we encountered a significant issue with the hot water tap in both rooms. Whenever we attempted to use the hot water, the noise was unbearable. This loud, disruptive sound made it impossible for us to use the hot tap comfortably. Such a basic amenity should function properly without causing a disturbance, and this inconvenience greatly affected our overall comfort.
Additionally, the televisions in both rooms were non-functional throughout our stay. Despite our attempts to troubleshoot and multiple requests for assistance from the hotel staff, the problem remained unresolved. Having a working television is a standard expectation for any hotel stay, and the absence of this amenity further added to our disappointment. When I went to ask for some assistance I was told by the bar staff that it was due to the weather. Only when I explained that wasn’t a good enough answer did the manager then get involved.
I was offered a free drink for the issue but it seemed like a huge effort
These issues were highly disruptive and negatively impacted our stay. We chose your hotel based on its reputation for comfort and quality service, but unfortunately, our experience did not meet these expectations.

Did not have breakfast.
Good location.
Evening meal good.
A bit dated, could do with a bit of modernisation and a general facelift.

Good value
Late breakfast time.
Basic room and bed with no easy chair

The staff were very friendly. The linen and towels were fresh and clean.
The bathroom had a bad smell. The ceiling has lots of black mould and the edge of the bath needs the black silicone removed. When we were being shown to our room the stair way smelt of marijuana which the young lady showing us must of smelt because when we came down stairs to get a drink she had sprayed air freshener around but obviously did nothing to stop the people using it,No warning when booking about the stairs and not able to park reasonably close to unpack the car.

Let us check in early and showed us how to get in after the pub was closed as we were at the festival, helpful guy .
We were going to have breakfast, but unfortunately the gas was off, there was someone fixing it but they were not sure how long it would take so we didn't wait, but i understand that was beyond thier control, but it was dissappointing

Welcoming, friendly staff. Beautiful, clean, comfortable room.
Not enough sachets if coffee or milk in room. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Great location, friendly staff, and good value for money. Fresh decor and clean facilities. Free overnight parking nearby.
Some street noise early on but not a bother overnight.

Good location in the centre of Wadebridge and staff were very helpful with any of our requests. Great breakfast and plenty of choice.
The room was basic and extremely hot. Situated above a busy pub which is open late so there is a lot of noise below and out onto the street. Bathroom facilities were basic and the water temperatures were not consistent whilst using the shower.

Location to the town centre
Long-term car parking was a 10 minute walk. Noise - very busy street outside well into the night for traffic

Good bedroom decor, good bed, good shower. Had tea, coffee and biscuits.
When leaving earlier than planned found we were locked in. Managed to find our way out through staff stairwell.

Location
No obvious place to check in; our room was situated up several flights of stairs and near a fire door which slammed each time it was used; the only place which looked nice and clean was the upstairs restaurant area. There was loud music played in the bar which we could hear until it ended late at night making sleep impossible. The beds were comfy but child sized and the window which looked out onto a back alley would not open more than a few inches. We were given a key to the back door which was down steep stairs and the alley was disgustingly littered and there was dog excrement on the ground. Unless I missed them, there are no clear instructions as to where to park; we found one car park for 4 hours and further away, another which charged £10 for 24 hours. We did not eat there but walked to the sister pub for dinner which was good.

Room was bright and so clean we had a fan, extra in wardrobe, good shower.

Food in evening was excellent it was busy due to royal Cornwall show being on . Will be back .
Parking due to location, but opposite pub we parked in long stay co-op car park .

Staff were friendly and the shower was good.
The staff were very friendly and happy to help. The problem was the room. I will point out that this booking was during the Royal Cornwall Show, so rooms were hard to find. the Swan was fully booked up.
The room was up a few flights of stairs. It was very hot, much hotter than outside the room for some reason, but a fan was provided. The bed was terribly uncomfortable, far too soft and lumpy. I slept on the floor on the second night which was better. The sing window in the room looked out directly onto a tile roof, close enough to touch so no view at all. The closeness of the roof meant that very little air got into the room and the reflected heat was probably what made the room so hot. The room was en-suite and the shower was very good. Flushing the toilet resulted in a plumbing noise that sounded like a aircraft taking off for a couple of minutes. The hot water tap in the sink made a similar noise. There was still rubbish in the dustbin from the previous guest and the overall décor of the room was very dated and in a poor state.
We would not stay again, but I will state again that the staff were very friendly, it was the room that was bad.

Good bed. Location close to my nieces wedding venue was good and the reason for staying
No parking, not even a drop off point. Spent ages driving around. Found a Co-op parking, walked to hotel. They suggested I could stay in the Co-op car park even though overnight parking was forbidden (max 4 hours). Then directed me to a carpark 5 mins walk away. It was ok. So walked baggage from Co-op car park. Checked in. Moved car and paid again. Reverse process on checkout. Moved care to nearer car park. Breakfast started at 0930, way too late. Had a good breakfast at hotel a few mins away which did walk ins.

clean, pleasant, quiet, cosy.
the heating element in the kettle is rusty.

Clean room, comfy bed.
Room stuffy with no air but fan provided which helped. Not much to see and do in Wadebridge. Staff seemed put out to check us in, stood waiting for manager for 15 mins. Not a good first impression.

I sadly had a really bad experience staying here. I'm not one to write bad reviews but as someone who travels on there own quite a lot I feel it's important for others in a similar situation to hear.
I went up to bed around 10ish and was woken up around midnight by some really loud drunk shouting / banging / crashing to the point where I actually was getting scared... At 3.30am i text and tried calling the landlord before panicking and calling the police. I was really worried they were fighting and i could hear there door opening oposit mine. Ofcourse it isn't the hotels fault that this was happening but I felt very alone.
Now this is where I hold the hotel accountable. I found that I was completely locked into the building when trying to let the police in through the entrance and fire door. I was later told the fire escape was unlocked but 'very stiff'. I was down there for about 5 minutes trying it with all my weight while the police officer on the other side did the same. The police then told me to stop and go lock myself in my room while they called a fire engine... 'very stiff' seems very unlikely and seriously not okay for anybodies safety.
I'm a young women used to being solo and travelling a lot but this was by far the most scary and vulnerable position I'd found myself in. What if there was a fire? What if the drunken men got aggressive with me or hurt each other? I was completely locked into the building and as far as I knew it was just me and then two very drunk angry sounding people in the building.
The landlord called me about a hour after and let me know there were staff in the building (I wasn't aware). The staff member then came up to my floor and checked what was going on by which point the drunken men had stopped (5am and this point).
Niether the landlord or the hotel staff checked in on me again and nobody working downstairs when I left said a word about it.
