Excelente lugar!

Situated right on the Quilotoa loop trail (a bit out of town) with a lovely view of the canyon. Apparently - it was completely cloud covered for our visit! Victor was a very kind host, lovely wood burning stove in the middle of the common area by some sofas. Hot water.
4.5
Easy Check in and super friendly host. Great diner, where Victor met our needs as we are fructose intolerance. Bed was comfy, shower was good. Great location final stage of the Quilotoa Loop starts at the hostel. Breakfast was amazing, especially tghe cheese sandwich was insanely good. Got three of them on the Trek. Sauna for 3 USD is also available. Highly recomand to stay.
Could not be better.

Le personnel est adorable.
La chambre est très propre et spacieuse

Wonderful hostel, with great location, and a very friendly host. The path to Quilotoa starts from their backyard, they also tell you details about the trails. Highly recommended.
Nothing, all was great

Very friendly host, nice breakfast and cheap lunch box. The place is simple but clean and well kept. They also have alpacas in the garden.
Shower was freezing cold, which isn’t great after you have finished a long hike!

Beautiful. Rooms were nice. Steam and sauna. How attentive staff was. Really really nice.
Nothing i can think of

Great wifi and facilities, comfortable bed, staff were welcoming and friendly

The owner was super lovely. The food was delicious. The room was clean and affordable.

Everything is fantastic. Set in a beautiful garden with on site alpacas this is one of my favourite places I have stayed. Hammocks to relax in, excellent rooms with spotless bathrooms and lovely owners make this a 10/10.
I had to extend for a relax day during the Quilatoa trail as it's so nice.
Lovely meals too

Nice family run stay. The facilities are great, we loved the cosy dining room and steam room and sauna for just $3usd. Dinner was delicious and not too big, we enjoyed talking with other people on our table (but other tables seemed to eat in silence which we found odd haha). The room was very comfy, if a little dark. The accom is right on the Quilotoa Loop track meaning that if you are heading to Quilotoa in the morning you already have a nice head start.
The wifi did not work - not an issue as it was only one night and we just read our books.

Very confortable, good quality-price and amazing people !

Amazing hospitality, stunning views, clean room, good food included. Victor was accommodating and helpful. Awesome simple outdoor gym. Lots of well maintained indoor and outdoor common areas to relax.
Pool isn’t filled now, so sauna and “Turkish bath” aka steam room were a little overpriced compared to other local options.

The views are amazing and it felt like I was staying with relatives in Ecuador, not a hostel. Victor the owner is such a sweet guy and super helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Oh and the breakfast was the best one I've had in Ecuador. Would definitely stay again

Flexible bookings and generous cancellation policy as our travel plans changed while hiking the Quilotoa loop!
4.5
Nice view, cozy common area, cozy beds
The food portions were too small and not nutritious enough if you're hiking, but the food was good. The internet was too weak, except really early in the morning.
4.5
Great dinner (three course, if you count the small dessert!) and breakfast, beautiful location with stunning views over the canyon, and the nicest hosts on the whole Quilotoa loop! Absolutely recommend this place! For a small fee they also offer a wonderful turkish steam bath with fresh eucalyptus and herbs from the area, which is super nice after the strenuous hike.

very nice host, good food, great view, very good value for the price
would come back!
a lot of space in the cabaña.
the shower was a bit difficult to manage (too hot or too cold).

The man running the place was great, set up the sauna and steam room for us, was happy and chatty the whole time. Room was nice and cosy with lots of blankets.
4.5
Location (far from the main road and really next to the trek path), the room was comfy, dinner and breakfast nice, the Turkish baths and the sauna are good for the muscles after the hike, the owners are adorable.
A bit cold in the bedroom

Very friendly staff. Good dinner and breakfast, as well as bagged lunch, and very nice lounge area. Large comfortable room with private bathroom and lots of blankets. Good view (when it's not cloudy). Staff were super helpful and friendly. Right on the loop. Would definitely recommend!

We arrived at dusk so weren’t able to fully appreciate the environment. when i woke the next morning and saw the view from our window, I literally wept.
Our room was large and comfortable. The breakfast and dinner were yummy and ample.
The staff went above and beyond. so very kind and welcoming
We liked El Vaquero so much, we stayed an extra night.
If you can, go on a horse outing with local farmer, Umberto Ortega. An extensive tour with a kind man. Definitely one of the top three experiences during our two months in Ecuador.
That we have to leave.

We had a great stay here after our hike from Quilotoa. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Food was good. The rooms were clean and a comfortable bed, nice hot shower. Overall great value for money. Definitely do the Turkish sauna, the smell of eucalyptus and the heat was so relaxing! Also, the extra signs along the hiking path they put there in their name were great. Usually indicating shortcuts. So follow them!
