PERFECT LOCATION. good value for money. Helpful staff

The little hut on the beach was perfectly priced for what it was. It is on the edge of the jungle and with that comes jungle creatures so it would be best not to book it if you weren’t happy to sleep under a mosquito net with a semi sealed hut (the fly wire is a little torn from people trying to open windows - but the nets do a great job and fly wire isn’t needed). There are plenty of mosquitos outside the hut dusk on. The sheets, beds and towels were good quality. Hot water. We hired good quality snorkels 50B a day and added flippers for 50 B a day. Snorkelling is great here. My 13 yr old kid did an open water course at dive budda next door- thoroughly recommend. We commuted into town twice a day on scooters, a little hairy with steep hills but also quite manageable at low speeds, and being sensible. Cars seem to be super careful around you. Scooters are 250 B a day and hire in town straight off the ferry.

The price and the location are crazy, really worth it. The bungalow per se is simple and lacks a bit of maintenance (at least the cheap ones, that don't have ac but have fan and mosquito net) but is really comfortable and man, you can see Tanore bay's beach from your bed! One of the best beaches in Koh Tao for me by the way, soooo quiet and wild, with coral reefs and rocks that you can climb and jump.
The staff is very helpful too, and they have a restaurant with a really quiet terrace with wonderful views. They can also rent snorkelling material and book snorkel trips (note that the snorkel trip you book with them is a very crowded one, with 90 people or so - if you prefer a private one you can book it on the right side of the beach).
As I said, the bungalows lack a little maintenance, but nothing upseting. What really made me feel upset, though, is that they rent fins, and this beach is not deep enough to use fins, so you go hitting the coral and destroying it. If you go, please don't use them, you can use them when going with the boat trip.

Beautiful location literally right on the beach. Very secluded and peaceful, with a nice restaurant just down the beach from you. En-suite bathroom and nice double bed. Owners let us switch rooms without any problems when our first room was crawling with bugs
There was no AC (just a fan) so was really hot - this is advertised on the listing so not the place’s fault, but something to bear in mind. Quite minimal facilities but you get what you pay for.

Great location right on the beach. It has a really good mix of being quiet in the morning and evenings with more people visiting the beach for the day in the afternoon, without ever getting hugely busy. Food was great and the staff are always happy to help. We also rented snorkeling equipment for the day at just 50 baht. Beach has a bit of plastic wash up overnight but the hotels on the beach are great at cleaning it up every morning to keep it clean.

Great bungalow very close to the beach. They are very basic, but if you book a stay here you do not need more luxuries. Perfect place for some relaxing, snorkeling and diving in the bay. Also some nice restaurant choices on the beach. Far away from all the nightlife on the island side of the island. Just a walk away from some dive centers.
If you want to go to any shops, nightlife or more restaurant choices, you will need a scooter and not be afraid to ride up and down the steep climbs and downhills? No 7-11 nearby, so if you want drinks and snacks you will need to buy them from the local bars wich are not as cheap as 7-11 or any other supermarkets.

It was just by tanote bay and cozy, but remote from the center of the Island. You need a moped or you can go to the resort next to it to get a cheap taxi ticket on set times. Otherwise the taxi costs around 300-400 baht. I had a nice view.
It's old and a bit moldy. You may find a bug inside. My toilet flush stopped working hous before check out.

I really liked that Diamond Beach was on the other side of the island, where it's more quiet and relaxing. It was easy to a rent motorbike from a place nearby to get around the island. I loved having our own little bungalow. It was easy to rent snorkel equipment from the resort, with great snorkeling right from the beach.

It is all about the location, which I think is beautiful from the start, and the focus is the sea in which you are going to snorkel or sit at. Do not expect extreme luxuary or great facilities. It is basic but sufficient and clean, and the people like at all other accomodations we went to at Koh Tao do their utter best to make you having a great stay within their capacities.
Foodwise we loved Poseidon, a place next door that is highly recommendable but the place also offers meals.
You can always find little details that were not as they should be in Thailand at this pricepoint but I think it has no value mentioning these.

Very comfortable beach front bungalow with a small balcony, resturant opens from 7.30 am to late evening, very nice staffs.

If you come to Koh Tao to snorkel, this is the place to stay. The bungalows are on the beach and the coral and rocks directly off the beach are some of the best snorkeling on the island. Dive and snorkeling boats from the other side of the island would come to tie up in front of our bungalow. The staff swept the beach each morning and it was very clean.

Staff were amazing.thank you for everything.😊

We moved here for a calm and peaceful few days after spending a few days in the busier side of the island. it was amazing, we stayed in the cheaper hut with a fan instead of AC and it was amazing, literally on the beach. the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed going out snorkelling in the mornings and chilling on our little terrace. the snorkelling on this beach is the best we have done in Thailand.
nothing!!

This is my 10th time on Koh Tao. Perfect snorkling and freediving location on Tanote bay. I love Tanote bay and come here everytime. I will stay here again as it is so easy to go from room to semi alive reef.
Beds made out of the same thing they make snooker tables with and I like my beds hard. So this is saying something. Hard bed. Could cut Diamond with them. Hence the name.

We had a bungalow on the best beach in Koh Tao. Very quit place without too many people. Very clean. Friendly owner/staff. Would recommend.
Many mosquitoes 😂

we had such a beautiful bungalow right across from the beach!
The bungalow was great size with nice bathroom, all clean and the staff were lovely.
Quiet beach with great snorkelling and the restaurant that was part of the resort was also great!
loved our stay here :)

Very nice place with friendly people and very good thai food.
The wifi signal is a bit low in the rooms.

The location is great - just in the center of the Tenote Bay beach, steps away from amazing snorkeling, diving and relaxing. Bungalow - spacious and clean with a nice porch overlooking garden and the sea and spacious bathroom. The food served in their restaurant - best on the beach, despite inconspicuous and a bit messy look of the restaurant itself. Great value of money.
Air-conditioner was quite noisy, slow and sometimes unresponsive (eventually if would cool down the room but it always took a while) - may be time for a new unit.

we had an amazing stay. the location right on tanote bay is second to none. the staff who run it are so lovely and friendly and really helped us out. the bungalows are basic but no complaints at all at this price and location. would 100% recommend if you enjoy peace and quiet with tremendous views (and amazing snorkelling of course)

The resort has an amazing beach ⛱️ and it's amazing location for snorkeling as well. Everything we ordered from the restaurant was very delicious. In addition the staff were very accommodating. This resort is a great value for your dollar. You won't regret staying here. .
If you have mobility issues Koh toa and most of Thailand aren't appropriate for you. However the staff of this resort were very accommodating towards our needs.

I stayed in one of the two bungalows right on the beach for 11 days, what they call the Standard double room with fan.
Wonderful view, great to hear the waves at night, nice beach, especially in the mornings when I was almost alone except for 3-4 other persons.
Good bed and sheets/towels are changed every two days, which is handy because otherwise ants will become too attached to the sweat in your bed.
I had a bike so I went to town and bought fruits, water and snacks every other day.
Fan is enough since the breeze flows through the screened windows on each side,
and although there is no heated water, it is seldomly ice cold since the storage tanks gets heated up.
On the down-side is lack of privacy, in the mornings at 6 the staff is brushing leaves for 30 minutes just outside,
and during the day noisy day-visitors pay no consideration and camp just outside the bungalow.
Also, the food in the restaurant is not that good, and portions are small.
The low point were when I got a Padthai made on 2-minute noodle, instead of the standard thicker egg noodles!
But there are 3-4 other eating places to chose from.

Location is perfect. We were on the beach under the palm tree. First night I didnt know what was falling on the roof. It was coconut. They were falling everyday. Around the house are also squirles and geckos, but we liked that. A lot of dogs, but they were friendly. Beach and the sea were clean. Nice coral reef just a step into the sea. We also meet reef shark in the bay.
We ate at Poseidon, good food, not so cheap. You can also get taxi for 100 baht a person at Poseidon three times daily. Normal price is 500 baht for taxi to pier. The massage on the beach....just do it...perfect...and cheap...and with a smile (I did thai massage twice and if I stay longer, I will do it every day). If you rent motorbike, my advice is to take it with scratch insurance.
Staff is not interesting of anything. I missed conversation or smile or just simple hello, how are you. And a glass of water for welcome drink would be nice. No informations about cleaning, tours...
Cant seat on the little cute terace on morning and evening time because of mosquitos.
