This place worked out perfectly and both houses were very organized and clean. We were able to have the kids in one and the adults in another, which was awesome! :) the dock was amazing and well taken care of. We go to Cedar Creek lake 3-4 times each summer and Clays place was definitely ranked towards the top!

This was the perfect property for our family and some of our kids friends to spend time together. The Biggest benefit is we could dock our boat on the boat dock there.

The house awesome for a big group. The location on the lake is perfect, especially for big boats. The beds were very comfortable. The owners are great!

We had a great time. Plenty of room. The property was just as described. The lake view was amazing and we spent each night sitting by the fire pit staring at the stars. Highly recommend this little gem of a property!

This house was one of the nicest ones I've ever rented. Clay was a great host and a good communicator. We really enjoyed our stay and could likely rent this same house again in the future.

My family of four and our friends family of five spent three nights here and it was awesome. The screened in porch was perfect while the littles played in the backyard. The fence was perfect for the littles as well. Very relaxing, clean and plenty of space for our two families. The sunset is beautiful!

Beautiful house and well kept. Fully equipped with everything we needed. Amazing yard and even better Sunsets. The view is amazing.
Clay was so helpful and easy to work with. The dock was under construction and he kept us up to date with repairs. And when rain delayed some construction. He went out of his way to make sure we were still able to use the dock and was even having a temporary ladder put in for us.
The beds in the main house were so comfortable.
We will definitely be back again.

We had a great time staying at this beautiful home. It was too cold the first day to do anything outside but the view was beautiful from inside the home and it was a great time just enjoying each other’s company, playing games and watching tv. My twin sister got engaged in the backyard at sunset on Saturday evening! Such a great backdrop for such a moment! Only negative is that the doors were hard to open to the guest house and the door to the covered patio kept getting stuck. Other than that, great home and the beds were SO comfortable and we all got good sleep. Will definitely stay again if opportunity presented itself.

This property was well represented on VRBO. Communication with Clay was easy and timely. There were 7 of us, 2 couples that used the out building and 3 of us used the main house.
The main house served as the gathering spot with a wonderful kitchen and open area to a huge sectional and screened in porch. All this overlooks the lake with panoramic views including sunrise and sunset. Would definitely go back!

What a fantastic weekend!
My wife and I brought our 4 kids down for a long weekend and had an absolute blast! The property is so cool, the kids loved having their own little "apartments". It was clean, updated, and the view of the lake and the evening sunsets were amazing. I'm not sure what the bed complaints are about, all 6 of us slept well and the beds were comfortable. Clay is very responsive and we developed a nice report in the days leading up to our stay. All in all, Cedar Creek Lake has been one of my favorite get-aways since I was a kid. And you cannot go wrong with this property!

New Year's Weekend Trip
This property has great potential. Its location is ideal and the views and space in the back yard were amazing. The two houses worked great for my family and we loved the screened in porch and lakeside firepit.
There are things that pictures can't show which could be taken care of but others are out of the owner's control. The houses are very close together and neighboring conversations, music, FIREWORKS and parties are part of the experience. The furnishings and beds are very well loved and worn and could use a refresh especially with the cost per night. There are still some issues with the cleaning service and maintenance on the houses. I rented the house so we could eat and hangout as a family. We used the coffee tables and chairs on the screened in porch to dine. It would have been nice to have a table inside large enough for us especially as the fireworks started at dinner each night. Most disappointing to my 4 year old grandson was the fact that the treehouse was missing. PLEASE take and update the pictures. The other reviews about the beds are correct. Everyone's bed was an issue - too high, too hard, not supportive. We brought mattress toppers from home to help - not all were successful.
The owner was very receptive to my questions and concerns. I appreciated his flexibility in allowing us to bring the family dogs but the cost per night was not equal to the experience of staying there.

Backyard is the best feature
Overall, I would have to say the backyard was just fabulous. Totally fenced in with wrought iron fencing so we had a happy dog and a happy toddler. The fishing was outstanding! The firepit was wonderfully constructed. The views were to die for, and watching the white pelicans, cormorants, and bald eagles was fantastic! The pictures showed another seating area which no longer exists (and hasn't for a long time) and other furniture was stacked up by the house. But the outside was definitely 5 star. Unfortunately, although the inside was spacious enough for us, and the kitchen was well stocked, the place really needs to be cleaned better and needs to be updated. Several pieces of furniture are old and have holes and gashes, and we could see cobwebs up on the shelves. The bottom of the pullout freezer drawer was not cleaned. I am not that picky of a renter, and we have done 5 rentals since covid began. But I paid way more per night than I had in any other house,. Another little thing, there was no soap at all in the showers, and that should come with a place that cost what it did. I'm used to bringing extra supplies, but we still had to go buy more soap and toilet paper. The house is supposed to sleep 14, and we only had 6 people. No way would 14 people have had what they needed. The standalone garage apartments were nice, although we only used the upper room.
Jason was great to deal with as we had a clogged sink upon arrival and lukewarm water in the garage apartment shower. He had a plumber out the next day to take care of it.

Beautiful view
Our overall experience was nice and relaxing.
The view is amazing and it’s a tranquil part of the lake. The safety gate was a huge plus and the biggest reason we chose the property. Having dock access was also a great feature.
Cons- main house mattresses offered no support and were so noisy that any shift in position caused both of us to fully wake up. Our guests said the guest house main bed was stiff as a board and uncomfortable for that reason.
The wood floors were filthy -Turing the bottoms of our feet black and the infants hands and feet/knees black. There were an immense amount of heavy spider webs throughout the inside of the home. Doesn’t seem like the cleaning service is doing much cleaning between renters.
Outside- lots of debris found in the lawn which we threw out to avoid the infants getting a hold of them (broken fishing pole, candy/chocolate packages, fishing line, bottle caps, etc.)

Great for multiple families
The guest house was great for families with kids to stay and the adults has the house in the evening for post bedtime games and conversation. Excellent sunset views! Deep water right off the dock for great daily lounging. Fenced in yard gave peace of mind for kids to run around.

Family getaway.
The property is beautiful with plenty of room to sleep, visit, park, and let the kids run around. I was very impressed with the outdoor space and just how comfortable we all felt. We had young children and grandparents that use rolling walkers, and everyone was able to move around without limitations. Keep in mind that the main house has beds that are fairly tall to get into so the grandparents stayed in the 1st floor of the secondary home that has the bunk beds. I highly recommend this property.

Peaceful Setting
This property was a perfect place for our family to spend Thanksgiving. The home was warm and inviting and far exceeded our expectations. Our four granddaughters (ages 8 and below), loved the bunk room and having endless summersalt races in the large yard was a special treat. Jason was very prompt in all communications. We hope to go back!

Great lake location
We were very impressed with the property. The guest house was great for my kids with small children and the gated property provided a secure environment for the dog and the kids. Access to open water and the views were spectacular. Would stay here again.

Fantastic Family Getaway
We had a very nice time at this lovely property. The sunsets and night sky are superb and the swimming from the dock was tons of fun. We were very comfortable with age ranges from 70 to 5 months old. Plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to prepare a wonderful meal. We brought our small fishing boat and getting it in and out and using the dock was super easy. Shout out in particular to our incredible host who was extremely gracious and let us park our vehicle in the drive beyond our stay after an unexpected flat tire.

Lots of room/Beautiful house, Pros and Cons
Pros: Perfect set up for multiple families as there are separate living quarters. We had an issue the first night, a water leak from the AC in the first bedroom over the bed (bed soaked at 2 am) but Jason was quick and got the repair personnel out there on a Sunday to fix it asap. Boat lift was awesome having that to dock our boat.
Cons: We came at 4:30 pm and the maids were still cleaning and finished in a hurry and it showed (definitely could have been cleaner). We had NO toilet paper and NO hand soap (had to run to the store and get some), and those items should be included in the price of the rental.
Overall a very beautiful property and we had a good visit.

Good space with a great spot on the lake
We absolutely loved every sunset each night, and loved the space for four couples. Everything was in working order and the space was clean. We would definitely book here again next time in Cedar Creek.

Beautiful Property
Great location and set up. Only negative-the beds in the main house were too tall for ya to get in and out of, so bring a step still if you’re under 5’5. ..it’s worth the effort.

Beautiful Property & one I would recommend
This property and neighborhood made for a great week long vacation. The house was well maintained and stocked with everything we expected. A couple of our favorite aspects: Bunk room- Kids LOVED having their own space to claim and the extra benefit was that we never felt cramped with our mix of kids/teens/adults. The upstairs guest house is like a studio apartment, with its own entrance, so it works great if you want a bit more privacy. The screened in porch is perfect to enjoy morning/daytime/evening R&R. Kitchen was roomy and plenty of pots/pans/dishes, etc. I do travel with some of my own things, which complimented what was supplied well. The backyard/fire pit area was also a favorite spot. Things that stood out about the property that I may mention based on who is traveling- The beds are high and if you are short/elderly, you may need a step stool to reach. There is a sunken dining room, again, I mention if you have someone elderly who is prone to falls. While these 2 things were a non-issue for my visit, I was thinking about what I might wish I knew, depending on who was traveling with me. Although we didn't receive check in information and had a few communication hiccups, Jason was quick to respond and got us on track quickly. They were extremely responsive and helpful. This is a property that we would rent again. Thanks for helping us make some great memories!

Great View but Needs Some Attention
While this is a great property with all rooms described appropriately, we found it in need of a good cleaning and some upgrades made to the kitchen items available. We entered the back porch breezeway to be welcomed by a giant dead TX roach--not a good sign. The separate bldg. bedrooms were filled with cobwebs, as was the back area of the fridge that was clearly visible (I got after it myself with the broom!). The frying pans available were so terrible the first trip to Walmart was for a new pan so we could begin Thanksgiving prep. There are no small appliances (outside a coffee maker and toaster), so the next trip was for a hand mixer and some needed spatulas and a dish scrubber, all of which were donated to our single daughter at the end of the stay. While the kitchen has been upgraded with stonework, it is definitely a D-I-Y job, as many of the stones fell off when barely bumped. The windows looking out to the lake on the back of the house were simply filthy--what a bummer compromising the view. I would say with a little attention this place would be great but I cannot recommend it in its current state. Interestingly other reviews warned of the cranky neighbors if you made noise. While we didn't have this issue, our visit was actually compromised by the noise of the contractors working on the house next door as it is being remodeled. Their air compressor was going all day Friday and they were even working on Thanksgiving day when we wanted to relax.

40th Bday blast
The house was great! But DO NOT play music, have lights on, or be outside past 10 pm. The neighbor will come make chilling threats to your safety to adults and kids the next day.

Great
It was a great stay. House was perfect for our family. The erosion nextdoor is a real eye sore.
