Cheap basic hostel for one night.
Room was dirty; there were cockroaches in the bathroom and shower.
2.5
the location
sagging mattresses, the iron of the bed hit my back because it went through the mattress, the bathroom was dirty full of used soaps from previous guests
0.5
Pésima experiencia, transmite un ambiente intranquilo.
3.0

not clean, strange people around & neighbour

The hotel is for budget travellers who want to save money. There are 1, 2 and 3 bed rooms, the airconditioning is functioning (even it is loud), the hotel controls the entrance, there is a common room with microwave to heat up your food. It is very basic, but acceptable. Even though there are small beatles running from time to time through the bath, I would take it again.
The neighborhood is not very likely to explore after getting dark

nothing
worst stay ever - cockroach, moths, stained sheets, loud, pretty sure this was being used as a brothel , rough area nothing around it. dirty bathroom

Hard to find a better price, close to the beach promenade and not far from both the old town and office district with skyscrapers.
Not sure why there's the word "Backpacker" in the name, there's just a cantine-like room with microwave and coffee maker serving as a common area, not mentioning couch with TV in front of reception. Also hard to avoid the spooky neighbours and their dog threating everyone when leaving the hostel, but not the hostel's fault clearly.

Good cheap accomodation close to the subway system at station Loteria
Not the best neighbourhood to walk around at night. No night life.

Staff are nice and helpful
Area is bad, don't go walking alone at night. Our private room was broken into but despite this we still had a pleasant stay

Location was good. wifi worked great. staff very nice and helpful. Free coffee. Let me check in at 10 pm - no problems.
Rooms need to be upgraded. Looked like some black mild on ceiling. For the price I expected more.

I am really happy about the decision to stay here.
Afterwards we were able to cherish every little comfort we experienced. A night here gave us a hole new view about basic needs of hygiene.
The spiders and the blood on the bed.

The hotel is only about a three minute walk from the Loteria Metro station and it is about the same to a fairly new and clean MacDonalds. It is about a 10 minute walk to the ocean but there is no beach there. The old city is about 2km away but don't walk it at night. Take a taxi. My room was quiet and had a good bed and the television and internet worked well. Lots of hot water for the shower. The furniture was old but in good enough condition. It is on a side street so not a lot of road noise.
I stayed for 4 days and never was the bed made or any room cleaning. The hotel is not in a great neighbourhood but safe enough during the daytime. No pubs close by that appealed to me. I used Spanish when dealing with the checkin but I doubt that they were very bilingueal. There was only the one overhead light which makes it hard to read at night. Why are there never any table lamps? There was no showerhead but it worked okay
