Pineapple Cottage – the perfect symbol of hospitality on St. Simons Island.

Real Escapes is pleased to offer the Pineapple Cottage. The pineapple has served as a symbol of hospitality, warm welcome, and good cheer for many years, and this Cottage is appropriately named!

The single level home is comprised of two bedrooms, two baths, living room, dining area, fully stocked kitchen with a work station and family room. The flooring consists of hardwood and tile throughout. There are 3 TVs as well as wireless internet access.

The home features a large screened porch, with ceiling fans, that extends across the entire back of the house. The porch overlooks the expansive backyard creating a serene place to relax. This cottage is equipped with a washer and dryer. The cottage is a "dog-friendly" property complete with a fenced in yard!

Ashantilly is a quiet street located off of Kings Way in the historical Kings Terrace Subdivision near the Pier Village Area. The Cottage is a very easy walk or bike ride (only 0.5 mile) on the path to the beach and village. The closest beach is a very dog friendly, low tide only beach and a favorite spot for viewing the 4th of July fireworks shooting off from the St. Simons pier. Within the Village you will find several great restaurants, bars, retail shops, and lots of outdoor activities. At the far end of the village sits the pier. The pier is perfect for fishing, crabbing, sunset strolls, and watching the schools of playful dolphins. Past the pier, stroll the oceanfront path leading to the large community grill area under the large live oaks, two play grounds, the newly remodeled oceanfront community pool and mini golf, the Saint Simons library, and the historic lighthouse.

• Any group gatherings and events at this property are limited to the number of occupants (4 persons).
• Dogs are welcome at this property for an additional non-refundable pet fee per pup. (No cats.)
• Parking is available for 2 vehicles.
•1 1/2 miles to Coast Guard Station Public Beach Access, 1/2 mile to Pier Village

Minimum age to rent is 25. This applies to all guests with the exception of multi-generational families.

What to Expect in your Unit:
• There are 3 TVs located in this property. (Den, Bedroom #1, Back Family Room)
• Linens (Bath towels and bed sheets) are provided along with a Starter Supply of Toilet Paper, Soap, Paper Towels and Trash Bags (Any additional supplies needed during tenancy will be the responsibility of the guest.)

I love love love pineapple cottage so very much! Would not stay anywhere else! Even cleaner and prettier than described. A five minute bike ride to the beach… A five minute bike ride to the pier. Even quicker in a car! Love this place!

We would highly recommend the property my husband and I as well as our dogs were very comfortable. The neighborhood was quite at night and the house was very well stocked with anything we could have needed including kitchen cooking supplies, linens, beach chairs, and even nice toilet paper. Which that is probably odd to say but I had actually packed toilet paper anticipating the low quality rolls you get at hotels. The only thing that would have made it more perfect would have been closer to the beach, it wasn't far but you did need to drive or bike.

Check-in was seamless and easy. House was nice and clean. Quiet neighborhood and neighbors. The beach and restaurants were all very close. Even we’re able to walk our dogs around the neighborhood and beach. It was a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Where do I begin? Pineapple cottage is the perfect place to stay! Great location… Less than a mile from the pier, less than 2 miles from the beach. Very nice neighborhood, very safe and clean. Absolutely beautiful home! Everything you would want in a vacation stay! I don’t think I’ll stay anywhere else when I go to Saint Simons!

We loved the location of the Pineapple Cottage. It was off the main road but very convenient to all of the points of interest. The pier village and the lighthouse is where we saw a great sunset. The backyard was great for our dog. He loved the space to run and play. The screened in back deck was very relaxing. The location of the property was great however upon entering the property we were hit in the face with an overwhelming musky moldy smell. We were staying for 3 nights and lasted only one night. We both woke up with headaches, congestion and itchy watery eyes. We called the real estate company managing the property and they were excellent locating another property for us to stay at with no additional fees. We thoroughly enjoyed the rest of our vacation.

The house was freshly cleaned. It was immaculately clean. Loved the gas stove; top of the line appliances. A/c was great. My dog babies likes the back porch & fenced in yard. Only 1 mile to Massengil beach and the pier. Loved it!!
