Central, easy access to Dundee town centre. It's likely that I will stay there again. I like the hippy atmosphere.
I feel it could have cost a bit less.

Very little
After being informed that someone I was staying with had tested positive for COVID, the hotel refused to refund me for choosing not to stay with them. They don't value the health and safety of customers.

Perfect location - just yards from the station and not much further from the Caird Hall where my daughter's graduation ceremony was being held. My room and all the facilities were lovely and clean, and plates and cutlery were provided, which is so handy but unusual in a guesthouse. Helpful and friendly contact with the owner before I arrived meant quick and easy self-check-in. The breakfast menu looked good and catered for a range of dietary requirements, though I didn't try it myself.
The shared facilities were down a flight of stairs from my room, but since the location and the price were both so fantastic I didn't mind (free exercise!)

I like the laid back vibe of the guest house, flexible check in, location and friendly staff.
I really enjoyed my stay. I maybe should have requested a room nearer toilets as being pregnant meant lots of trips up and down stairs to the loo and dvd player didnt work but otherwise was great!

I liked the breakfast, was a great selection of food available and service was very prompt and friendly. Location was perfect as was 3 or 4 minutes from train station, and not far from venue I was attending on trip. The room was on the top floor but was very well equipped for the purposes of my stay, only thing would say is that milk portions were not in room but that was because they were kept in the communal fridge downstairs which was a plus as tea was not too hot to drink when made and milk would not go off or be warm. Shower rooms were very clean as were the toilets, all facilities were excellent and easy to access.
I think if you are physically disabled it isn't the place to stay as I don't think there were any lifts so no way of getting to the guest house other than stairs, but was fine for me. I had a bit of trouble getting in as had to work out how to use safe to get room keys but that was more about my ignorance of how to use such things!

The building is quirky and interesting, an old Dundee tenement with curves in unexpected places and Indian print on the window. Not easy to navigate the spiral staircase with a big suitcase, but nice to look at. The location is great - a real buzz in the street, which is closed to traffic and has all sorts of interesting eating places and bars with outside tables. Also there is a taxi rank at the end of the street - very handy for getting to where I needed to go. And it was about as far from the corporate feel of big chain hotels as you could get given the individual approach of the owners. The owner I met was very friendly and carried my case up for me and they were obliging in letting me come an hour earlier than the check-in time, because of the event I had to go to. Once I was there, it was peaceful and private, despite the lively street life below. The noise didn't stray into the small hours, so I slept well, without disturbance.
Well, I knew before I went, but I discovered I didn't feel that comfortable sharing a toilet and shower. Not that I ever saw the other guests I shared with.
