Such a great location.... was able to walk everywhere in reykjavik from such a central location! Really comfy beds after our long flight!!!

No on-site staff = check-in nightmare. This hotel has no staff on-site. I arrived after midnight due to a late flight only to find myself locked out of the hotel. I rang and ran the bell until finally a security guard answered the door. He was worthless, however. He said he only did security and pointed out a small number by the keypad that I needed to call. At least they answered and said I should have received check-in instruction via email but I didn't (later discovered it went to spam). He gave me a number for the keypad to open the building door and my room door. However, when I asked him about parking, he only provided worthless information--"We don't provide any parking. Park on the street." I ended up having to stop random strangers on the street to ask how parking works in downtown Reykjavik. At 1 am these were mostly drunk bar patron stumbling home but I finally found someone helpful (and sober) enough to show me an app that I needed to download to pay for parking and explained Reykjavik's P1, P2, and P3 zone system. By the way, P1 only allows for 3 hours parking max so, in order to not have to get up early just to move my rental car to avoid a parking ticket, I had to block several blocks away in the closest P2 zone to the hotel (which allows parking all day), and drag my luggage multiple blocks to the hotel. This is the kind of helpful information that front desk staff (or a dedicated concierge at a nicer hotel) usually provide. Not having on-site staff is bad.

Beautiful penthouse! Excellent service - owner was fast at respond and very helpful. Lots of shopping close by - souvenir shopping, grocery shopping, art. Restaurants, food, drinks, everything you can think of right outside the door! I’m walking distance to rainbow road and church.

I loved the decor and the communication. The bed was superb and I love personless-checkin. That's where I'll stay in Reykjavik!
4.6
Great location and clean apt. However low former ceilings and esp if you are over 5’10 you actually have to crouch in many areas of apt
4.6
Great location other than parking. You will have to walk pretty far with your luggage. After that the location is perfect for walking to all the shops, restaurants and attractions. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was pretty large by Iceland standards. I would stay there again.
4.6
The room was well thought out, efficient and located exactly where we wanted to be. We could have stayed there for a week comfortably. The only thing we would have liked was some flat space around the bathroom sink and more hooks to hang things.
4.6
Friendly and helpful onsite staff, especially Gisli who looks after our needs and help resolve any issues. He is courteous, responsive and problem solving. Hotel location is excellent. washroom is small and tight. A bit of noise from street. Overall facilities are good. Will come back to this apartment hotel.

The hotel is great, but so hard to find. It was my 5th night in the city. If youve been to Reykjavik you know thats long enough to have explored pretty much the whole thing... and I still couldnt find it!The check-in instructions were wrong. And when I called to ask for help he talked to me like I was an idiot- totally insulting. Once I got past the check in everything was wonderful. The room was gorgeous with beautiful finishes. Its a little further from the total tourist trap of the main part of the strip which i loved, but only like 2 blocks removed- so an easy walk, but queiter and more local charm. I would absolutely stay here again- but customer service needs some work!

This place was a gem! Nicely updated and very cute. Super clean!! And well equiped. Super easy check in and quick to respond!
The area is very quiant and no loss of local culture. Tons of shops and many eateries to choose from! Everyone was so nice!
Only down side, it was very hard to find. Very small sign for the Hotel under a much larger sign for the wine bar.
Overall, fantastic experience and i would totally stay here again!!

Hotel was in a great location for shops, food, and seeing the sights. They worked with us to store luggage and check in earlier. Highly recommend this hotel.
4.6
Safe, great for shopping, lots of dining options, very walk-able, lots of local culture, grocery store close. The proprietor was respectful, helpful and kind. Very clean and up to date rooms. Comfortable bed.
4.6
The computerized door locks did not work and we had to stand out in the cold on multiple occasions while we tried to get in contact with the staff. The staff was unhelpful and did not resolve the issue and they were very rude.
4.6
Nice place to stay in there but It is little inconvenient to park.
4.6
Perfect little apartment for a stay in the heart of Reykjavik!
4.6
Perfect location, safe, clean. A little nosy at times but manageable since we were there in the middle of it all. Great shops and restaurants. Communication was via email or Expedia text box, so didn’t get an immediate response, but one within the day. We requested daily housekeeping and a one hour later check out and received. I totally definitely stay here again.
4.6
Great central location, weekend visit meant street parking was free if you could find it, but also there was a noisy bar nearby until around midnight-ish. Overall, very comfortable for two adults and two older teens.
4.6
Only hotel on the trip I am rating. We were simply blown away by the quality. And the price wasn’t that much more than you’d pay for a 3-star room. Highly-recommended.
4.6
The uniqueness of this hotel is the self check in and out. You are given a code to access the building and room. Everything is done via email. Although we were given the wrong room number, it was rectified with a phone call. Room was clean, with completely furnished kitchen. And complementary Nespresso machine. Hotel is situated in the heart of downtown Reykjavic. Grocery market nearby and close to everything. Will stay again!

Great location. Reasonable price. Good communication. Nice kitchen.

A lot of hairs from previous guests in the bed.

This property was a fantastic blend of historic architecture & details with a modern, clean update. Everything we needed (minus the microwave & dishwasher as stated on the description) was in our King Studio Apartment. Tasteful and vintage decor, clean and ample linens, soaps and even a Nespresso machine was much appreciated!
The building’s location is perfect for access to the the downtown sights and shops. Easily walked to from the BSI and minutes away to Stop #6 if you’re going on excursions!
Communication was always easy!
4.6
Amazing apartment right in the centre of Reykjavík, everything at your door step. It is really handy having an access code instead of carrying a room key about all day. The apartment is really modern inside and has everything you need. Definitely recommend to anyone travelling to Iceland!
4.6
Rooms are modern and good amount of room. Great location to walk around downtown and easy access to taxi’s. Lots of shops, restaurants and site seeing near by.
4.6
Amazing apartment in an amazing location of downtown Reykjavík. Couldn’t have asked for more. We requested an extra bed which was promptly delivered. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything you could need. Really couldn’t ask for more. Loved the stay and would 100% stay again. Loved it!
4.6
Loved the room and location, however, we were not satisfied about communication with staff. While they responded to our phone calls when we had issues, they did not respond to our request to book our bus to the airport. They told us they would book for us in our welcome email, but after phone calls and a few emails, we ended up having to book ourselves last minute. They also have a room for storing luggage, however once through the main doors, it was not guarded or locked in any way. We opted for a different luggage storage. Other than those 2 details, we absolutely loved our room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. Self check in was a breeze. You cannot beat this location!
4.6
The location and aesthetics were perfect! The bathroom was also beautiful and spacious.
4.6
It is amazing

Excelllent location.. only a few minutes walk for Bus Stop 9 for tours and airport transfer.
Could have used an additional chair in the room. Note not too convenient for larger suitcase.
Nice to have luggage storage until 5 pm after checkout.
4.6
Better than expected! Great location, decor and cleanliness. Will be back hopefully soon!
4.6
I enjoyed our stay. I would stay here again. There’s no parking so if you rent a car it might not be convenient. Otherwise it’s a perfect location for an Iceland trip.
4.6
Good communication the apartment very clean and good location
4.6
Average hotel, good location. Bed is too soft . Hair dryer is broken and can’t be exchanged.
4.6
Great property. Close to the nightlife
4.6
Loved it! It was adorable and a great location. I liked how small
It was, seemed a little more relaxing then a big hotel with a ton of people. Two negatives, the walls are kinda thin, we heard screaming kids one night really loud and was hard to sleep. Not at all the hotel’s fault though. And the second one is the bathroom smell. The hot water in Iceland smells like rotten eggs due to the sulphur. So the bathroom in turn smelled like that also. Probably something u would find most places though. I would absolutely stay here again though. My husband and I really liked it!
4.6
We thought this place was great! Would definitely consider staying here again....within walking distance of pretty much anything you want to do in Reykjavik. Be careful where you park....it looks as though you can park on the street right in front of the hotel, but that mistake cost us around $100.
4.6
Fabulous location, great in-room amenities, easy check in/out, comfortable beds and nice linens. All in all an excellent stay. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend this hotel to friends or family! A gem!
4.6
We stayed in the top floor double and it was incredible. Loved the Nespresso and the balcony. The bathroom was cute and everything had good design choices.
4.6
Great location, clean rooms with a kitchen
