Beautiful place, excellent location, great breakfast! Would definitely come back again!

Beautiful “old” boutique hotel!! It feels like your are staying at someone’s house. Staff was amazing, very friendly! Rooms were nice, beautiful view, but the beds were ok! Great breakfast buffet included

In een heerlijke sfeer waar alles klop (interieur, personeel eten en kamers) hebben we een geweldige verblijf gehad.

Heel vriendelijk personeel. Prachtig hotel, zeer sfeervol en gemoedelijk. .

Het enig nadeel is dat er niet echt een bar is om wat aan te drinken.

We loved our stay.

The breakfast was good. Location is very central for tourist destinations. Our bathroom was small but clean. Lots of charm. The staff was very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. They really were top notch.

Street noise at night was a little much, but we preferred to have the windows open when we could have closed them and turned on the air conditioning. Also this was Friday and Saturday night, probably the most likely nights to hear noise. Our room was right on the corner over both streets.

Exceptional service, great location, very small rooms.

The service was stellar. Breakfast was simply amazing with an exceptional selection of foods. Beautiful outdoor patio with a welcome 'reception ' that was comprised of a selection of red wines (help yourself) and a cheese platter.

Room was very small. We had a twin room however not enough room for 2 suitcases. Bathroom was tiny and wouldn't work for a large person! No room to put toothbrush etc. Could barely turn around..

Awesome - can’t wait to return.

This is probably the most unusual and special hotel I’ve ever stayed in - an incredible experience from start to finish. It’s a luxurious wealthy spice merchant’s home from the old days, brought up to modern day standards and somehow retaining its charm, and made into a comfortable hotel in the middle of the city. The staff are exceptional - live piano and violin music over breakfast is great, even better when accompanied by emotional vocals.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location with a wonderful breakfast.

Palacio das Especiarias has an excellent location near all major attractions or just a quick UBER drive to any of them. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby as well as a lot of entertainment. Breakfast was fabulous and varied. The staff is really nice and helpful. I loved the sound of the piano and at times a duo with a violin while having breakfast.

The room/bathroom was a bit small and there is not much storage space. There are a lot of stairs to go from floor to floor as the elevator is tiny and not too practical. It was not a problem for us yet it could be for certain guests.

A magical place at the heart if Lisbon

I pretty much loved everything about my stay - the place is straight out of a magical fairytale - the decor, the atmosphere is very romantic. Super clean, staff is very friendly! The breakfast was some of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. 5 ⭐️.

Memorable stay in an exotique palace

The deco and the service are impressive. There are a lot of nagivation and spice-themed motifs, which echo very nicely the name of the hotel. Service side, we really feel treated as distinguished guests in a palace. The staff are definitely the best asset of this establishment. The fado dinner was also very well organized. Thanks for the great hospitality!

Part of the floor in our room has some elevation, kids and elderly people need to mind the steps, especially when lights are dim.

Lovely!

This place is simply beautiful. the atmosphere it is relaxing and you feel in a little oasis within the vibrancy of the city. Rooms and clean. Breakfast delicious and the little spa gives and extra point to the restoring and relaxing vibe of the place. The staff is kind as they make sure that everything goes well during the stay. I definitely recommend it and I will definitely come back!

You are made to feel special

The Hotel was Grand on a small scale (Sounds like a contradiction) beautifully restored. Genteel would be a good description but certainly not old fashioned. The staff at the Hotel were delightful particularly Marcio who couldn't do enough for us I'm sure Marcio will be a future manager. The best endorsement I could give is I would stay there again. We had a wonderful stay David & Bridget Hunt

Una joya en el centro de Lisboa

El servicio fue atento hasta el punto de pasarnos a una suite real porque una familia con bebé nos hizo imposible descansar. Natalia y Diogo fueron encantadores y muy resolutivos. El sitio es una joya en el centro de Lisboa, y los desayunos con piano y violín son los más completos y bien cuidados en los que nunca he estado.

No puedo decir nada malo del hotel, de su personal o de las instalaciones. Un acierto total.

Good experience in general

Beautiful decor, great selection for breakfast and great location.

The property should specify that (to my knowledge at least one of) the rooms with 2 single beds is at level -1 with no windows. It looks just like the pictures but it is very small. We were back at 3PM at the hotel and the room was not made up. .. We had to speak to the staff a couple of times before they offered an alternative.

We recommend this to anyone visiting Lisbon

This hotel was exceptional in every way. The staff were great and attention to detail such as wine tasting in the cellar and afternoon tea served whenever you wished (free of charge). The hotels history was just an added bonus.

Séjour gâché par l'attitude très franchement hostile des personnels de Booking.com

L'attitude scandaleuse de Booking.com qui n'a rien respecté, ni le prix initialement affiché, ni sa promesse d'offrir toutes les liaisons aéroport/hôtel, à telle enseigne qu'il n'y aura plus jamais de réservation de ma part avec cette entreprise nulle de chez nuls !!! D'ailleurs l'Espagne poursuit Booking.com de vant la Commission Européenne - et je vais lui offrir par la même occasion nos déboires !!! Cette entreprise est non seulement non fiable, elle est très franchement NUISIBLE : UN PARASITE !!!
