Close to beach cafes and restaurants!
The bathroom lacks a little privacy due to the louvred doors

The paradiso resort had no booking for me, blamed it on the new computer system that booking had not synched with, so paradiso put me up for the 4 nights, so I never made it to th original booking
did not like having to drive to another resort to collect keys.
did not like that fact I could not stay where I had booked

Location is great and Mantra facilities are good. Shame about this room which is a private apartment within the Mantra. I’d opt for a Mantra room and avoid this option.
On arrival property was filthy. So bad we had to request it be cleaned, which was done but not well. Layers of dust on fans and shutters, just ended up on walls. One shower didn’t work, Lounge Floor had wet patch from shower leak, mould on ceiling, kitchen floor was always wet from faulty air con on below floor. Only enough towels for 2 people when 4 staying. We also had an issue within the apartment of fleas biting us (hoping it was fleas and not bed bugs!) Place in disrepair, dated and no instructions. Would have liked to discuss on check out but it was closed.

Location.
A week before our holiday, I received a missed call from a random number, and an SMS saying to please call the office. Having no idea who this was, I replied to the text asking "the office of what". The response was: "Excuse me? Your message makes no sense". After responding and advising them they sent me a text from an unknown number, asking me to call the office without specifying who they were, they told me they were from Kingscliff accommodation. They are unprofessional and rude.
I phoned them and was told the room we originally booked at Mantra (which I specifically booked for its facilities and location) was now unavailable and we would be upgraded to a 3 bedder across the road at Bale. Upon arrival, the place at Bale was filthy. The dining table was sticky with crumbs, the inside of the cupboards were filthy, the coffee machine had not been cleaned and had mouldy dried coffee in the coffee catching tray, the bin had dried bin juice on the outside of it, there were live cockroaches in the dishwasher and crawling around the apartment constantly, the floor was dirty, and the washing machine had dried food in it. There was also no cot on arrival which I had requested specifically upon booking, which means the baby could not sleep when we arrived. When I called for it they said it would be there at 5pm which was not helpful for us having arrived in the early afternoon. Someone was sent to clean also and deliver the cot later in the afternoon. At night when it got cold we put the heating on. The heating/ac system clearly has a fault as the entire time it was on, it would stop constantly and turn itself back on after about a minute or so with a huge bang which would constantly wake us up. 3 nights in, between the cockroaches in the apartment and the heating consent banging, we had had enough and messaged booking.

I did not stay at the Salt resort as the accommodation was under maintenance. I was upgraded to Paradiso resort at Kingscliff. It was definitely no upgrade!!!
Location was completely changed!
The property was unkept, unclean and a dive really.

I liked the choice of cafes and restaurants in walking distance
As it was a private room in the mantra, the staff were only available for a number of hours - whereas the mantra reception was available a lot more. We had no beach towels and had to wait 24 hrs to get some due to office hours. The staff were helpful when around however just the hours were an inconvenience if you needed something that wasn’t really urgent. I wouldn’t use a private room in the future

The bath was the only good thing
Everything the place was filthy mould everywhere mice poo in the drawers mould in bathroom everywhere. So dusty my allergies were crazy, tv was broken. Nothing supplied at all

Location was beautiful
It was dirty & very very dusty. The mattress protectors were just a single blanket over part of the bed & the mattress was beyond disgusting & unsanitary. The doonas were ripped & dirty - they haven’t been washed for ages.

Getting a little dated and was not very clean but the bed was excellent, chairs were old and uncomfortable.We needed guidance to find our room.

Having to collect the keys from another hotel and drop them back off .
Also the cards didn't really work in the door and the ladies couldn't help I was told to go back to where we collected them .

Location of the apartment and garden view was lovely. Bed clean and comfortable Good kitchen and Washing facilities .Lovely patio area
Lounge couch and the two chairs we could not use as they smelly and dirty. Handle on front of drier broken which made it difficult to open.

The resort is beautiful, the facilities are amazing, the Mantra staff lovely, the beach amazing.
Unfortunatly we had a negative experience with the booking agency, they apparantly double booked our room and tried to get us to move to the room next door after we had checked in and unpacked. I kept asking what was wrong with the room next door they kept telling me nothing, I double checked my booking and we were definitly in the room that I had booked (photos are an exact match), turns out the room next door was a hotel room we had booked a 1 bedroom with a kitchen.
We were asked to contact the second booking to organise the room swap, and were even asked if the random and probably irate person could meet us at the restaurant we were at having lunch to swap the keys? We were horrifed at this request as 1. we were in the room we booked and 2. why would i give a random our keys to a room we paid for and all our stuff was inside?
I really wish the booking agency didnt expect us to fix their mistake as it put a huge dampner on our stay, we were full of anxiety heading back to our room not knowing if the neighbour would make our 3 nights there a living hell for us all because the booking agency apparantly double booked the room and didnt try to find a solution for them, instead expected us to fix their mistake.
I would definitly stay at this resort again as it was beautiful but would be wary of booking with these guys again.

The view over the pool to the ocean, waterfall to pool under these rooms (2304/2305),
Beds were comfortable.
Not too much noise from other rooms.
Main surfaces appeared clean in kitchen.
Pools were nice, (shadey spots go quick)

Didn't realise check in( and out) was through another property in town. They could supply more info with after hours check-in about accessing the unit and the carpark at the property rather than including it in the welcome letter.They sent a link to a welcome letter via txt/ email after setting up late check in access( admittedly,I was unexpectedly late)but I didn't realise that it had 'some' more info that would have been helpful to find the unit as I didn't stop to download until after I was in the room.
I'm not very picky and in no way a housework queen at all, but the unit did need a really good thorough clean.
No dishwashing detergent,( bottle there,but empty) only powder for dishwasher.
No oven mitts and only one tea towel
No rubbish bag in bin in 2nd bedroom.
Kitchen bin top and floor, skirts and wall around bin were dirty.
Carpet not vacuumed properly ( if at all)
Pieces of lining fallen off from under single bed were on the floor.
Wet glass in cupboard
Louvres and main sliding door to balcony hard to open and you have to move the furniture to open them.
All louvres dirty.
Kitchen cupboards ( particularly next to the oven) and drawers need a good clean ( although we wiped out the main cutlery drawer).
Shower screen had a lot of soap scum build up also very dirty around bottom of screen door frame and hinge.
Very rusty clothes airer.
Wardrobe in second bedroom open with extra bedding just thrown in the bottom.
Not sure where the very large ants came from in the kitchen the 1st couple of days,then one morning,my bathroom was covered in them, even in the toilet.
We had to ask for the 'supplied' pool/ beach towels.
It was like the room wasn't 'ready', like it hadn't actually been finished being cleaned and set up, and since we checked in late, it wasn't due to us arriving too early.
I have lots of photos but don't seem to be able to select them to add, will keep trying.

the property is in an excellent position overlooking the ocean and pool, the u it was very spacious with a great layout.
the unit is needing some refurbishment- it is looked quite aged and there has been water damage to the main bedroom carpet in front of the ensuite and the floor boards near the bedroom door. this definitely needs fixing and soon! when we arrived there was water over the kitchen floor - but this was due to a tap replacement done before we arrived. Staff were quick to come and sort out. The unit needs a better clean too. We had to keep the aircon on all the time if our visit as we feared it would take too long to work again sufficiently- definitely needs a good service or replacement soon.
all I can say is that the owners have a gem, but are neglecting it a bit.

Resort is in a great location, close to Kingscliff, shops, beach, and the creek. Good room amenities for a family stay.
Cleanliness was pretty average in the private room.
Hotel look overall a little in need of a freshen up.
If you stay in a private room (keys from local real estate) be aware that the Hotel Concierge are no help at all and could not care less. Struggled to even find out what room number we were in after an after hours key collection from the real estate.

We’re return visitors to the resort which is great for the kids and lovely having cocktails and food by the pool.
The private apartment was incredibly dirty and run down. All the dishes were dirty and I had to rewash, couch and floor was dirty, bin was dirty, dust on counters and fans etc. Bed and pillows terrible. Handles on bathroom door falling off and dryer not working properly. All in all, needs love and would not return to this apartment. Have rented others privately that were much better.

The resort itself is lovely. The apartments are a good size. The view over the pool was nice and you could see the ocean. The balcony was large with sun beds as well as a table and chairs.
The staff were helpful when picking up the keys and when we needed pool towels that were not provided in the room.
The beds were uncomfortable. There was no fitted sheet and therefore the flat sheet kept coming off to reveal the mattress underneath, there was no mattress protector, no doona cover, just a flat sheet on the mattress and a flat sheet on either side of the doona. It didn't feel like the cleanest way to make a hotel bed that is used by many, many people.
You can't use hotel pool towels as you are not going directly through the hotel.
The room was not as clean as I would expect. I have stayed in the same room direct through Mantra and found it much cleaner.
Only the TV in the second bedroom could get streamed TV, not the one in the main bedroom or living area.

Only 1 key which could be an issue if it stopped working. Having a 2nd one would make it a bit better
The electricity kept turning off because the wall receptacle seems loose
The fly screen was very very dirty and needs repair
