On the VRBO property map the location was shown to be a few blocks from the lake on north Tahoe, and in-fact it was in Incline Village - 4 miles from where it was placed on the map.

Reviewer Comments:
What an amazing experience my family and I experienced. This home was the perfect house to spend it on, very close to our favorite locations in all Tahoe, grocery stores are close and the famous Mojo Pizza in Incline Village. If we have the opportunity to do it again we will do it again.

Property needs some TLC
Pros:
- big house, lots of room
- big deck
- cozy fireplace and lots of wood for it
- lots of board games, books and magazines
- nice neighborhood and a trail nearby with beautiful views of the lake
Cons:
- severe pest infestation during our stay. Pest control was called, but then dead ants started appearing everywhere in the living room and dining area
- internet is very unreliable, at times no connection whatsoever for several hours
- there is no fence and neighbors' dogs kept coming into the backyard
- backyard is completely unkept, lots of poop (most likely from the dogs)
- we were in a blackout for a couple of hours the day we arrived and we couldn't find any flashlights

Filthy, rundown house - driveway in horrible shape
Goldfish Properties NEVER updated their photos and the hot tub that is still showing in the picture was removed a long time ago, so they said. In 5 days, we had no internet for 40% of the stay. Front steps are cracked, chipped and starting to bow. Both full bathrooms and the kitchen have broken drawers. The back deck has so many coats of peeling, cracking paint that one could NEVER be barefoot or the feet will get cut.
I had a 4 bedroom unit I advertised for years with vrbo and wouldn't dream of renting out my place in this condition. You might want to have someone go and check out this property because I would really hesitate before using you again if this is how you rent places out - look at the price we paid for a 5 night stay in an older rundown property.

Noisy, smelly, unhealthy
I rent a house in Tahoe every year and don't have high expectations for my price point ($250ish/night), but this stay was not pleasant. First, the driveway is very steep and in poor conditions. The front stairs are also a little unstable and lean to one side. NBD - somewhat expected. As soon as I opened the front door (after I had to call and get a code that worked), there was the overwhelming smell associated with old carpet. I opened all the windows to air the place out.
The first night was miserable, likely due to the house being closed up for so long. It was so hot, no one could sleep. The rest of the nights were tolerable, as long as all the windows were wide open. But having to leave the windows open was problematic. The sprinklers are the ancient noisy type and go on for about an hour starting at 5:30am. After that, the sounds of construction fill the early morning air as the neighbor was building a fence. The fence construction was a sore subject between the neighbor and her neighbor as evidenced by two hours of yelling one morning over building codes, property lines, and the neighbor's accumulation of junk. This was extremely uncomfortable, however we had given up on trying to enjoy the backyard near the dispute location because our backyard neighbor had a large, free-roaming, hostile dog that does not like kids. The deck and backyard were rendered useless to us. Since we were out and about most of the time, this didn't matter a whole lot but it is worth noting for others.
The house has a mouse infestation. I found mouse droppings in the kitchen and accumulated behind the bed (where it is difficult to cleanup evidence) when I was searching for a working outlet. Several of the outlets in the house do not work (likely due to mice) and one outlet in the living room burned up my iPad charger and fried my battery.
Perhaps the worst thing about this house is the carpet. There is carpet in the bathroom - enough said. It is gross. Combine that with itchy blankets, flat, old pillows, and hard beds. Everyone in the house ended up with hives (this is probably why they have allergy notices in the house but we've stayed in and visited Tahoe often without incident so I blame house).
Two stars for good wifi and a nicely equipped kitchen.
The owner would do well to get an exterminator, air out the house before visitors come, and for goodness sake, replace the ancient carpet. I'd fence that backyard too but after the fight between the neighbors....

Great Vacation Getaway
The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, from cooking utinsils to spices, pots and pans, etc. The beds are comfortable and living area very cozy. But where was the hot tub advertised in the booking photos. Very disappointing, as we planned on using it daily. There were a lot of spiders and spider webs and we had bee like flies everywhere in the house. Needs to be exterminated inside the house. Driveway very steep and scary, but we soon go used to it.

Nice house and neighborhood
This is a very nice three bedroom home with a two car garage. Everything is nice and set up well. The outdoor area includes a nice deck and plenty of tables and seating. The steep driveway could be a challenge in snow/ice as the two garage doors are fairly narrow, at least for my car. Great location near Incline Village and ski slopes.
Kitchen is well stocked and the entire place is clean.

Winter Holiday in Incline Village
The home was well maintained, beds were conferrable, well stocked firewood, lots of stairs and high altitude (7300 feet) was a little hard for us. We got lucky with the weather a large storm the first night brought lots of snow, then beautiful weather for the next week while we stayed in Tahoe.Very happy with the home and service we received. No issues and no need to call the property mgmt. for anything.
