Cannot fault this place ! It was exquisite, tasteful and homely.
We have already planned to come back just to have more time in this stunning house!
It is delightful and inspiring.
Plus, the owner ensures you have EVERYTHING you could possibly need.
Amazing!

We absolutely loved the 2 bedroom house. It truly is luxuriously finished. The park across has a beautiful walking path.
During the day, the traffic noise is loud, but we were out much of the day. It's quiet at night.

It felt like a home away from home .
Traffic noise at times .

The items supplied for breakfast were great.
The cottage is really sweet and every detail has been thought out to make the stay enjoyable.
Bonus to have a spa after the days activities.
Loved the history surrounding the cottage.
Comfy beds, gorgeous bathrooms. The heat pump had been on to make it cosy on arrival. Lovely views over the bay.
We were two friends staying so the 2 brm 2 bath suited us well.
We enjoyed it all but did find the road noise a little loud, however not enough to keep us awake.
It is on a main road to Coromandel town so obviously there will be traffic.

Amazing fully restored cottage.
Warm & Comfortable, great views, shower pressure, bed & the spa was a bonus.
Lots of quality supplies, breakfast, eggs too. Linda has differently gone the extra mile.
Road noise from the trucks but that won't stop me from staying.

Fabulous cottage, beautifully decorated, very well-equipped, lots of extras in fridge and pantry; excellent location close to coast pathway and township.
The wooden steps were a bit slippery after the rain, but the handrail is good.

Linda has thought of everything! The cottage was immaculate, the location stunning and every little detail was beautiful. We loved reading about the history of the cottage and seeing photos of the restoration and renovations. We had such an amazing time, thank you!

What an amazing cottage with a great history. This place had everything you could want. Large kitchen with everything you need, a large bath, spa pool, cozy spaces and a great view when the weather was good and washing machine and dryer if you needed it. Really was a home away from home feeling.
The only downside to this trip and this was nothing to do with the cottage was the weather. No amazing sunsets for us on this trip.

We arrived later in the evening but this was no problem because the keys are in a lock box. This meant I did not have to worry about inconveniencing anyone. Communication with the owner was easy and seamless. They were very accomodating. The accomodation is fantastic. The owners have put effort to make it attractive, comfortable and have anything you may need. It felt luxurious. The view was stunning with the beach across the road. Just a 3 minute drive into town for food and shops which made it so convenient and 37 mins to the start of the Pinnacles Hike. The shower in one bath room was super strong. The outdoor spa tub is always a highlight for me. We enjoyed staying in as much as going out.
The neighbours were not noticeable. The property is on the main road but it is a small town.

Great location. Really appreciated the extras in the pantry. A welcome retreat after a busy day at work.
Dishwasher wouldn’t turn on and a couple of kitchen cupboard doors needed repairing. But minor niggles in an otherwise great stay.

Breakfast was great, we could cook a like evening meal. Linda had very kindly left eggs and bread, perfect
The bed was a little soft for my liking, but hey you can't have everything

close to town, cosy and inviting
found the beds too small as we used to king and we like a softer bed

Great Location - ideal spot to start our discovery of the Corrimandel coastline. Very clean and well appointed property. Great local information provided.
Would have like to have a clothes airer (or small outdoor clothes line) :)

Cottage very comfortable. Good selection of food already in fridge and pantry. Hot tub
On a busy road

The cottage is well located for hiking in the Coromandel area. The view across to the water is nice. The cooking facilities were good and the furniture and bed comfortable.
Having read all of the previous reviews I was surprised to discover just how much traffic noise is heard from the cottage, both during the day and throughout the night (although not as much at night). It apparently didn't bother past guests, but we found the noise to be very intrusive and at the end of a week were very glad to be leaving. We also found the cottage to be quite hot and while the air-conditioning worked in the living area it didn't reach the other areas of the cottage. However, due to the traffic driving past on the main road, we generally didn't open the windows or doors as it was just too noisy.

Great cottage located in a great spot between Coromandel and Auckland. Comfortable with everything we needed for a great stay.

The cottage was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The personal touches definitely made it a home from home. The breakfast provisions were perfect as I hadn't remembered this would be provided from when I made the booking. I couldn't fault the cottage and Linda's communication was excellent. I would strongly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to stay in Thames and visit the Coromandel. Thank you!

Breakfast and amenities great
minor suggestions ... supply an egg beater or whisk for the eggs supplied .... the wiping down sponge was ineffective

Breakfast provided was so good, fresh bread, milk and all the necessary items. Really really stunning views , 2min walk across the road and youre at the beach! Beautiful deck with chairs, best place to watch the sun go down - prime spot - if you love golden hour and taking sunset pics!! Access to house was so easy! we couldnt believe we had the entire cottage for the price it was! One of the best places I have stayed at in New Zealand. Highly recommend this place! Hopefully oneday we will be back!

Very comfortable with quality facilities, provisions and supplies.

a super place to stay, so spacious and beautifully renovated. I can’t put into words how extraordinary and gorgeous this historic cottage was. Mum and I had a very special time here celebrating my 50th birthday.
The roar of the traffic, but this cannot be helped. It is double glazed but the fact it is on the highway and the road surface is rough makes for loud noise. Also the skylight in the back bedroom has no blind and I like a very dark room. Two minor points.

Everything about this cottage was spot on .
