Great location, poor business management!

Great location!

The “fully stocked kitchen” was bare minimum, at best. The coffee maker was so dirty and gross, I couldn’t bring myself to clean it and trust any coffee that would have been made in it. Therefore, I wasted the creamer that I bought from the grocery since I had to buy coffee from a shop… spending more money, not saving! AND, the property didn’t have hot water for 2.5 DAYS of our stay! I was only notified through the app, that it was an issue with the entire property until I submitted my second complaint!! Had I known that it would take 2.5 days for us to get hot water, I would have looked for another place to stay! Full disclosure regarding the problem would have been appreciated! Had heard from other travelers that this Sonder location was better than the one we stayed in previously, I beg to differ!

I would stay in a Sonder again but not that location as it was very noisy on the street below.

The apartment was very nicely decorated, felt very safe and comfortable.

I could tell the sprinklers had gone off previous to my stay as there was water marks on the walls and a slight musty odor. The bedroom was missing reading lamps and when I requested for one a staff member brought one to me. My only issue was NYC would be more quiet than Downtown Tempe with sirens constantly going on the street.

Easy access to healthy foods since you're above Whole Foods. Also near restaurants, night life, yoga etc. Great amenities at apartment complex including pool, hot tub, ping pong + other games and bbq.

Apartments on the inside (pool view vs street view) are fairly close, kind of feels like you're in a fish bowl, but they have blinds and was still a great stay

Very clean. Everything worked. Whole Foods downstairs. Good kitchen for an apartment. Great gym.

Common corridors had a lot of stains. Cookware was rudimentary.

Location was amazing, especially having Whole Foods right downstairs!! Check-in/ Checkout is very convenient with a lock box with a personalized code to access your key fobs for your apartment. The shared public spaces are full of things to do.

No hot water or pressure. Pot smoker on the balcony by the pool. Hallway carpets looked very dirty.

Enjoyed my stay and the building.

Location and Whole Foods being on the second floor of the building.. Loved the common areas and the gym was awesome.

Carpet in the apartment was very, very dirty and stained. The bathroom and bedroom could have used some extra lighting, as they were pretty dark. There was a mixup as to whether I returned the key fobs. I am glad I followed instructions on returning them and I even took a video of me placing them in the lockbox.

Safe area for female solo traveller.

Great location close to lots of restaurants and public transit. Having Wholefoods in building great to pick up meals. This is the University area so lots going on.

Stairwells need to be cleaned, usually don’t use elevator but not nice having to dodge beer cans etc!!

Good location but need to read checkin instructions carefully

Has in-unit laundry with some laundry detergents, great location!

The check-in instruction is complicated and also different from other Sonder. We would need to read the instructions carefully.

The room and facility was excellent. Need to make it easier for people who are a bit older to access their room

Love taking the elevator down to grocery store. Very convenient. Also the work out room was exceptional.

There was no signage to locate the locker which housed the fobs. Glad I was able to locate someone who directed me. This was very inconvenient. Also the instructions how to enter my room didn’t work very well. Ended up urinating my pants because I couldn’t get into my room. I was very embarrassed.

الموقع ممتاز ويوجد بنفس المبنى سوبرماركت ، الشقه رائعه ونظيفه ، المكان آمن جداً ، لكن الحرص كل الحرص على قراءة شروط الدخول وتنزيل التطبيق الخاص بالفندق قبل الوصول ، المكان هادئ ومحترم جداً ، لايسمح فيه باقامة الحفلات والازعاج ولايوجد حيوانات اليفه بالمكان ، بالفعل مناسب جداً للعائلات والاشخاص المحافظين.

Convenient and comfortable

Location is perfect - so nice to have a Whole Food in the same building, since there is a full kitchen. There are a lot of convenience stores and restaurants close by, and it looked like there were things to do. I spent most of my time in Mesa with my family who I was there to visit, so I didn't explore the Tempe area much. It was an easy drive from the Sonder to Mesa, which was nice.

I had asked ahead about spin bikes, and was told they had them. When I arrived, however, not one of the 4 bikes appeared to be working, which was frustrating. There was also a strange lack of lighting in the Sonder. It was fine, and there was definitely some, but it was strange that there were so many switches that were labeled "no function" and so many darker spots in the apartment.

The location

The apartment i got was located in way where no sunlight at all can enter the apartment. The scent the apartment had was awful, i had to purchase febreeze to temporary fix that. Shower won’t stop dripping water. Noisy neighbors.

Great stay. Good value!

Great location! Comfortable unit. Easy check in process. Excellent staff and excellent customer service before and during the trip! 10 stars for customer service always with Sonder.

We love our Sonder stays, but the sofa beds are never very good it seems. This one was particularly bad. The top of the bed was lower then the rest. We had to put the mattress on the floor to make it sleepable. The sheets were stiff and ‘loud’ as such. There was toilet paper in the toilet upon our arrival. The trash cans were not very functional because they had lids with foot pedal did not open and close easily or at all.

Nice place great location

Location is great!

The place is great. Very nice and clean. The stairwells at the bottom were sketchy. Having Whole Foods was nice. The beds were comfortable and pillows were fine. The couch bed was even comfortable. The only slight bummer was having only one tv. But the TV in the living room worked with no problems with my iPad. Very nice

Sheets were stained from previous guests. Wifi did not work well at all. Rooms were dark and secluded.

The apartment was great, in a great location but the facilities problems marred the experience.

Great Location. The apartment was clean inside, though hallways and stairs could use a lot of cleaning. Like other great Sonder places I've stayed at before, I love the interiors and the industrial design.

The clotheswasher didn't work for 4 days, it was crucial for us since we needed to clean our Son's clothes and sheets, etc before he moved to the dorm. During our stay, hot water wasn't available for a few days, twice during the period of stay. The elevator near our unit didn't work for a few days. There wasn't a cleaning facility provided. The online app response folks and local building maintenance people didn't seem to be in sync.

Superb

The location is great in the middle of downtown Tempe and there’s wholefood supermarket just under the property. AC is working perfectly during 110 degrees outside.

The ammenities (shampoo and bathgel) only supplied very little (1-2 days), we stayed for 4 nights. Also there’s some little leftover little garbage under the bed that was not clean properly.

The location and facilities were amazing. It was spacious and having a kitchen and laundry were so beneficial. The app was a great communication tool and staff was very responsive. Property exceeded our expectations. We hadn't rented a car so having the Whole Foods and so much within walking distance was so nice.

Nothing! The only minor inconvenience was being informed the water would be shut off on our last day. We also were short on towels during our stay but were brought more upon request.

Location and convenience

My early check in was cancelled and then reinstated. When we arrived service was still cleaning and so we were not able to check in early. The adapter needed in order to access Chromecast was missing.

Exceptional Place.

The location, security, and proximity to Whole Foods. The bed! The closet! All the amenities! I was able to go out with friends and for meetings several times on Mill Avenue and be back in minutes! LOVED the key fobs and the door lock mechanism. I can't wait to come back! It's luxurious and actually felt like home. I shared photos...(headings may not match)

The washing machine had mold or mildew in it and it made my clothes smell like mold, even after washing them TWICE and after drying them. Icemaker in fridge didn't work. TV would not sync to my chromcast apps no matter how many times I tried.
