Proximity to airport which meant no taxi or buses to be taken - it is within walking distance.
We landed quite late but the hosts were very lovely and had someone waiting for us there to show us around.
The noise from the street and cars/ trucks passing all night made it hard to have a good sleep.
We also found out that the airport is a US military base so we did hear some jets in the morning

I liked the comfort of the bed and the overgrown garden. There was also coffee, tea and wine that you could drink for free. Very nice. 7 minutes walking from airport, very practical when there are no taxi's driving in the night and you just landed or have to go.
The bedrooms were very blank but everything you needed was in there so it was fine. The bathroom looked nice but not really clean.

Location was good, next to airport
Check in process was clunky and unnecessarily complicated. We were told to wait for an employee to check out but they never showed up. We had to leave to catch our flight.

Nice old house and excellent location close to the airport.
Unforgivable: no hot shower. Boiler not working.

The hostel is in an excellent location right next to the airport.
Rooms and bathroom could be cleaner. The mattresses are not very comfortable, but it was fine for one night.

We chose the place for its location as we arrived almost at midnight and we had to walk from the airport. It took us about 10 mins on foot from the airport. They were nice by attending us that late. It is an old building but they maintain the cleanliness well. There is also a bus line right to Praia da Vitória, a few mins walk from the house.
You can hear everything in separate rooms but we weren't bothered much as there was only another room occupied and we spent just a night there. There were 2 bathrooms, both had showers which is great but one of them didn't drain well.

Similar to the other reviews, we booked the accomodation mostly due to the proximity to the airport
Value for money is relatively good
The place was clean
We agreed in the morning on a check-in time at 8pm, but nobody showed up; a neighbor had to call the owner before anybody appeared
The key to open the main door has some problems. Make sure you get it explained how to open the door (which we did as some other reviews mentioned it). They should just change the lock
A random guy came at 5.30 in the morning to do the check-out, but no idea who he was

Staff is very good 👍👍

good location , super close to the airport and restaurant next door.
washrooms aren’t that clean (to be expected since it’s a hostel type of environment so it’s shared)
it’s quite noisy since it’s on a busy/main road so if you are a light sleeper you may not get shut eye(wasn’t able to close one set of windows so was even louder).

Very close to airport (walking distance), and very clean! Very prompt service.
The bed was very uncomfortable, which could be addressed. The walls are extremely thin, nothing to do here! Just bring earplugs.

super close to the airport; you can walk with a rolling case or backpack. shared kitchen had all I needed.

Close to the airport - ideal for last night before early morning flight
Big beautiful garden, helpful personal
Quite noisy - from one side there was street with heavy traffic, from another side airport

We did not stay in Casa D'avo because apparently there was an issue with the property, but we were offered an alternative that was five stars. I cannot recommend this location specifically, but the host is excellent and 100% recommend.

Location: short walking distance from airport; next to a good restaurant; nice for walking and running in the village and the fields. It is a traditional building and room, which I liked very much. Good coffee was freely available in the kitchen. The (shared) bathroom was modern and clean. The common room was nice.
The place was locked when I arrived, no one responded to knocks, bell rings or telephone calls. I had to inquire at the restaurant next door: they send me to another house where a lady tried to locate the owner. After half an hour somebody (very helpful and apologetic) arrived to let me in. When I got up next morning, I was locked in: the key did not open the door from the inside, I had to use a "burglar's trick" to get out.

The proximity to the airport and a very good restaurant.
During the night a person entered the establishment, he had a key which allowed him to open the doors. He turned on the lights and came into our room. He woke us up and fled, leaving the lights on and the doors open.
Secondly, at the entrance of the hotel, under our bedroom window, a group of several people ended their very noisy evening by preventing us from sleeping.
Compensation is needed.
