It was walking distance to shops/ restaurants. It had a pool. It had storage space. It had a kitchen. It had drinking water.
The pool was dirty, it felt expensive for what it was. It was rundown and could have done with updating/ good clean.

Extremely helpful staff, we showed up early in the morning and they prepared our beds for us early. We really did appreciate this after a long overnight bus. The pool is lovely and you feel very safe and secure in a city that can feel otherwise unsettling.

excellent ,friendly staff
The surrounding residential area can be noisy at night as you hear the bars and music

My favourite hostel I’ve been to in my travels in South America. The staff were super helpful and kind to me, Mae, Cotto, Verena, Seb, Rosio and Ítalo were all fantastic (not to mention their many volunteers). Everyone who worked there was great to have a chat with and went above and beyond with their service! The food served here was delicious, the amenities were clean, and the hostel doggo is the cutest. Highly recommend the walking tours they offer and the Yoga class with Verena!! A+ with the pool of course !! stayed here for over 2 weeks and loved every second of it ❤️
nothing bad to say :)

I love the friendly staff here, very memorable stay because of this. The pool was nice and the place was very comfortable.
Had a bit of an electrical shock when using the stove because I had no shoes on. Could use a sign to warn us. Some of the power points were also a bit loose.

no hot water. very small.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful with taxis and early breakfast when we had to leave early in the morning. Outdoor area is very nice to relax in and free water refills is useful. Neighbourhood felt safe, ATM nearby.
The bed was very poor quality and has led to bad back pain for a few days afterwards. We had the double room by the street and the windows rattled constantly through the night, as well as the quality of blinds and noise reduction being below par. The room felt a bit tired and needed some TLC, and the shower was also cold.

The pool is great and the staff super friendly! Great place for a short stay.
The shared rooms need renovation and they lack a proper place for working. Not recommended for digital nomads.

Really nice, chilled and clean hostel. Food is really good but all vegan / vegetarian options.

Excelent staff, facilities, the pool, location and it has parking for one car.
The fact that I paid above the average price for a hostel in Guayaquil and was told that it included breakfast at check in and was given nothing when I asked for it the next morning. Just juice. That's not breakfast.

Lovely common outdoor space with pool and hammocks.
Cold hostel feeling and cold staff, not great value for money.

Lovely and helpful personnel. Clean room with desk and chair. Additionally, they sell basic personal care products and also chocolate, ideal souvenir from Ecuador! I just love the idea to sell those items. Smart and convenient.
Room ventilation could be improved. I get that the local climate is a huge challenge and the protection for the environment is necessary, but some additional ventilation system would be just great.

Breakfast was free, so that was nice. They had also hammocks to chill in and a refreshing pool. The location was in a more luxurous neighbourhood, but not in the centre of guayaguil. However, they offer walking tours where they show you the highlights of the city with a lot of fun facts. And Nacho, the dog, is adorable.
The shower was cold. But yeah, the weather is realy warm so that doesn't matter that much.

Basic yet nice private room with ensuite, the staff were lovely, so helpful, friendly, welcoming and the pool was great too. Everything at the hostel was good, no complaints. The room was decent as was the price and the location was walking distance to the main road and a lot of food places. I preferred Maleacon side of town, but that's nothing to do with the hostel, just more so the area.
There was no atmosphere in the hostel as there were barely any other travellers there when I was there (I think maybe 2 or 3 other travellers at most that I passed), but this was expected with covid etc and I'm sure when there's more people there it would have a great vibe.

I truly think it is the best place to stay at when being in Guayaquil. I was before for one night in a hotel in the city center and it was loud, dirty and not relaxing. I changed to Nuncapacha and had the best 2 days I could have imagined. The food is excellent, as well as the staff and the owner. The pool is a big bonus, has a nice temperature and was bigger than I expected. The beds were comfortable, it was possible to have hot showers and everything was clean. It is not in the city center but I consider this a benefit. The city is very busy, loud and from my perspective not very welcoming. At Nuncapacha it felt like an oasis (no traffic noise at all). When you are interested to visit the city, they offer different walking tours or you take the bus or a taxi (only 5$). They also organized an early taxi to the airport for me, which was perfectly on time. Please support them by staying there!!! I loved it and when I will ever return to Guayaquil I will stay at Nuncapacha.
Nothing - I had a perfect stay there

very nice little place with excellent staff! grounds were well kept and the murals are beautiful. Caroline took excellent care of me and prepared a delicious lunch even after I checked out waiting on my ride.
The bed was hard for my liking and it was a little warm in my room but there was a supplied fan that kept it manageable.

The staff was really friendly and talkative. Bcs of the pandemic, the amount of people was a bit low.
But the staff did a really good job in making us feeling at home.
missing soap in the bathrooms

There was reasonably priced laundry.
There was no hot water, our room was so overpriced, stuffy, and there was a ton of noise at night and we couldn’t sleep. We felt generally uncomfortable there and not at all at home.
