The Coastal Cottage on Third is to die for!
Completely renovated in 2017! The location is superb being six houses from the beach and three houses from the Bloody Marsh. Excellent marsh views and breezes from the driveway! The beach is a short 5 minute walk and East Beach offers sand and beach at high and low tide. The home is a mile from excellent restaurants and is located in the sought after East Beach neighborhood. East Beach was recently voted the best neighborhood on Saint Simon's Island by Elegant Island Life Magazine and with good reason! Walk or bike all around the area for relaxing trip that will renew your soul. This cottage features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a living room, kitchen dining room, dining bar, laundry area, two porches and a private yard.
The driveway and parking will accommodate four cars. A large screened porch equipped with a ceiling fan and patio lounging furniture welcomes you. The living room features sliding glass doors, a queen sleeper sofa, a fireplace (for looks only please), and a complete open floor plan that flows into the kitchen and dining room. The living room showcases a flat screen smart tv with Hulu TV, Amazon TV and streaming of any network channels and movies you could dream of.
Bedroom number one features a queen sized bed, smart tv and has a ceiling fan. Bedroom number two also houses a queen sized bed and ceiling fan. The guest bathroom has a bathtub and shower combination and a large vanity area.
The spacious master bedroom features a king sized bed with twin trundle bed underneath, makeup vanity, a flat screen smart tv, and an attached bathroom. The master bathroom is outfitted with designer tile and has a walk in shower. Both bathrooms have hair dryers for your convenience and all bedrooms have ceiling fans.
The kitchen is quaint and very open. New appliances, shaker cabinets, tile back splash, and quartz counter tops make this kitchen a show stopper. Fully equipped with a Keurig coffee maker and all of the cookware you may need. The dining bar seats four and the dining room seats six.
The front and back yards are very spacious for entertaining and the front yard features a foot wash to clean up from the beach. This cottage includes high speed internet, Amazon TV, Hulu TV, a charcoal barbecue grill, marsh views and an easy walk to the beach!!

My wife and I stayed at this house on our first trip to St. Simons, and it was fantastic in all respects. The house itself is nicely updated with a nice kitchen and living area and a deck off the back. The master bedroom that we used is large and well-appointed. It was just what we were looking for.
What we didn’t realize when we booked it was how great its location is too. It’s within easy walking distance to the beach and the WWII museum (which is fantastic) and a quick drive to the pier area and its shops and restaurants. In addition, the management company was great and had great communication before and during our stay. We would stay here again on another trip to the island.

This is the most adorable beach bungalow. It had everything that we needed and was in walking distance to the beach. The check-in/check-out process was easy and the property management company was very communicative and even sent along recommendations for things to do in the area which was helpful. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. The kitchen was well stocked with just about anything you’d need for cooking and there were a ton of toys for my 7 year old nephew. We would stay here again if we make if we make it back to SSI!

This home was the perfect spot for our family’s long weekend at the beach. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and the cottage had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Highly recommend.

Rusted, hazardous metal furniture on deck with some rotted boards facing an unlandscaped yard which was mainly dirt. Screened porch had stained, dirty concrete floor in need of paint partially covered with stained rug, rusted glider from the 50’s. Uneven flooring, very small master bath. Positives: location, master bed comfortable, plenty of cookware. Not a good experience for the price.

We very much enjoyed our stay in the Cottage on 3rd. We've been to SSI many times, but this was our first time staying in the East Beach neighborhood- we loved this convenient location! The house itself was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. We miss it already. We will be back for sure.

We enjoyed our time at the cottage. The only piece of information that would have been helpful was a description of the house and beach toys/kid friendly things available. We brought many things that we ended up not needing because they were at the house already.

The home was beautiful and full of charm!
The beds were very comfortable and the house had everything we needed. Great access to the beach and plenty of beach supplies and close to everything you could want to see and do in St Simons!
The only things we would recommend is to update the binder in the house with a current calendar for trash/recycling and checkout times (they do not match the instructions from the property manager).
It was a perfect vacation and we loved the house!

We loved the house! It was stocked with beach stuff and 2 bikes for riding around the Island! It was very clean upon our arrival and was in a perfect location. The short walk to the beach along a hidden path was great! We will definitely be back to this East Beach cottage!

This place was great! Close to everything. The master bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. The best part was how attentive the contact for the property was. When contacted she responded quickly and efficiently! Would definitely stay here again

This house was in a quiet neighborhood with great beach access. We didn't rent a golf cart - the wagon that we brought worked great. (If you want to rent a golf cart, the 5th street beach access is a perfect place to park.) The house had everything our family needed. The screened front porch was a nice spot to relax and great for all the beach gear.

This is a great location for families, there was a booster seat and pack n play already there! We rented a golf cart and it made all the difference in hauling our stuff to the beach up the long Beach access. The house was very clean and well stocked. We loved our time there!

The home was well-appointed, which is especially nice when you are only staying a few nights and didn’t bring everything with you. The proximity to the beach is great, and East beach is really a wonderful neighborhood. The bikes that were provided (2) were in great condition and came in handy, as you can get anywhere that you want to go on a bike from this home. My only issue with the experience was the lack of cable and/or satellite TV and the Weber charcoal grill in the photos turned out to be a $10 charcoal grill from Winn Dixie. We came down with the intention of watching the Dawgs play on tv the night we arrived but had to make other arrangements. There also wasn’t a charcoal chimney (as shown in the photos) provided. That being said, I would recommend this property.

Beautiful house in tranquil neighborhood walking distance from the beach
We loved every inch of this house and this setting. St. Simon's Island is a gem, and we hope to return to this very house for future visits. The host was super-responsive and we were able to utterly relax and enjoy.

Great cottage experience
The booking, payment and contact with host were great. I really like the check in process with the door code. And oh my, as soon as we opened the door we knew it was going to be a fantastic place to stay. We fell in love with the decor, everything worked and was super clean. Thank you for making this experience worth the money!

I will say that we were a little thrown by the outside appearance as it did not look exactly like the photos BUT we were blown away by the inside which is all that really mattered to us. We felt it was nicely decorated, clean and cozy. Be aware of the bugs and bring your Off. We also fought off alot of gnats in the home. However that could be due to the marshlands nearby. Overall, the house was perfect for the 6 adults on this trip. We would definitely rent it again. The owner was very responsive.
