I recommend this as a top choice for Livingstone, Zambia. Our tour provider says its the best hotel

Alan was amazing with his hospitality!!! I felt like a VIP. The hotel upgraded my room. I thought that was very exciting. He walked us to the suite and showed us how everything works. He also made arrangements for us to get to the airport. He was dressed impeccably, and all the staff friendly and highly professionally. It's not what i expect from a 3rd world country. Definitely worth the few extra dollars. Paid $110 a night.

I sure hope and pray that the drought gets over soon. It causes power outages in some places. Luckily New Fairmont has a generator.

Good value hotel with very attentive staff, recommend.

Superb staff made this a great stay. Communication prior to arrival was excellent and we felt that the staff really cared about making our stay enjoyable. The Indian food in the restaurant was fantastic, the pool is large and clean. Good location in central Livingstone, with shops and restaurants nearby. Good base to visit the Zambian side of the falls.

The staff was very friendly, excellent facilities. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The food was very nice and tasty.

I like the service rendering by the staff from the reception, in the restaurant and their room service is very exceptional.

Value stay but needs some improvement

Staff from collection at airport to hotel reception were great. They offered us an upgrade to bigger room.

We understand this hotel is over 100yrs old but the electrics in the rooms were bad, we had to hold the plug to the socket to make it work. The shower head was full of limescale, so in order to shower we had to remove head. Food service/waiting time was over an hour for some wraps... would not recommend eating there as we saw people who came after us get served 1st... then when we looked...they knew the chef... please treat all customers the same.

Excellent! Will recommend to friends and family

The food was lovely. The Chef and team were exceptionally nice and friendly. The team went out of their way to customize our menu to meet our request. The staff was welcoming and impressive, especially Faith who made us feel so welcome.

It's an old-fashioned hotel and needs upgrading but the staff are on hand to assist at all times. That compensates for the shortfalls.

The reception team were kind and welcoming, there was a guy with a French name, I have forgotten his name but I remember he told me it is French name, very good with customer service, kudos to him, he did see that I was not happy with the hotel but he tried what he could to make me feel comfortable, they say a smile goes a long way. Keep it up young man

It was nothing like what is advertised in photos, it was just not giving, from the building outside and much more shocking when you arrive at the reception, I was disappointed but okay for 2 nights stay. The beds were very uncomforable, I felt like I was sleeping on the floor. My "executive" room had 2 single beds which I was promised they would be joined to one but until my departure that was not done.

Loved the place, the people was warmly

The room was very nice, I loved the lights in the room, the shower was amazing. A very good housekeeping, always cleaned the room and made it cool! The dinner was diversified and tasty, with a very good team!

I didn't like the fact that the breakfast was not included in the room which was a disapointment for me, especially when many other hotels at the same price could offer the breakfast included. The pool was not always clean though!

Great stay

Location, very convenient in terms of access to transport and walk to all amenities. The hotel getting a major face-lift & freshly painted. Booked double room & got free upgrade. Loved being greeted by my name just as I walked in the hotel before checkin, before even produced my ID. A sparkling swimming pool, which unfortunately I didn't use due to my tight program. Also loved room ambience

The hospitality of the people working at the hotel from reception to the restaurant stuff. We felt very welcomed here.

Too many internet routers that disconnects the internet as one moves & never returns automatically when one goes back to the hotel or the area. It is time consuming to always connect using those slips we get. IT should improve this in order for the hotel to get 10/10 reviews. Visitors from abroad rely on good internet to connect to their loved ones back home.

I had a wonderful experience at the NFHC. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the clean

Perfect central location in town. Close to all major banks, Spar and ShopRite supermarkets. Excellent complimentary shuttle service. Have the best night club in Livingstone at the other end of the hotel with great soundproofing. Easy to book activities from the hotel at negotiable rates. The major stand out is their staff. Sindi was amazing to us from the time she came with the shuttle to pick us up at the Zim border to the time of departure.

The food is very EXPENSIVE!! It’s not worth it. A few roads from the hotel, better and tasty food costs less than half the price of food at NFHC. Had a New Year’s Eve dinner at the hotel and we felt robbed…the cost didn’t justify what was served!

My stay at Fairmount

Loved the location.It is very close to the town center and also not so far away from the main attraction(Victoria falls).

The room was so spacious which was good,but the cleanliness was not upto standard.I didn't like the fact that the toilet was rusty the pan had stains,was not well cleaned.The shower needs a revamp.It looked abit slimey and not well polished.The shower didn't have pressure at all,took a while to finish my shower. Breakfast is over priced.If its a buffet i expect to get my own food not a waiter pilling food on my plate.

the toilet is made for people who are 1meter tall, plus water in the toilet kept on running (without me noticing), flooding my bedroom. reservation on booking.com said 11 am checkout time whereas at the property they communicated 10am

Clean and comfortable room, swimming pool, courtyard with a fountain, flowers, green spaces.Its centrally located and has markets and restaurants at walkable distance. Front desk staff and all support staff was very helpful. Shuttle to the airport Breakfast is sufficient. Service us on good level. Internet is weak but this is a problem everywhere in all Africa

Great place for the price for us to have a home base for a couple days.

The staff were super helpful and always willing to accommodate and help us find our way. Rooms were fairly clean. Food was great and again staff made accommodations for vegan.

Lighting in the rooms had some issues, some switches didn’t do anything until we had a power outage and they came on in the middle of the night.

Amazing staff and manager in reception, where especially Hilda made an extraordinary service for us with 10/10 and the managers upgrade of our room to “the Lions suite”. Wonderful hot water in the shower. Excellent roomcleaning and service in the restaurant. Marvelous Night Club facilities and DJ-music. Perfect city center location and airport pickup service. Lovely quiet enviroment in the garden.

I liked the staff that tried to make up for the inconveniences and inconsistencies of what the hotel presented. We stayed another night only because of the staff's treatment towards us

The DSTV only had one channel working. When we requested to pay; we were told of a machine that only makes payment in Zambian Kwatcha and that we need to pay in that currency and when we suggested to use Booking.com again; we were told that if it doesn't reflect immediately then the cleaning staff will not clean our rooms cause we were rushing out before making payment
