Don't overthink it - just do it and the rewards will follow -
Boat - well cared for
Marina - very well appointed
Hotel - fantastic - Stuttle helped make it easier to get to town
You are off the beaten path of the craziness of Duval which is both nice and frustrating depending on your vision for the time there -
RECOMMEND the boat out for the over night worth every penny!

It was our first stay on a yatch and we planned it for my daughter’s birthday. It was an amazing experience altogether with the yatch stay. We had 3 kids (10,9&6) and along with us, they also had a blast on the yatch.
Special mentioning of Sue (property owner) and her communication promptness. We didn’t have to do any follow ups on anything. As per the agreed arrangements, everything was in place and was provided on time.
We opted for the 2-hour excursion and post that my daughter said, “it was one of the best 2-hours of my life so far”. Captain Daniel and Branzco were more than excellent in providing all the info and a smooth sailing. Not to forget that Dan has good photography skills too.
Overall, it was a great experience and we are surely looking forwaed to rebook the yatch.

The idea of a week on a sailboat as a family really appealed to us. The ad for this catamaran stay looked great and the available excursions looked fun. The reality is that this boat is no where near as spacious as the ad appears. For people who have had sailboat experience, perhaps the reality would be less jarring. For those who have had no sailboat experience, prepare yourself, especially if you have 6 or more people. The ad claims to sleep 11, but the only way 11 people are staying on this boat is if several people are sleeping outside on the decks. There are four cabins but it would be tough to sleep more than 6 people comfortably. PLEASE pack lightly because your storage space and ability to maneuver in the cabins is very limited. The bathrooms are extremely small and they smell terrible. You will need to keep the bathroom doors closed at all times to try to control the odor throughout the catamaran. I saw on other reviews that many people showered at the marina. I personally did shower on the boat. The water got nice and hot but the small space and horrendous smell certainly did not make it an enjoyable experience. The beds were super soft and comfortable and the AC did work well….we were never hot or uncomfortable.
Overall we had fun, but if we had it to do over we would stay elsewhere and purchase a sailboat day excursion. The small spaces and bad odor, at the price we paid were just deal breakers. For the money there are just better options.

Six high school buddies (from many years ago) did a boys fishing & eating/drinking trip to Key West. Best decision we made was staying aboard this boat. Boat was super spacious with great entertaining space and lots of beds and baths. The marina/hotel is top notch and you have access to if all. They arranged a sunset cruise with Captains Justin and Thomas who were just outstanding - excellent piloting the boat with super fun personalities and focus on our safety and satisfaction. They also arranged for a private chef to cook our catch. Chef Brian Roberts was just terrific - he cooked at least a half dozen wonderful dishes throughout cruise and just was a great entertainer. The sunset cruise was the highlight our 4 days in Key West. (Our only mistske was telling our wives in vivid detail how great everything was and now they want come on our boys trip next year…ugh…😊😊). All kidding aside just a fabulous experience. All six of us Highly recommend!

Our college girls had an amazing time staying on the boat, hanging at The Perry Hotel pool, and bar hopping. Great break from UMich weather. Highly recommend.

For the amount charged, our party of six did not think the accommodations were appropriate. All four showers leaked heavily during the rainy day we had on Sunday and the toilets kept backing up and were emitting an unpleasant odor. My husband and I were given 1 wash cloth and 2 towels for a 4 night stay. The showers on board were a pain to use so we walked a block to use public showers onsite. The onsite showers were clean and maintained by the Perry Hotel. The beds were comfortable sleeping but my sheets were wet on the corner the first night on board. JB, who checked our group in was great and handled all the issues we had that he could,ie getting more towels and wash cloths. We ran out of gas for cooking and JB came right away and switched the tanks. I consider our stay 1 step above camping in a small camper.

This trip was exceptional and everyone we worked with on the rental team was so helpful. I have to give a special call out to JB that even after we checked out, helped us find ground transportation back to the airport. He is a rockstar! I would be remiss if I didn’t also call our captain, Dan Haddad, and his first mate Mary for showing us a beautiful afternoon and sunset.

Great accommodations for daughters birthday weekend. The yacht was awesome and our four teenagers loved the freedom of having their own rooms and sleeping on the boat. The checkin was a breeze with our host going over all the details. We took the yacht out on a 8hour charter with Captain Brian and first mate Konrad. Super nice guys who truly made it a special day for all off us. They were professional yet fun. They accomodated our requests to snorkel and fish and took us to great spots. I would highly recommend this unique option for a stay. It is definitely a great concept to stay on the yacht and something we would do again with this company.

We left Texas already super excited about our "Yacht" vacation. Little did we know it would surpass our expectations. BellaMaggio was the perfect way to go. You won't regret booking this yacht. It's clean, sturdy, and very comfortable. Plenty of space for relaxing or having fun. Definitely would stay again.
We started out working with Tim, who guided us through the set up process and set us up with Captain John. What a blessing. Couldn't have managed without his help.
Next was JB (cool hair cut). The check in process was effortless. He was very knowledgeable and attentive, checking up on us all along the way.
Captain John and First Mate Pam made the experience unforgettable. They were not only professional but approachable, open, informative and fun.
We made such awesome memories.

I wanted a different experience for my hard working mortgage team so I booked The Bella Magio verses a hotel wow what a treat it was! A four bedroom, 4 bath yatch unbelievable! Great people to work with Captain Josh and Mate Devon honestly were the Best! The boat was nice and clean and just the right size for our group of 7, my only complaint is the a/c didn’t work very good! He took us out on a sunset cruise absolutely amazing we had an experience of a lifetime getting a show from the dolphins right next to us! We cooked on the boat some of the best sea food ever and Captain Josh even helped cook some fish we caught earlier that day out at sea! The 2 nights out on the water so private and just some wholesome fun living. I would recommend this boat and especially this crew to anyone a lifetime experience if you love the water and boats!

Awesome experience! JB checked us in and let us know we could contact him anytime for anything (which we didn’t need to because everything was perfect) Justin/Aaron was our Captain/Mate and they were great. Gave us options to explore the Keys and were very knowledgeable about all things Key West! We had a blast!!

Bella Maggio
This was a fun experience however it was definitely a little tight for 8 people. It is advertised as "Sleeps 11". We had myself and my husband plus 2) 21 year olds, 2) 19 year olds and 2) 17 year old boys. 7 of those 8 people were all over 6' tall including a 6'-6", 6'-4" and 6'3". There are 4 beds but 2 of the 4 have clipped corners and the 5th sleeping area is the size of a canoe. I don't really know where 3 more people could sleep. A blow up bed was provided but I don't know where you would put it. The oven was missing a knob and both dials were missing all information so didn't really know what they were for. There was a rusted, hanging and disconnected outlet in one of the bathrooms that was definitely an electrical hazard. We had some seepage on the floor in one of the bedrooms. We may have had bed bugs in one of the rooms as my son woke up with about 100 bites on his arms on the 2nd night (they were not no seeum bites). They provided replacement linens but left the old ones in a pile on the dock for 48 hours. I would recommend bringing laundry pods or detergent, I spent 2 hours looking, can't really use one towel for 6 nights, there's nowhere to hang them to dry, kind of gross after showering at a Marina every day. Only being able to shower at the Marina is not something I expected and wasn't made aware of it and not flushing toilet paper until 2 months after booking and at that point we couldn't cancel. We received a 26 page document a couple days before Christmas and were told it couldn't get sent until we had picked a Captain for our 4 day excursion. I didn't receive the Captain list until Dec 11th and didn't know the 26 page document was contingent on the choice of a Captain. We aren't boaters so providing more details upfront would have been life changing. Honestly had I known about not flushing toilet paper and not showering on the boat we would've booked hotel rooms at The Perry...too much stress for 8 people, mostly teenagers, and vacation. This group of travelers really rolled with it but not sure everyone else would.

A Unique Fun Experience
Staying on Bella Maggio was a true memory maker!
A few suggestions…
*Have the waste water tanks emptied before each new reservation
*Kleenex & liquid hand soap in each bathroom
*Written notebook explaining how the stove, oven…work; where items can be found (air mattress, additional paper towel rolls…)

The BEST place to stay on Stock Island
My husband and I were celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary. We wanted to stay in the States during this time so we picked the Key West area. WOW is what we have to say.... We absolutely LOVED staying on the beautiful Bella Maggio. We spent 3 days and 2 nights on board. Being just the two of us, we had more than enough room to ourselves. Extremely clean vessel with a well stocked kitchen for cooking. However, we had all of our food catered so we did not have to work. The full day excursion consisted of sailing, snorkeling, swimming, viewing Key west and just enjoying our time together on the net over the water. Also, having the Stock Island Marina amenities were great. The swimming pools and bar/restaurants were an awesome way to end our nights. Our captain Zach was a delight and insightful about the boat, sailing and all around the water navigation. We really enjoyed him and his first mate Eliza. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend working with the crew of the Bella Maggio and other boats. Tim, the owner, was just a call away if we needed anything. The process of renting the boat, checking in, time there and checking out were smooth and stress free. We will definitely we back! Thank you Tim, Josh, Zach, Eliza and everyone else apart of the team who made our trip amazing!

The BellaMaggio Experience exceeded expectations!
From the moment I booked this beautiful catamaran, the experience with Tim was excellent. Communications were quick and very information and he helped guide us to a personal chef and captain for our stay, both of which were incredible and fit perfectly with our group. My family of friends (7) could not have experienced anything better for our celebration. Josh checked us in providing all the information we would need to make our stay safe and unforgettable. Captain Sasha was young and personable, but truly experienced and handled the 48’ Cat with ease. And who could forget Chef Jennifer (Small Chef at Large). All of our meals were nothing but pure deliciousness!!!! Her special touches and personality were off the chain and just added to the fun!!
Our last night we chose the Sunset Cruise and just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, the sun set in the west with an abundance of colors and a full moon rose in the east….it was simply a beautiful site and the light winds were fitting for the sail back. The memories made here are nothing short of GRAND!!! We will definitely be back! Thank you Tim for the experience of a lifetime!!

We would definitely do this again. The boat was far more relaxing than staying in a hotel.
Glamping on the water is how I would describe our stay. Beautiful scenery with easy access to pools, bars and shuttle to downtown. Tim, our host, checked on us daily by text. He was quick to answer any questions or concerns we had. Check in was easy with Anna who gave us the run down of the boat. We are already talking about planning our next trip.

Amazing Vacation
This was such a fun and unique vacation for our family. The kids (16,13,10) enjoyed staying the week on the boat and all of the trips sailing. We saw tons of dolphins and sea turtles. The marina restaurants, pools, and facilities were perfect. There is a shuttle into Key West from the hotel. The best part was just hanging out on the boat and relaxing. We truly had the perfect adventure! I would highly recommend this!

Amazing Boating Life Experience
We couldn’t have dreamed of better memories to make it our annual family vacation. Tim & his team were professional, responsive and easy to work with.
We had 4 adults and 4 kids that emailed the whole time. The boat was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. We felt so safe with our experienced and seasoned captain—Vanessa. She took us out everyday on the boat and was a
wealth of information since she has sailed all over the world for decades.
This was a unique experience that we will never forget. Book it!

Fabulous yacht experience
For my 50th birthday, I wanted to sail with my friends and family. I selected the Bella Maggio to accommodate a large group of 10. Upon arrival, Randy was available to help us get settled and was a delight to work with. We opted for a three-day sail to the Dry Tortugas and met with Capt. Zach and Elijah (chef/mate) on morning two. They were professional, knowledgeable, and made our excursion memorable. The sail and destination way exceeded our expectations. The crew worked extra hard to accommodate our large group by preparing amazing food, and attending to our every need. The scenery and experience at Ft. Jefferson was out of this world. Upon return, we spent the next few days at the marina relaxing and taking advantage of the pool and other amenities. The Key West area was just a short shuttle ride away, and there are several fantastic restaurants at the marina and in the surrounding area. In all, the Bella Maggio provided an epic vacation experience for our large group. Do not hesitate to book this memorable vacation experience.

We had a very good stay! There were 8 of us! The only issue we had was the first night, the black tanks were full and the front right bathroom was very smelly and unusable. The fleet manager attempted to fix it but didn’t. Our excursion captain, Vanessa “Skippy”, is actually the one who fixed the problem and dumped the tanks for us. After that, we had no issues with the bathrooms at all. We had a couple leaks around windows and hatches during a storm, but nothing that would cause us to be aggravated. It did not affect any of our belongings.
We cooked on the boat and we had plenty of kitchenware. We even cooked hotdogs on the grill during our excursion! The beds were comfortable and there’s plenty of seating and places to have privacy if you need it.
Our excursion was FANTASTIC! Vanessa “Skippy” and Judi are just The BEST! We snorkeled and they put our safety first in everything we did in and on the water. The reef was A-mazing and beautiful! We fed the yellowtail, swam with the fish, and even came face to face with a couple barracuda! Beautiful place underneath the sea!
We had a front coming in, and we had to cut the excursion short. She docked us fast and just in time before the bottom fell out! I highly recommend these captains if you’re planning an excursion! You cannot help but fall in love with them! We sure did!
The marina was very nice. It has nice showers, a bar, sundry room, and an accessible pool! It’s close to Key West and it’s easy to get in and out of the marina! Everyone was super nice and we never felt unsafe. In fact, we left our things on an unlocked boat while we saw the sites. We really enjoyed our time there!

Dream Vacation!
If you are looking for something different to do in Key West, this is IT! I recently charted the Bella Maggio for a 40th birthday celebration. 8 women, plenty of room and all the amenities. The boat was clean, easy to locate items and most important comfortable. Kathy and Tim were awesome to work with. They answered all my questions and accommodated our needs. We also purchased the 24 hour cruise package. This was incredible! From snorkeling to dolphin sightings.
Captain Randy was OUTSTANDING! He picked up our charter only a few days prior and worked his butt off to accommodate. The things he can do on a small grill and kitchen, WOW Sea had Kevin was very helpful and made the trip that much more fun.
The hotel is in walking distance with free shuttles to areas on Key West, great pool and fantastic restaurant.
The marina was multiple bathrooms and restrooms. It was always clean!
I couldn't ask for a better trip. It was Key West with a twist.
Totally worth it!

Very special place, high quality and affordable!
This was my big splurge vacation to celebrate my retirement from teaching! I needed to find a warm place to escape our Minnesota winter, where my family of 8 could stay that was as far south as we could go while still in the country. I was delighted to find this property in Key West, but was a little apprehensive having never stayed on a boat before. Well, we all agreed that it was a perfect choice and that we would absolutely do it again, as well as recommend it to others, no doubt about it! We had a wonderful time. Simply being on the boat made the entire 5 days a memorable, fun and unique experience. The boat was comfortable and had everything we needed (other than groceries and suntan lotion) aboard. Having access to the marina and hotel amenities, which included larger showers, laundry, an outdoor sports bar, fire pit and pool, was very nice...especially for watching the big football game Sunday night! Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful. My favorite event was when we took the boat out for a half-day excursion with our skipper Vanessa. I sat on the front of the boat and felt like I was flying! The family did some snorkeling, saw colorful fish, corral reef and sea turtles, and had a blast... and we viewed a gorgeous sunset on the water. For a bunch of land dwelling Minnesotans, this was truly an experience of a lifetime!

Great experience!
Really enjoyed staying aboard this catamaran! Beautiful vessel in a well kept marina with restaurants, pool and free shuttle service downtown. Skippy did an awesome job taking us out for a day trip to snorkel and relax. Rooms were clean and comfortable and our party of 10 had plenty of space to maneuver about. Highly recommend!!!
