Well-maintained Victorian Home in the center of Rock Hall.
The recently renovated Apartment on first floor of this historical home offers a unique and comfortable experience. Spacious and like-new open living room. Nice eat-in kitchen.
The bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed. A living room pull-out queen sofa accommodates 2 more people. Maximum number of guests is 4 people. 1 and 1/2 baths. Easy exit out front door or rear door. Shared the comfy and wide front porch overlooking Main Street.
All linens are supplied. Kitchen is well outfitted. WiFi internet and cable are included.
The prime location of this first floor Apartment allows you to walk to shops and restaurants in town. The Chesapeake Bay, Rock Hall Beach, and the harbor are also within walking distance. Great boating and water activities are all close by.
Historic Chestertown is just a 20 minute drive. Sit on the huge wrap-around porch and watch all the activities on Main Street or bike through town to Eastern Neck Island Refuge. Boaters, hunters, fishermen, birdwatchers, families and friends and more are welcome!

The apartment was spacious and clean and even better than the photos. Both Mary and Patty responded quickly to questions and were very helpful. The location is perfect and the front porch is certainly an added bonus. We will most certainly be back!!

The down stairs of this house was available to me: a living room with pull out couch, large bedroom, full kitchen and 1.5 baths. I was there for the Rock Hall Triathlon weekend. Being able to prepare my own food was a real benefit. It was very comfortable and convenient.

First time visitors to Rock Hall, and we found this home a perfect location to enjoy our long weekend. By chance, we met the owners, who were very welcoming, and also "Patty," our contact who went out of her way to make sure we knew where everything was, where to find the best food, and where to catch the best music. The "homey" house had everything we needed and was very comfortable! We would definitely stay here again!

We spent the weekend in Rock Hall for the triathlon, and this apartment was perfect for us. Our favorite spot was the front porch, where we enjoyed most of our spare time. We have stayed at many different vacation rental properties in Rock Hall over the years, and we would love to stay at the “Mermaid” again.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay. The location provides walking access to the shops in Rock Hall and a few minute drive to the restaurants and beaches. The apartment is lovely. Large, comfortable, quiet - perfect!

This beautiful home is in a perfect location right in the middle of Rock Hall - cute “Downtown” area within walking distance to everything. We stayed in the downstairs apartment which was perfect for a week away. I worked remotely while my husband fished, visited local beaches and generally relaxed during his vacation. Nicely appointed kitchen, good sized bath, bed room and living room. We ate crabs from Fords in the lovely porch. Patty was really helpful ( property mgr). We will be back!

We had an overall good experience here. Great location...walk to anywhere. Coffee shop right across the street (Java Rock) & a very good restaurant (The Pearl on Main) 1/2 block away.....Our one main complaint was the bed! OMG it came over on the Mayflower...hard as rock and squeaked at the slightest move...My wife and I could not wait to get home to our "home bed"....It would be hard to believe we were the only ones to complain...it was that bad

I love this house. I have returned to this property multiple times, sometimes in the larger upstairs unit, and now the smaller lower unit. Each time has been delightful. This property has recently changed owners, but they have fortunately retained the same property manager, Patty. Everything has always been clean, and check in and check out have always been easy. The location is perfect for accessibility- a mere block from the center of town. This allows an easy walk to restaurants, or the grocery store if you want to use the grill(tools and gas provided) and kitchen. Be sure to check out the new farmers market right across the street if so. Rock Hall is a great town for a weekend break, and this is a great place to make your base.

Should we want to stay in Rock Hall again we would consider this establishment first. Very comfortable bed, and upholstered furniture. A curious layout but perfectly good for a temporary stay. If there was a question mark it would be about the amount of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils provided, but what there was was adequate. The appliances were very good. It is ideally situated for local shopping and the town centre but was none the less quiet at night, even with other visitors staying in the upstairs apartment. We have no complaints and only compliments to offer.

Great Place in a Great town

Rock Hall, Maryland is a wonderful summer resort town on the eastern shore of the the Chesapeake Bay. The "Victorian on Main Street" , is a great place. Large well furnished rooms. Extremely comfortable, and right in the center of town. You can walk to many of the shops and restaurants in town. Mary and Sebastian, the owners, and Patty their representative in town, were extremely helpful and very responsive to our questions and concerns. I highly recommend the property. I would stay there again on my next trip to Rock Hall.
