Lindo lugar para descansar, tranquilo y muy acogedor. La anfitriona Franciska siempre atenta enviando información pertinente para que los huéspedes tengan una bonita estadía. Me encanto, espero regresar muy pronto.
Todo estuvo excelente.

We stayed here for 4 nights and the staff was very friendly. We surfed and enjoyed laying in the hammock! We booked a room with sea view which did not disappoint (see picture)

We had a great stay over 4 nights but could have easily stayed longer! It is located at a beautiful beach which is not very touristy. Ayampe also is the perfect location if you are looking for something relaxed. The hotel with Anabel and Franziska is so great. They were so friendly and helped us organize some stuff (travel, surfing lessions etc). We felt very welcome and would definitly recommend it to everyone. The rooms are pretty and very clean. So really all in all perfect! Thank you two so much!

The style of the property is amazing. Room was cozy and had everything you need. Room was cleaned daily and is only a few steps away from the beach. Superb location! Also the staff is helpful and the nicest we met during all of Ecuador.
We liked absolutely everything.

Everything was good, clean and well maintained place. Very helpful and friendly staff.
We didn’t know about the extra charge for credit card, so we used a different payment method.

The hotel was super welcoming and I loved being able to watch the sunset over the ocean from my bed. I was travelling alone, so the hotel was in a great spot to be able to walk to everything safely in Ayampe. The cafe was great and even out of season I really enjoyed everything about it. They we really accommodating when I wanted to go to yoga in the mornings and have a later breakfast and super helpful with lower-cost airport transfers and local recommendations. I loved it so much I returned a week later. You can't beat the view! Perfect if you surf too as they have boards you can use.

beautifully decorated, Mey was so welcoming and kind. any problems she dealt with immediately.
we slept well and liked our room with the balcony facing the sea. perfect location in Ayampe.
the shower either runs boiling or cold and definitely requires a glass door or something as whenever you shower you then soak the room which in turn creates a damp smell.

The place was perfect, just as pictured, very clean and comfortable. The common kitchen was excellent, and we used it several times to prepare meals. The provided breakfast was very enjoyable as well!
Franziska, the owner, and her staff were all amazing and extremely helpful. The coastline in Ayampe was fantastic and fun to explore, although, we picked a cold and wet time of the year to visit and we’re attacked by mosquitos while out in the evenings. that being said, Ganso & Buho was a great retreat and we definitely felt at home.
While there was space to relax on the balcony and the outdoor common areas, because of the rain and cold, it would’ve been nice to have a space indoor to relax. A couch upstairs on the top floor would’ve been perfect, perhaps with some shelves or a a closet to hang things. Regardless, an amazing place. Well designed with a perfect host!

We loved everything! The location is perfect, right next to the beach. The rooms were clean, the bed is comfortable and the breakfast really nice (especially the sour dough bread. We loved it!)
The staff was exceptional and super caring: we felt like home. It was my partners birthday and on very short notice they organized many things: cake, breakfast, a reservation for a table in a lovely restaurant. <3
Also we got loads of help with our travels/ arrival: there was a national strike and some roads where blocked and we received many help which busses we should take. Also they organized a taxi for us.
We loved it and would definitely come back!
Highly recommended!
The weather was a bit rainy but there is a lovely spa with jacuzzi 5 minutes away where we relaxed.

If you’re looking for a clean and quiet beachfront stay in Ayampe, this is it! The rooms were beautiful and offered breezy views of the ocean. Ganso y Buho is in the heart of Ayampe, just a short walk to everything in town. The rooms were zen and we loved sleeping to the sound of the waves. Estelle made a great breakfast and Mey was so friendly and arranged a wonderful tour for us to visit Isla de la Plata! Franzi was also very helpful over WhatsApp and offered to arrange Covid tests before our flight home and helped us get to the airport on time when there were road closures. We had a wonderful stay and hope to be back someday!

A great location, very close to the beach. We got an upgraded room (with sea view!!), which was very nice. The breakfast with fresh fruits was delicious. We also booked a tour to Isla de Plata via this hostel, which was very well organized. Because the tour was in the early morning, the hostel made it possible for us to have an early breakfast, and even arranged a taxi to pick us up.
Everything was great.

everything about the property is lovely. the location the beautiful design and over all excelent infrastructure, the room I got had a balcony with view to the ocean, so chic and confortable, absolutely clean. everyone I met from the staff was very attentive and helpful with kindness and friendliness. I liked every single detail of the property. even the wifi access I did not have to ask they provided me with every single password for every single area upon arrival and they were foreseeing my needs I felt very well taken care of. much recommended

Very clean and right across from the beach with a restaurant right above. The host was very kind and responsive to all our needs. The breakfast was good for my wife who has food intolerances (gluten & soy). A nice stay!
The room was fairly small.
