Nice place to stay a couple of days

Great locations and friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious and bed comfortable. I enjoyed my stay here and extended my days. Good facilities and cosy common areas.

great hangout areas for work, chilling outside of the room. bathrooms were clean and cleaned daily
lots of rules about using the shared facilities that were not articulated in advance causing tension and lack of clarity. rules about guests and shared spaces should be shared on arrival and not be on a case to case basis.

Really lovely place to stay in Ayampe. We had a quadruple room with an external private bathroom. The room was very large and the bathroom was cleaned every day. There was hot water for showers. The kitchen / common facilities were good. Well located - very short walk to beach / restaurants / bars / shops etc.
The wifi was a little patchy in our room, and didn't work all the time.

We loved our stay and have been missing the lovely gardens and the hammocks since we left! Great owners, decent prices, lovely locations and surroundings and a very calm and relaxing environment. Would stay again!
Some travellers seem to take working WiFi as a sign to take over the commen area and make it into their own co-working space, which isn't ideal for the vibe and other guests. When it rains ect, there are many power cuts, which is to be expected for the area and so there's no WiFi or electricity. This honestly came as a relief because the guys couldn't charge their computers and for one day we had peace🌈

This place had such a friendly and welcoming vibe. The kitchen and common dining area were great for getting to know other travellers, for hanging out in the shade to read and listen to the birds. Sandra and her team do a tremendous job of keeping the property well kept and clean. The trees and flowers, greenery in general, contribute to the overall calm and coolness of the property. It’s beautiful. If I return, this is where I’ll stay.

wow, what a great guest house. Lovely property, with lots of green space, trees, flowers and, shade. Only six rooms so it never feels busy. Several hammocks in the common areas, all in shady spots protected from rain. Rooms are simple but comfortable with plenty of space. Small bedside tables electrical outlets, and small lights on both sides of the bed were appreciated! The rooms are constructed with high ceilings and good ventilation, so they stay relatively cool, and cool down quickly in the evening. Nice bathroom, with a good shower. There is a short walk to the beach down a small path, it only takes about three minutes. The Cabañas are a little bit removed from the center of town, so it's very quiet. But, it's only about four-five minutes to walk to the main "downtown" intersection, or maybe five minutes if you take the beach route. This end of the beach is also quieter, and is green right down to the sand. The common kitchen was small but well equipped and organized, with more than enough plates, bowls, cups, and cutlery for everyone. Our room was in the upstairs of the front block, and even had it's own small patio with a hammock - perfect for morning coffee!
Our room was in the front block, upstairs, and the patio was in the sun in the afternoon, so too hot to sit on. Is that really a complaint though? It's the only thing I could think of :)

This is a wonderful place to stay. The room was lovely - cosy, wooden, tasteful, nicely lit, a hammock outside on the balcony, a clean bathroom with hot shower. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke English. The kitchen was well-equipped and had ample fridge space and storage. The whole atmosphere was very relaxed and the other guests were also clearly happy.

No breakfast was included or offered. It’s close to the beach
I paid more than I should have. She collected cash only and charged tax as well - locals told me the place was cheaper. The WiFi was not great.

Ayampe is a little village where people come for surfing and nature. Very quiet place, so please don't expect some kind of Hilton style accomodations. Our cabana was simple, but nice. I particularly appreciated hot shower with great pressure and mosquito nets!!!
Great wifi, very fast!
The owner also arranged a tour for us to La Plata Island, which was very nice.
A beach (super clean) is only a block away from the property. Great tide pools there too!!!
Communal kitchen could have a better, newer utensils. Seriously, some spatulas and pots belong to the trash...
Also, please note, that during a rainy season (May-Sept) the UNPAVED streets of Ayampe become impassable from all the mud. You need a good sturdy pair of hiking boots/or rubber boots and a backpack to get from the bus stop to the hotel. Same for the property: as soon as you step away from pebbly walkways you are in mud up to your knees. ((( It's beyond me why it doesn't bother locals. I think I would at least pave my backyard with the stones from the beach, rather than having mud everywhere... but...

Nice, clean comfortable private room with bathroom. Wonderful staff. Beautiful outdoor garden space with chairs and hammocks to relax. Quiet and relaxing area to listen to birds or watch butterflies go by. Shared outdoor kitchen also had some basic spices and oil. Quick walk to the beach or local restaurants. I did not order the breakfast option. Dog friendly.
It was a very nice place to stay, no complaints!
