Stuff was good
I got bitten by a lot of bugs! Also, it's too hot here. The water pressure in the shower is too weak

The people working at the hostel were nice and available for questions. The bed was comfortable too and air conditioning in the room via fans was nice.
I booked a 4 bed room, but stayed in an 8 bed room, was not too busy so it was okay, but still a bit weird. Shower was nice, but only cold. Not much of a social vibe in the hostel to meet new people.

Close to a metro station.
I arrived late at night and was told they were full and didn’t have a bed available even though I had a booking. I was left at reception for a long time and eventually they found a free bed.
The bathroom hasn’t got a window or extraction fan so you come out sweating.

Good cheap hostel close to the metro station, supermarket and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and eager to help with any questions.
Digital nomad friendly: The WiFi is great and it's possible to work from certain areas of the hostel with some level of comfort.
There could be more cleaning done in the rooms (especially on the windows which seem to be accumulating dust for a long time).
The rooms are a bit dark and some of them only have natural light. Also, depending on which bed you get to sleep on, it's going to be hard to sleep as they don't turn the AC on and the fan can't reach all beds.
The area is quite noisy all day long ( night time too!).

Nada a declarar.

Super friendly and great staff. Free parking and let me wash my car.
Bathrooms didn't have much clean & dry space to put stuff for showering and clothing. You need earplugs if you are not used to the fan sound.

It is a very simple hostel, i think there was still lots in construction.
The location was ok since we mostly explore everything by foot, but it was a quite long way to casco viejo for example. There were some little supermarkets around.
In the morning they serve free coffe and the kitchen was quite good stuffed.
The personal was very friendly but it was a bit difficult to communicate because nobody is speaking english and we didnt speak spanish very well.
It is ok to stay there for some nights, but the hostel is very simple equipped, the community areas are ok but nothing special.
I think the kitchen could have been more cleaned up and could be better organized but for making breakfast there it was ok.

clean and organized
Room did not include AC, they charge more to give you the controller
Overbooked on the 1st day. I had to go to a shared room. No compensation provided.

The price was great for everything Hostal Villa offered. We stayed in a dorm bed and they were able to put us all in the same room. It has a nice seating area with couches and a TV as well as a balcony that guests can sit on to get some fresh air. Each room and communal space was cleaned every day.
Despite the daily cleaning it was still a bit dirty throughout our stay. Additionally the door locks if closed fully. Without a full time staff it can be difficult to just come and go as you please. We regularly had to go searching through the villa to find someone that could open the door for us to get into our uber in the morning.

very good location. 2min from Metro station.
no air conditioner and usually local people stay long. and often loud and talk alot. some times ask you for money. there is no 4 bed dorm as booking.com says there are only 10 bed dorms so be aware

I survived
The “4 bed dorms” don’t actually exist. They don’t have anything less than an 8-bed room and the staff couldn’t care less when I questioned this. The hostel is in a dodgy area and attracts some strange people. It feels like a homeless shelter rather than a backpacking spot. For the first time in 50+ hostels I didn’t feel safe here (although thankfully my stay did pass without incident). The bathrooms were also very dirty.

Too hot! Air-condition is not working, absolutely not enough fans for feel yourself comfortable

price, free towel, kitchen, wifi
not a hostels fault it's quite busy and ppl like to stay there, but as it's big and full of people, while there's only one comfy common area, i felt surrounded by strangers. also bathroom only in rooms which sux when someone else is taking shower for half an hour

The location is great, it’s just one block from the metro station and two stops from Albrook which is very convenient. The price was good.
The hostel was a bit stinky, there was lack of ventilation, especially in the dorm. The personal didn’t know much about tourist places - had no idea that the canal was closed on Monday and said it was opened for 100%. Rather ask on the street.
