The house was spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The host responded quickly regarding some initial questions regarding tv. Narrowsburg is a bit sleepy this time of year but we enjoyed the surrounding areas. Wildlife abounds on the property.

We stayed for a girls weekend and WOW! The home is on a dead end street, super quiet, and had everything we needed. The back decks were huge, tons of wildlife walking through the yard (baby deer families!) the beds were comfortable. Nora was incredibly helpful with the internet issue that cropped up and came right over to resolve it immediately - what a host! The kitchen has the essentials including some spices. Having a washer and dryer was super convenient. We would absolutely stay again!

House was spacious, and in a great quiet location. We needed a place to stay while waiting to move but I'm sure this would be a great place for anyone vacationing.

Property was very well located, accommodations were well suited for the family. Home could have been left cleaner (dead bugs, some live ones too). “Lakefront” was misrepresented, no water in the “lake” or the stream that runs behind the house. That said, proximity to town, food, river and trails made for a great time.

The home is clean, spacious, tastefully decorated and in a truly tranquil location. I came with a group of friends for the Deep Water Literary Festival. The house is walking distance to all the main sights in town, but in a secluded gorgeous spot. The house had all the appliances we could have wanted and a true gem -- the hot tub! We will be back next year!

Lovely Home in a Beautiful Setting
My husband and I with my adult children enjoyed a long weekend in Narrowsburg. The house is very comfortable and well stocked. We especially enjoyed our late afternoons hanging out on the deck. We cooked every evening and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The town itself is a bit sleepy and the market is very basic, but we took a short drive to Callicoon and found better groceries and a nice Sunday Farmer's Market. Unfortunately, it was a chilly weekend so we didn't get on the river as planned, but that would have been a fun thing to do. Overall, had a very nice time.

Awesome
We were very pleased with our lodgings. My family was very impressed. My sister has a place on the river, so we were able to walk to her place. My family also enjoyed the local coffee shop, The Tusten Cup, which was also walkable. We saw many deer, which was lovely to see. Nice quiet location. The only negative was that we could not work the tv😉. (We are not very ‘techy’)

Serenity In The Catskills!
Adored our stay in this cozy rental and hope to visit again as it was spacious, relaxing, and accommodated our need for tranquility and and slower living! Just as photographed; the rental was spacious, luxurious, and comfortable all at the same time! I loved waking up every morning to warm, natural, autumnal light pouring in through the living room windows and then ending each day relaxing by the fire with a tasty cocktail and engaging novel!
Narrowsurg itself is a VERY small but charming town. We enjoyed gingerbread lattes and old fashioned pastries from the Tusten Cup each morning, as well as a delicious Italian dinner from Il Picollo Ponte! (I recommend the chicken picatta!) The Bruschetta Pizza from Carini's was one of the best pizzas I have ever had! Do note: if visiting during the week, many eating establishments have limited hours of operation!
In town, I found the cutest antique store called Tinker and Nidge. The owner was kind, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about her inventory. I purchased a Victorian box and an authentic wool blanket from the United Kingdom to bring back home!
As for recreation: One day we hiked Shuman Park in the Poconos and another we traversed Tusten Mountain which is not too far of a drive from the property! (Both moderate hikes _ Tusten Mountain trail provided a gorgeous view from the summit!!)
On the last day of our stay we drove to Bethel and visited the Woodstock Museum. It is a MUST VISIT If you love music and 60's culture! We caught lunch in the town of Bethel at the Bethel Market Cafe and enjoyed well prepared food that tasted like a home cooked meal from childhood. Our sandwiches were to die for and the homemade baked goods were extraordinary! The owners were very pleasant, as well! If you love quaint establishments and genuine people, this is a great place to eat!
All in all, we had a lovely stay in Narrowsburg and it delivered exactly what we were looking for in terms of a beautiful natural setting, small town charm, and relaxation. I'll never forget the Catskill mountain scenery, the powerful and beautiful Delaware River, and this comfy cottage!
Much gratitude to our host, Nora for sharing her property with us! ♥

Week Retreat
We enjoyed the overall quietness. The town was a lot smaller than we anticipated, yet a pleasant experience. The caretaker was very attentive to an issue we had with the tv. We enjoyed the view through the windows and it was a comfortable house/setting to relax and unwind.

One With Nature
It was very nice to get away from the hustle of mundane day to day life. Our getaway was relaxing & fun.
The house was adorable & just as pictured.
The kitchen cabinets were all stocked with everything that you would need-cups, dishes, utensils, pots etc.
We walked through the cute town couple of times-super close to the house.
We had one issue which was not with the house & Mike helped out right away.
Nora stayed in contact to make sure everything was ok.
Thank you for letting us stay in your charming home!

Second Time Around!...
Our visit at this property was so enjoyable last year, that we decided it was time to repeat the experience. And in that we know the lay of the land in charming Narrowsburg we enjoyed it even more! Can't say enough good things about our stay, so we are planning round three!

Peaceful View
Did not want to leave this lovely home after a peaceful stay. The living room looks like the pictures, and the view is wonderful. One can walk into town from the house, and yet there is also a sense of privacy and seclusion at the property. Owner was great. Definitely recommend.

kingfisher cottage
Our small group of old friends enjoyed a peaceful and comfortable retreat at the kingfisher cottage. The cottage was lovely and well appointed. We had everything we needed and were welcomed by fresh flowers in every room. We were in the area to attend a music festival at Bethel Woods and loved it. We hope to return to the area to see more music shows in the future and when we do, we hope to stay at Kingfisher Cottage again!

Beautiful Weekend Getaway
Nora had a wonderful home and it looked just like the pictures. She was so accommodating and even gave us some local recommendations. The house is right next to a beautiful lake and the large windows gave spectacular views. We had 3 couples fit comfortably. Thank you again for a truly wonderful weekend with my friends,

Great house for relaxing weekend
This house is perfect for a relaxing weekend. The house is extremely comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed hanging out at the house so much that we cooked in or got take out for each meal. My only suggestion is to grocery shop before arriving if you want organic meat, fish and produce because the grocery store in town is limited. We also walked into the cute town of narrowsburg (the Main Street is just a few blocks away from the house) and enjoyed the shops- especially the incredible bookstore that featured book selections curated by our very own HomeAway host and author Nora! We hope to come back!

Relaxing retreat
This is the second time my wife and I stayed at the Kingfisher cottage. Again we had a wonderful time, relaxing, enjoying the outdoor deck and surrounding area. The cottage is roomy with a great view of the pond where we saw an abundance of wild birds. Downtime Narrowsburg is a 10 minute walk from the cottage where we enjoyed brunch and dinner. It was the perfect get away.

Quiet retreat
My husband and I spend a weekend here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a perfect weekend. The house is just as pictured. It's well equipped, beautifully decorated and comfortable Oh, and super clean.
The only quirk is the wood floors really creaked. We got a kick out of it, but some may find it annoying.

The perfect get away. Serene and Peaceful
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is warm, cozy and clean. If you enjoy cooking you will love the kitchen. At the cottage you are surrounded by beautiful wilderness. We saw some deer and exotic birds. You can walk into town which is only 5-10 minute walk where there are small shops and restaurants. We highly recommend it.

Peace and Serene Isolation - in Town!
Property was clean and beautifully suited to our needs. There was one small problem which Nora took care of with speed, efficiency and courtesy. We had an awesome time with our friends and family. The only drawback was that the picture of the lake in the backyard with a rowboat gave us the impression that the lake was accessible, but it was a bit too marshy for using the shore on the property.

Beautiful home, serene location!
This home was perfect for my family's little getaway. Those beautiful windows overlooked wetlands and a small lake, both of which welcomed so much lovely wildlife to view on a daily basis (red cardinals, blue jays, hummingbirds, a heron, an eagle, and the list goes on and on). I also should mention how completely spotless and comfortable the house was! We could not have chosen a better place for our vacation.

Lovely!
Spacious, newly renovated. (We need instructions on how to operate the TV, or maybe we missed them and they are already there)

Loved it. Would come back in a second.
Beautiful place. Peaceful. Quiet. Amazing location. The place had everything we needed and more! Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get away for a few days or longer. The house was clean and spacious. Fresh flowers in bathroom and kitchen. Back deck is so big! Perfect for morning coffee or evening cooking and chilling out.

Lovely retreat in a charming town
The house is very well located within walking distance of town and is set on a scenic wetland with plentiful wildlife. I was staying at the property because I was visiting family in the area. The house is perfectly set up so that everyone has their own space, but can easily come together in the common area. The weather was rainy while we were there, but the wall of windows in the living room provided scenery at all times of the day and night. The house was very clean and the caretaker was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. Some good restaurants in the area, and would stay here again. Good value for the price.
