The common area decor was lovely and so was the pool, the location is very convenient.
The staff were almost all unfriendly, with just 2 exceptions, a sweet young woman serving breakfast the day we left and a nice young man who served us breakfast the day before. Although Booking.com specified cards were accepted, they refused mine and then charged us an extra several dollars after we went out and got cash. So add dishonesty to the complaints.
I got a bed in the air-conditioned dorm and the ac unit was almost worthless. The least bit of physical effort, like getting dressed, and you were still drenched with sweat. I'm not sure our bathroom was cleaned the whole two days I was there because the waste basket was always overflowing in the toilet room.
The absolute worst, though, was the almost unusable internet. It was constantly going on and off and once stayed off for quite a while. It was so difficult to research things, sometimes you couldn't even text.
They lock the front gate when no one is at the front desk and that happens more often than you might expect. We came in from dinner one night around 9:15 pm and it took forever to get someone to come and let us in. The next morning, there were guests trying to get in and there is no bell to ring, so they could only yell Help.
As a full-time traveler for several years, I spend a lot of time in hostels in various countries and this is definitely the worst hostel experience I've had in all that time.

NOTHING
DO NOT BOOK HERE!
Without a doubt the worst stay we have ever experienced. We booked 1 week in advance and upon arrival we were told that they had messaged us on Booking.com that they had to cancel our reservation due to overbooking. Upon checking my messages, they had messaged to cancel less than 1 hour before our arrival at the front desk. This was unacceptable on its own. We insisted that this was not fair and that we demand the beds we had booked as there was no availability in the city due to the busy Easter weekend. When being notified of this, all the staff behind the front desk just shrugged their shoulders and smirked like it was no big deal. It took 2.5 hours of yelling and shouting for them to finally relent and give us beds in a female only dorm, we are 2 males. Young families were made to sleep outside on sofas and hammocks, and they even shipped people off half an hour out of the city and then attempted to charge them extra. We attempted to get a hold of the manager who has not responded. They had clearly overbooked for the whole weekend without telling any guests as new guests were arriving 3 days later having booked private rooms and to still be told that they would have to sleep in a hammock, ridiculous.
This was not the end of our troubles, our bathroom was not cleaned during our 3 night stay. The staff constantly sat around chatting and not doing anything, despite the filthy condition of the rooms and the swimming pool.
At checkout the staff refused to give us any compensation and eventually relented to give us $4 off which was completely insulting and once again they did not seem to care. I urge anyone thinking of booking here to find somewhere else as it was by far the worst experience of our 5 month trip.

Buena ubicación, cercana a la plaza y terminal de buses. Personal amable. Aire acondicionado OK.
Sin wifi en la habitación durante los 3 días de la estancia.

The pool was incredible and we had AC in our room. Booked a night tour through the hostel. Location was perfect, close to walk everywhere including bus stations but also calm.
Breakfast was good but everyday the same. Room was a bit small but still very nice.

- Great airconditioning in the room.
- At night it is silent. You don't hear cars, dog barking or whatsoever.
- They lock the gate at night which gives a safe feeling.
- Great location. Very close to the main square.
- We were shocked by the theft reviews, so we locked our luggage every time. I told them not to enter our room and they didn't.
Normally I don't complain. And I'm very easy going, but this hostel was aniother situation:
- Room is very small and bathroom even smaller. Showercurtain is thick so you have to choose between not seeing anything or having water running down the room.
- We arrived at 18.00 and had to wait until 19.30 for sheets. Meanwhile I asked 3 times and every time they said "5 minutes, 10 minutes". My gf was sick so she wanted to sleep. They knew she was sick.
- There were stains in the sheets. Sheets are not made of cotton, we didn't care. But some do :)
- Laundry is expensive, $10. When there was a miscommunication about the payment, I had to sit and watch camera footage like a criminal. Funny thing is, when you owe them money. Cameras suddenly work.
- They need to work with receipts to prevent miscommunications.
- Staff just don't care al all about anything. They just hang around(laying widely on the sofas) joking with each other in the lobby and don't act professional. Normally I wouldn't care, but they behave like teenagers on a summer job. It became quite annoying. They need a good supervisor who is older and more professional instead of teenagers goofing around.
- Don't drink the free water. It's just unhealthy tap water.

Don‘t go here! Choose any other place in town! There were 200$ stolen from our room and we are not the first one that this has happened to!

it was a bit quiet so not many other travellers but great facilities and the breakfast was tasty!

Bed was comfortable, there was a pool. Wifi was OK. They gave me free breakfast. The couches very comfortable.
Pool was dirty. The room is extremely hot and some fans are not working. In your room you really cannot use the plugs because of the beds. In the shower for the dorm the lights are not working. There is no place to put your towel which is very annoying. Staff is not nice at all. They offer this "happy hour" but never tell enough information about it. One day when I asked the receptionist only rudely said: its already over. Overall below average for me. I wouldnt recommend it.

The pool was nice and breakfast was good! Lots of comfy chairs and couches to chill on.
The staff was a bit rude, oftentimes I felt that I was annoying them by asking relevant questions. There were some friendly people working there, but my experience with the staff wasn’t the best.

I only stayed for one night (very few hours at that), but it seemed really nice. There was hot water! The dorm was massive.

the place was nice
I found some bedbugs in the bed that wouldn't let me sleep, they should try to fumigate, this is unsanitary

The community area is nice and the pool beautiful
Unfortunatly the internet is very bad and the lockers is the worst I ever had in any hostel: many are missing the second hole so u cannot lock it, if u are unlucky and come late u will have one that is not possible to lock! the one I used also always was falling down 2 cm when opening so u could not lock it when putting it back in and I had to play around several times a few minutes that it doesnt fall down this 2cm and that I could lock it, this makes a lot of noise, the ventilators cable is to short to connect it to the electricity, luckily I had a 3m cable extension Im traveling with but probably not everybody has this. And also the pillows are very flat and not comfy!

Really lovely space to relax. You get free rum cocktails between 3pm and 5pm (you can actually taste the alcohol). The breakfast which is included is great and filling with juice and coffee too. It's really good value for money. The common areas are also kept clean.
The pool was always murky and looked like it needed a clean. Some of the staff were more friendly than others. A lot of the time we felt like we were bothering them if we wanted to ask a question and especially when asking about the happy hour when it says on the boards to come and ask them.

Great location, atmosphere and a good deal. Breakfast was yummy and fast. Easy walk to everywhere. Secure parking around the corner for 100 Cordobas a day.
Our bathroom always had an inch of water around the toilet because the shower leaked. So you had to walk in water to go to use the toilet.

It was a good location in the city.
I lost an item when at this hostel, I tried to contact them several times and nobody responded. The shower is tiny, if you’re any larger than a size XS you’ll barely fit in. The breakfast doesn’t start as early as indicated, so if you’re looking to leave early you’ll be hungry.

The place was cosy and with good vibes. Iiked the pool and the social area around it. The breakfast was good, although nothing extraordinary, and I liked the free happy hour drinks.

If I could, I would've stayed longer. The first warm shower I've had in weeks. The pool is beautiful and the surrounding area was perfect for working/reading/chilling. The hostel was quiet, more of a hotel vibe but it was perfect for me as I also needed to work. But maybe if there had been more people it'd been more social, but I just went to the other hostels when I wanted to go out. Regardless, it was all perfect for me.
If you want to party, this isn't the place. Although this was a plus for me, some people might not like it.
