B & B is an excellent place to stay for a reasonable price. It's super clean, comfy, and ideal for short or long stays. If you are looking to see the Iles du Saloum, I recommend B& B. The staff are super nice: shoutout to Bintou and Moussa.
I wish the bathroom had hangers for towels; maybe they will be added soon since it looks like the room I stayed in got renovated recently.

We had a wonderful stay. The room and the place is very clean. The swimming pool is well kept, and the breakfast is yummy. The hosts are kind and helpful. I would be happy to go back.

lovely hosts , good atmosphere , nice rooms , good breakfast , welcome drinks
the shower wasn’t great - really low water pressure

the rooms are individual bungalows each with a garden view and terrace which is really nice. the rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable and equipped with mosquito nets. the pool area is also clean and well kept.
the food portions served within the dinner menu are very small and there are no vegetarian options. if you are unfamiliar with the area, the hotel is a bit hard to find. also card payments are not accepted and there are no ATMs around.

We enjoyed our stay here and had very comfy and clean rooms, which is at times difficult to find in Senegal within this price range. Breakfast is good and offering more options than usual. Very friendly owners.

Walking distance to and from the river and the main road, nice clean rooms and pool area. The owners and staff were very helpful and friendly.
It wasn't allowed to bring food or drinks from outside, not only in the restaurant area but overall. Luckily the prices weren't too high at the guesthouse but I still found this odd.

In line with the European standard level of cleaning and breakfast which is not so easy to find in Senegal.
The Owner was very impolite to us and charged us 15.000 XOF extra because we asked for a camping bed for our driver in our room. the fact is that we called 3 times the hotel for informing and they said “no problem”, when we arrived in the night they gave to the driver a single room saying “no problem” explaining us that “in Senegal drivers and guides are not paying the rooms” and in the morning she yelled to us very impolitely that the room was to pay and affirming that we never called her. Good trap for cheating tourists. and very impolite.

The rooms were clean as always, the pool is great. Nice hot water in the shower, but the air conditioning needs to be upgraded, the room eventually got cool, but only after ~4 hours
When the power went off (common in Toubacouta) the manager did not turn on the generator so we sat in our very hot rooms for a couple of hours util, fortunately, the power came back (it can be off for days in Toubacouta). When we asked why the generator wasn't on, we were told the person with the key had gone to Gambia! This is not appropriate when a generator is available and we're paying for air conditioning. Also, we asked for meals at certain times (dinner at 19:30 & breakfast at 7:00) and gave more than 6 hours of advance notice, yet they are still served up to an hour late, which was difficult for our work schedule. There were few other guests and the meal times we requested were within the hours of service, so this should not have been difficult.

The owners and the staff were very, very friendly - especially the hotel manager made very great excursions with us and took care of us in a friendly way. The rooms had everything you need and were very nice. So was the facility in general. The food was also very good, we had breakfast and dinner, at noon you could still order snacks.
Those who absolutely need Internet to work or something may have to be prepared for outages. There was no electricity on two days until the afternoon, for us it was no problem.

Local people working there
Never felt welcomed here; the only care of the west european owners is the money you have to pay . The room is really basic rather old, hot water is missing .
The breakfast is very basic and the lunch and dinner they offer is very expensive . The funny thing is that they even recommend you eat somewhere else like there would be so many options in the village.
Disappointed by the time spent there. Very low value for money.
Not recommended.

We like the friendly hosts, the wonderfull pool and the nice meals. The host was explaining all kind of things what was growing there. We really liked that.
The environment is nice, but its a bit far from everything, especially if you are not able to walk far. There are no facilities for taxi or so. also the bathroom was in need of new things. The toilet seat was broken, the shower wasn't working good, that needs attention.

I had a very nice stay at this place. Everyone was so helpful, when I had a problem with my stomach Jenine gave me some medicine, which helped a lot. Youssoupha was also very helpful, he organised my boat trip and also visit of Fathala Wildlife Reserve. The staff who works there is also super nice. When I was leaving, Youssoupha dropped me to the borders and helped me to find the taxi in Gambia. Many thanks for everything :)

Mariamacunda is a very cosy place with charming owners and very helpful staff. The room was spacious with comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with basic cosmetics. I like the swiming pool - it's not big but I was great to jump into water after hot day. Mariamcunda's restaurant offers good selection of beer and wine.
Water pressure in the shower was a challenge. Anyway we managed :)
