House was perfect to accommodate our group. Large backyard for the dog and basement was a plus for playing pool and darts. Very clean and cozy. Would stay again!

Great accommodations. Had everything we needed and more! My son and daughter-in-law enjoyed fly fishing in the area and my wife and I enjoyed relaxing and visiting Maine relatives! If we come back next year, we’ll definitely stay here again.

Thank you Renee for hosting us in your lovely home this weekend! The house is spacious, cozy, clean, secluded, quiet—everything that we were looking for for our ski weekend. We absolutely loved using the hot tub after long days on the slopes, and curling up by the gas stove in the evening. The property is only 20 minutes from Sunday River, and only about five minutes from the town of Bethel. Renee was quick to respond to any of our questions, and left detailed notes for us, so that we had all information that we needed on hand upfront. We hope to have the opportunity to stay again! We would absolutely recommend staying at this property to anyone potentially interested.

The property was private and secluded, but still close to Sunday River and all other Bethel attractions. It was clean and cozy, and the hot tub helped relax after a day on the slopes.

My son and I had a great week of hunting. Coming back each day to a clean, warm and cozy house made it that much better.

The house was amazing and beautiful! Although we did find that the house could of been a little bit cleaner (one of us owns a cleaning business ;)) but it was still a nice place to get away and see Maine!

One of the best places we've stayed in the Bethel area. Close to town but feels like you're in the middle of the woods. Owner was communicative and helpful.

From the beginning to end our stay at the Canon was fabulous. There are plenty of outdoor activities in close proximity which is what my wife and I were looking for. At the end of our hikes we came to our cabin and enjoyed grilling and the hot tub. Just do not follow Google if it takes you to ames lane. Be sure to go through Bethel.

This was the perfect vacation home for our family! The owner was very quick to respond to all questions! Something to do for everyone, hot tub, pool table, TV/internet, board games. Best of all the area is quiet and not a lot of traffic at all! Loved everything about our stay!!

We had a great visit and the property was exactly as advertised. Plenty of space for our family of five to stretch out and all the amenities we were looking for. Clean, well-appointed, and very comfortable. The lodge is very convenient to Bethel and Sunday River and we found plenty of good restaurant options within 10 minutes. We would definitely stay here again and Renee was very communicative and helpful.

The Mountain Lodge is a great place to enjoy Maine's wilderness and quiet, while having a warm and comfortable lodging. The property is a newer log cabin with all the comforts of home on a beautiful private lot. The back deck has a lovely jacuzzi we enjoyed after snowshoeing nearby. At night we enjoyed games, cards and the downstairs pool table!

We used VRBO as a reasonably priced lodging for a family get together. It was perfect for our needs. The owner was very accommodating and flexible to meet our needs. I would definitely use VRBO again, and especially Renee's home if possible.

Stayed at the property for 3 nights and it was amazing. The house had everything I needed and the document the owner put together made it so I had no questions! Owner was very responsive. I absolutely loved sitting in the screened in porch.

Oh my gosh, what a cute place! Communication was great. Renee let me know about a few things before we got there. We had our two small dogs with us, and they felt right at home. Close enough to town to not have too long of a drive, but also far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. I would recommend this VRBO to anyone staying in the area. Thanks again to the owners for having us.

Our drive from Southwest Harbor to Bethel (on a Monday, when most places are closed) caused some trepidation but that was quickly allayed. Our stay in the area was fabulous, as was the house. Sunday River, Step Falls, Lost Pond, Steam Mill Brewery, Sugar Shack and the covered bridges are just a few discoveries we enjoyed. We heard turkeys and a moose from the backyard but were not fortunate enough to spy the moose. We saw just enough color change in the leaves to satisfy us but will have to return another year to see the full sall splendor of the state. We'd certainly look to return to this Vrbo.

Go to the Gem museum and walk the trail around the town. Very dog friendly area. The back yard is large for tennis ball throwing. Very nice deck with hot tub for relaxing and soaking.

The cabin is in a beautiful area! Renee, the owner, was also very flexible with me and my family when we had to reschedule due to COVID-related reasons, which was greatly appreciated!

This house was adorable! A group of friends and I stayed for the Memorial Day weekend and had such a relaxing time! The owner was very nice and communicative, and we had no issues. The hot tub was great, the fire pit was amazing, and the pool table and TV in the basement provided entertainment even in the rain. Loved it!

This was our second time here and we had a great stay. The house is set up perfectly and near everything we like to do in Western Maine. It is especially nice that we are able to bring our dogs with us when we stay.

I moved to this area 4. Months ago from. PA My best friend and daughter ca.e for a visit. We all were in heaven living the Maine life. Best part of the trip was probably it snowing while in the hot tub

The house was clean and well supplied, just as advertised. It’s also in a terrific location for easy access to lots of great hiking, which is what we came for. For us, though, comfort was an issue. We found both the sectional sofa and king bed on the first floor too soft for our 60+ year old bodies. There were also several lightbulbs out in locations we couldn't reach to change. If you have a dog, be aware of the large elderly yellow Lab who roams loose in the neighborhood and WILL find you. Thankfully, he seems friendly.

We had the pleasure of spending a week at this beautiful Maine cabin, the house was spotless upon arrival and everything we could ask for as far as everyday essentials were there and available to us. My children loved the hot tub and the fire pit outback. It was a quiet week away from our everyday hustle and bustle and we hope to be able to return soon! Renee was extremely responsive when I had questions and there was a hand written note when we arrived with additional information if we needed it.

We had a very bad experience, was not what we expected at all! The property was not what the reviews listed. It was filthy and it looked like it was lived in instead of a rental property.
