Comfortable room, good breakfast, good location.
The mattress was too soft.

The experience was not worth the money. Breakfast was subpar, and the wine served from 4 to 6 PM was quite poor. There was no staff available to assist, and the place resembled a rental rather than a proper hotel.

We had a lovely stay at this picturesque inn. Perfectly situated near the Cliff Walk and full of hip and loving accents, this place is a gem. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We will be back!

The breakfast was good and each day it was slightly different. There was a wine hour late in the afternoon with a good wine selection and accompanying snacks.

A beautiful property in a great location. Breakfast was a lovely selection of small plates, with delicious sweet and savoury home-made choices. We stayed in The Loft room which was perfect for January, very cosy with a remote-controlled gas fire and an amazing bathroom. If I stay again in the spring/summer months I would probably choose a room at the front of the house with a view out to the bay. We had a delightful 2-night stay and would highly recommend.
Small point, but the huge jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom has a slow filler, takes ages to get the water level up to the required level to use the jets, so we didn't bother - it would be super if that could be fixed, but it's still a lovely bathroom.

Beautiful property a block from the Cliff Walk with lovely breakfast and wine & snack options each day.

Breakfast was awesome with all the variety of tastes. Happy hour was fun meeting other guests.
Bathroom on lower floor at night wasn't so great

We absolutely loved our stay at The Cliffside Inn. The Garden Suite completely exceeded our expectations and was more beautiful than the (beautiful) photos. The door to the suite is right off the main deck, and you enter into the bedroom. The bay window overlooks the gardens, and the spiral staircase goes down into the bathroom/reading nook area, with an exterior door to the private patio. It was the perfect spot - easy to grab coffee, snacks, and breakfast (all amazing) from the main floor of the inn, but still felt very private. The inn itself is so close to the entrance of the Cliff Walk, and an easy drive to downtown. All of the inn staff were happy and helpful and nice. The food was delicious. The room spotless. We couldn't have asked for anything better!

I loved the proximity to everything, the Cliff Walk, The Breakers, some great restaurants and cafes

The breakfast choices were superb. Each was hand made with an excellent presentation. It was the type of breakfast you would expect at a high-end restaurant. The ambiance of the sitting room to eat the breakfast was an added bonus.

The breakfast was very good and served very nicely
we were there for three nights. My husband and I were on a weeks vacation. We had just come from another Lark hotel. Both locations were very nice. The difference was in the staff. The first location the Merchant had a warm and wonderful staff that just seamlessly took care of the inn with pride. The second had a staff that gave almost a tense vibe. For example we were lectured on the protocol of how to request our room to be freshened on our second day. Funny the first day went well but on the second we were told "you know you have to leave our sign on your door". Our room was the only room on the first floor literally in the main hall. Kind of hard to miss it hanging there. What bothered us was how we were spoken to. Next our fireplace pilot light blew out because of the wind. When my husband alerted the staff he was handed a lighter and told to fix it. We were concerned for the safety of ourselves and the entire Inn because this was a gas fireplace. He could not get it to re-light.
We get away very little and the few days we had did not need to include the feelings that we felt.

Superb staff and wonderful location. It is perfect for a getaway full of relaxation and peace and quiet. The breakfast is wonderful, and it was so close to Cliff Walk. It is a bit far from Thames but driving there is not difficult, parking may be, however.
The automatic blinds were not working in our room and were making a very strange noise all night. The staff quickly remedy this and provided us with a complimentary bottle of wine for our trouble.

the rooms were gorgeous, clean, spacious. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was delicious and different every morning. There were also hors d'oeuvres served every afternoon with wine for the guests, such a nice touch😊. So many comfy sitting areas around the property. Staff was super friendly. right next to Cliff walk! We will be visiting again one day, thank you!

The breakfast was the best of any B & B we stayed at during our trip to Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard.
Small and short bedside tables. Lots of stairs!

We liked the location and all of the extras such as snacks and water and coffee.
Lots of cozy spaces to sit and eat the delicious breakfast and appetizers and wine.
The room was very comfortable and cool.
The only thing that we found could be improved was the water pressure in the shower.

The inn is in an amazing location - right by cliff walk and Easton’s beach - and has beautiful grounds. The staff were all very nice and helpful. And the room was well decorated. Breakfast was grab and go but had nice variety of options.
Our room had climate control issues that made it very uncomfortable. It gets full sun and had a small and very noisy window AC that didn’t cut it. We are also pretty sure the mini split heater came on at night (there was no remote for it but it may have been on a timer?). When we came back from walking around town the room was stifling despite having the AC running the whole time.

The location is superb. The staff was friendly and the inn was delightful
