Golden Circle. It had a nice layout for our family of five and we could easily spend time all together or spread out a bit. The hot tub was lovely and easy to use - you could relax and watch the horses grazing a few feet away. This was also our only stay with both a washing machine and separate dryer which was amazing to have. Our host was lovely and accommodating. It was also close to town/stores/restaurants, etc. Highly recommend this home.
No complaints.

Home was perfect for our family of 5. So quiet and peaceful. Kids sat and watched the horses the whole time. Perfect start to our vacation. We especially loved the hot tub and proximity to the hot river hike and Viking restaurant. Highly recommend! Owner was wonderful as well!
Loved everything.

The location is good, house is clean and fully equiped, the owners are wonderful people. It was a beautiful, quiet, rainy weekend for us✨
It also didn't hurt having horses right outside the window for our little girl to enjoy watching❤️

I liked everything about it the owner Krissa is a really nice person and told us all the important things about the guesthouse where things were located and so on. The place was clean and the location was really really nice close to selfoss and from there the golden circle is not so far away.

Comfortable, well-heated, very clean and well equipped. Pleasant service with owner. Well appointed between top attractions; relaxing place to come back to at the end of a full day sight seeing.
There was nothing myself or my family disliked about this property or location.
