A great month in NYC!

Great location near Central Park. One of the calmest places I have stayed in NYC. Great communication from host.

The neighborhood is fabulous. So much to do and so many great restaurants and shops nearby. The apartment has lots of storage so you can really move in and feel at home. The kitchen is well equipped and there are throws and extra pillows around that makes it even more comfortable. The apartment is spacious and bright. Highly recommend!

Amazing month there.

I arrived quite early in the morning and mark and Renata worked hard to ensure an early check in. I was given a direct texting line if I ever had issues to which I was always helped out immediately. Once, I needed a can opener and 30 minutes later one was delivered to me. Also, the management checked in with me to make sure I had everything I needed.
The apartment is clean and spacious with large windows and a private patio with a table. I truly enjoyed having my tea outside in the mornings and couldn’t believe the quiet feel of this space in the courtyard.
The AC units worked great, the bathroom was large and spacious. There was a sufficient kitchen for basic needs. But not a lot of counter space if you want to cook a gourmet meal. Which I like to do. However, I kept it simple and found everything was adequate for that. Also, counters and appliances were all clean and new. The bedroom is large and the closet space is grand. The neighborhood is fantastic. The Citi bike rack is across the street and the park entrance is one block away and the subway is 1/2 block away. It’s truly amazing how perfectly convenient the location is! I enjoyed many meals just a block away on colombus street, and one further block away is Amersterdame Ave with restaurants galore.
I felt extremely safe and comfortable in the apartment. One more thing - The laundry machine is directly across the hall and down the stairs. It feels like it’s part of the unit.
I would recommend this VRBO. There are other VRBO units in the same building. I saw 2A as well and thought it too was lovely. I would definitely stay here again!

Incredible NYC Upper West Side Apt
This was my second stay in this lovely apartment in this exciting city. Can't beat the location with easy access to Central Park, mass transportation, Broadway theaters, museums and restaurants. Rena and Mark are always available to help. Can't wait to return.

Great location, but in need of a deep cleaning and attention
The property is in an incredible location, as other reviewers stated. Both Central Park and the subway are very close. Also, for an apartment in Manhattan, it's a good size.
That said, when I arrived, the apartment was not clean. The bathtub was filthy, the rugs had not been vacuumed, there was a thick layer of dust on the bathroom shelves, the kitchen cupboard interiors had grime and a strange smell to them, and there were dishes still in the dishwasher from a previous tenant, the cleanliness of which I don't know. The walls of the kitchen, and other areas, had evidence of previous splashes that had never been cleaned.
There were many remotes in the apartment for various pieces of equipment. Many of the remotes did not have batteries. Some of the batteries were corroded, and one remote, to the bedroom TV, had tape holding the batteries in.
The ceiling fan above the bed was broken. Since there was air conditioning, the ceiling fan was not such an issue. But at one point the air conditioner in the bedroom had water dripping out of it, onto the drapes and floor of the interior bedroom. (The air conditioner was repaired the next day.)
The storage spaces in the apartment (a loft above the bedroom closet and the utility closet) are repositories for cast-off or seasonal items, all of which are haphazardly thrown into the spaces.
The bedding and bathroom linens are showing their wear and there is no aesthetic coordination to any of them.
Many sundry items were also lacking, such as dish soap, trash bags, dishwasher detergent, or extra sponges to clean with. One sponge was provided in the kitchen. Subsequently, I went out and purchased many of these items and cleaned the apartment myself.
Lastly, the owner/manager, Rena, seemed more concerned with showing/videoing the apartment to potential future candidates (She came into the apartment 3 times for this purpose, during my 5 week stay.), than she was with ensuring the present tenant was situated in a clean, well equipped, and private apartment.

December 2020 NYC
The location was excellent, the apartment nice and the owners were good to work with. The only downside was our plans changed so we asked about a partial refund but that was not given ( three weeks stay vs four weeks paid).

Best stay ever!
Needed a safe place to quarantine and check up on our son. Location was perfect. Close to him—steps from Central Park. Hope to be a regular visitor here.

Great Location
This unit is exactly as described. It is a great location, literally steps from Central Park. Many restaurant options, convenient grocery shopping. The building is quiet, and the unit is on the back of the building overlooking a lovely 'courtyard' area of patios and trees. Rena was a welcoming host. We would stay here again.

Great NYC apartment - wonderful location
This is a comfortable apartment in a great location. We went for walks every day in Central Park (right across the street). Subway stop is one block over. Natural History Museum and the Met museum are super close as well (not open during our visit - next time!). It is so much nicer to stay in this area instead of in the noise and chaos around Times Square. Great restaurants at the end of the block, and even more within a short stroll. We were so fortunate to find the BEST gluten free restaurant (actually 3 different restaurants side by side) 1 block away (mediterranean, bakery, and fabulous brunch spot - all certified gf - but you wouldn't know it. I asked them multiple times to confirm because the pasta, flatbread pizza, and pancakes were so good. Veggie centric and Vegan friendly as well).
The apartment owner and onsite manager were always quick to respond if I had any questions or needed anything. They would even send messages on occasion just to check in. The apartment was very clean when we arrived. One note: The owners have multiple apartments in the building, so the kitchen and bathroom of the one we ended up staying in were not the same ones pictured (but were comparable, so it was fine). We did have the apartment with the small backyard balcony - a rare find in NYC, and nice to have a place to sit surrounded by greenery. The TV in the living area wasn't really functioning - but that was fine because we could stream on our computers and weren't in NYC to watch TV anyway. I would definitely stay at this location again.

Best of both worlds in Manhattan
Peaceful neighbourhood and right next to Central Park gave us our recharge after a day of sightseeing and shopping which is so close. Subway to midtown and downtown is only 30sec away. Take a walk around the neighbourhood and you feel like a local with unique shops and New York style living. We will go back to Mark’s apartment anytime. Best laundry is on 82nd next to Broadway. Zabars on Broadway gives you the best selection of food.

Nicest location!
The location is really nice!
Not only for sightseeing but also for us to run NY marathon.
Easy access for both subway and bus made us lots of visiting various places laces from downtown to uptown.
Also from the goal of marathon we could be back within 10 minutes walk after 26.2 miles run.
As to the everyday life, supermarkets and wine shops are easy ly accessible and we could enjoy cooking almost everyday which can make cost conscious people like us happy enough.
Thanks to Mark we could enjoyed New York for which we appreciate!

Great, clean, updated apartment and location!
Perfect location for our fall break - close to Central Park, restaurants, subway, etc. Very clean and comfortable. We loved the newly renovated pluses about this apartment (kitchen, bathroom, HVAC, etc.) and there was plenty of storage for our things! The new AC mini-splits were very nice and worked well (although we didn't need it too much with the cooler weather most days). It was also nice to look out the windows and see trees! We would definitely stay here again!

Great Apartment in Upper West Side
Pros - This is a great apartment with loads of space, amenities and comforts - particularly aircon in summer! Location is everything - back of building so quiet with lovely tree filled outlook, safe neighbourhood so no problem walking at night, close to 81s street subway to easily get downtown/uptown, walk to Columbus, Amsterdam & Broadway (with Zabar's grocery/deli - a must! & subway) and lovely walk across Central Park to the museums.
Not a con really but be aware that the shared washer and dryer are coin operated and take quarters only. There is a laundry on 83rd st (near Columbus) that does washing, drying and folding for half the price - bargain!

Great stay on UWS
Enjoyed our stay in this well-appointed, clean, and perfectly located Upper West Side apartment. Plenty of room for our week-long stay in New York. Less than a block from the subway, and so close to Central Park and museums. Great neighborhood restaurants and shops nearby. Hope to return again soon!

Quiet, relaxing and comfortable. Responsive owner.
We were there for the holidays and was nice not to be in a hotel. Heat worked well for those reading reviews where heat was an issue.

Lovely property in a perfect location.
I have nothing but positive comments about this lovely rental. The space is very sunny, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is updated with plenty of space. The kitchen is fully stocked, as well. The location could not be better with Central Park and the Natural History Museum a stone's throw away. The subway is nearby and there are plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. I will definitely stay here again.

A cozy nook on the West Side
The apartment was generally as described. The manager, Mark, was on property, and graciously made himself available to address my concerns. Regrettably, the heat was not working properly for a few days, and the apartment was quite cold during that time. Mark provided portable heaters, but they did little to make the unit as comfortable as it might have been, had the heat been working. Otherwise, the apartment was comfortable, clean, and well situated to enjoy the Upper West Side and its many attractions.
