We have stayed at the Kiddel house several times and always enjoyed the killer views to St Croix and great location close to Lameshur and of course Kiddel and Grootpan. For traveling in the high season when Christmas winds can be high, it’s nice to seek the calmer southern beaches.

We enjoyed out stay! The Antares team was great! Great snorkeling in the Kiddel Bay. Just consider the steep walk to the bay for elderly. The main sitting areas and kitchen do not have A/C but the rooms do. Beautiful location!!.

Awesome week at the cottage
We stayed with 6 adults and 2 children (2 years and 8 months). The separate levels worked really well for our group. The bedrooms are all separate from each other which really allowed privacy and quality naptime for our children. It was immaculately clean. The a/c units in every bedroom worked great, and the fans and screen doors in the common areas made that area easy to live in.
The views off both back porches can't be beat. We swam a few times in Kiddel bay (where the snorkeling is awesome if the surf is reasonable), and hit up Salt Pond once and Little Lameshur 3 times. Highly recommend getting a jeep for both the cottage and to get out to Lameshur, which was very quiet this week.
Antares is a quality management company, with constant hand-holding communication throughout the process, making our stay stress-free and easy. We would love to be able to rent this cottage on our next trip to St. John.

Great quiet place to stay with friends
The property was amazing and the property management was very responsive. The view was spectacular and it had a nice walking path to Kiddle Bay. It was very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic Location
This is a very nice house, and you can't beat the location if you want to be off the beaten path. Beautiful setting overlooking Kiddel Bay, and we snorkeled in the bay several times. The house also is close to several other good snorkeling beaches. I want to mention that the property management company (Antares) was terrific to work with. Really helpful and accommodating.

Our group of 6 had the absolute best time! Everything was perfect-the house, the location and the management group. We will be back!

Amazing views and home
Outstanding to have a beautiful cove to so close- right down from your home!
Everything was great- sitting out on the deck was lovely. The Vrbo information about the house should be clearer about the payment. We loved our time there!

Amazing Visit
We had an amazing Satu! We live the seclusion of Kiddel l Bay and it's beautiful. We live the back decks for relaxing in the morning and evening. This is our second visit and we would definitely come back.

Beautiful
Its so much better in person. I wanted to get away from everything including people, and this was the perfect choice. Coffee on the upper balcony with the ocean sounds and breeze .... every day should start this way!

Perfect spot
This is an amazing location. A short walk to an amazing pebble beach which hardly anyone else goes to. It is a great house and the management is very responsive. We will be back. The only issue is the water pressure which is quite low and makes showers a very slow process.

Enjoyable week
Great location!. We loved being able to walk to the quiet beach and eating outside with the view of the bay.

Wonderful visit in Kiddel Bay!
This is a really special house, and I can't say enough great things about the team at Antares Property Management who helped our family tremendously when some of our travel logistics went awry.
The house itself is very comfortable. We used the top and bottom floors, and it was nice to be able to spread out a bit for some separate time, but there was also plenty of room for all of us to gather for meals, etc. That said, there isn't a great indoor solution for a large group to gather for a meal; the largest tables are outside, so when if rains, or is otherwise uncomfortable outside, that becomes an issue. Also, only the downstairs part of the house has a dishwasher, so we blended the plates from top and bottom together a few times to make use of that.
The location is remote, which we found wonderful. The nighttime sky and sounds were spectacular; it was fun to see cruise ships going by; and we could see sunrise and sunset from our decks. The walk down to the beach was steep in places, but there was also a road, and we drove the older members of our family down to Kiddel Bay because the path was a little too difficult for one of them. The beach at Kiddle Bay is rocky and beautiful, but perhaps challenging to get in and out of with bare feet. You will find a way, however, because the water is freakishly clear there. A nice morning walk down the road gets you also to the deserted Grootpan Bay which is also rocky but amazing. And driving a very short distance on the paved road gets you to Salt Pond Bay where the snorkeling is also fantastic.
We would definitely stay here again!

There’s noplace like Kiddel Bay!
We have been to St. John a dozen times and this is our favorite spot. Close to Coral Bay, Kiddel Bay cottage is a perfect place for those who want some privacy but quick access to your own beach. The cottage is freshly updated, clean, comfortable and fully outfitted with everything you need. The beach, while rocky (don’t forget your watershoes), has some of the best water and snorkeling on St. John. There are great hikes right outside your door, and Salt Pond Bay are an easy walk from the cottage. But the absolutely best part of this cottage is sitting on one of the decks and enjoying the view. We’ve been to homes in some of St. John’s most luxurious neighborhoods and, the truth is, the view at Kiddel Bay cottage is far superior. The nighttime sky is absolutely unforgettable, as is waking up in the night and seeing a lighted cruise ship make its way past your own little bay. True, you do have to drive a little to get to sandy beaches and restaurants, but for us, that’s all part of the St. John adventure. Highly recommended!

Amazing charming and wonderful
The cottage is lovely. The walk to the beach is perfect and easy. Kelsey and Rosanna were extremely helpful even before we got there then helped us with a crisis at the airport and saved our vacation.
The bay is beautiful and had almost no visitors other than us. It was the most relaxing vacation ever.
I recommend renting a jeep on st John. Not at the airport. Take a taxi and ferry to st John. Then get your car. Easy that way.
The food on the island was fantastic. Every place we ate was delicious.
But we cooked at the house and used the grill also. It was perfect for amenities.
Hope I get to go again ❤️

Nothing short of a miracle
The ongoing recovery of the island, its people and the sea was nothing short of a miracle. My regular second home on island was destroyed by the hurricanes (concordia). I tentatively reached out to friends and property managers Rosanne and Wayne one year later. With trepidation I booked kiddel bay house for first two weeks I could December. Splendid house tucked away in supreme quiet and beauty with easy walking beach access. And shock of all shocks the coral has been regenerating, the reef fish multiplying. I could barely believe my eyes.
Then as I reconnected to those on island I have known and loved, I heard for the first time in detail about the trauma they experienced and are still healing from. Without my ever encouraging hosts and friends I don’t know that I would have returned to what I thought would be devestating loss and sadness. Yes, there was loss and sadness but more importantly the island’s ongoing return to health filled me with joy.

Great Stay!
Cute cottage with excellent snorkeling within walking distance at Kiddel Bay. This beach looked like it could be a model for a salt water aquarium with its huge rocks, coral, and grass. We saw sea turtles, an octopus, and so many different fish. At night we enjoyed sitting out on the deck to watch amazing sunsets then later gaze at the star filled sky. We also saw three deer each day on the road in front of the cottage. There are great restaurants nearby in Coral Bay but we did use the well equipped kitchen to cook breakfast and dinner one night. The beds were comfy and wifi nice since phone coverage was hit or miss.

House, location, host - all perfect
The house and location were all as described in the listing. The property manager was responsive in making the reservation, before we arrived, and in promptly addressing a problem after we arrived. The setting is perfect if you want to really get away. Great restaurants within 15 minutes. Beware, a rough road that requires a Jeep or similar vehicle. Kiddle Bay is a rocky beach, but the walk to the Salt Pond Bay parking area, a sand beach, is 10 minutes.

Best. Vacationspotever
This' was our second time here. It bears revisiting which is the best indication of a great rental. It is a snorkeled paradise with easy access to the best beaches, hiking and natural beauty. The accommodations are very functional with great beds and linens, beach towels and plenty of cookware. We stocked up on food at the bigger market in Cruz Bay before we drove over and have not left this side of the island all week. We love the quiet. Where else can you have a whole beach all to yourself most of the time with sea turtles, Angel fish and so much more?

Great home with a stunning view
My husband and I have previously stayed on St John, but this was our first stay on Kiddel Bay.
The view from the home is stunning and it is just a minute walk down the path to great snorkeling on Kiddel Bay.
The home had everything we needed. I love to cook all meals and the kitchen made it a breeze.
Evening time was spent outside enjoying the sound of the ocean and the stars above. There was plenty of furniture to take advantage of the expansive deck.
Some people might find the drive to the home trying, however, we always rent a Jeep and don't mind it at all.
You will not be disappointed staying in this beautiful home.

Fantastic views in a comfortable home.
Located near Salt Pond, Kiddle Perch is isolated from the tourist bustle in Cruz Bay and close to some lovely beaches, great restaurants and interesting hikes. I have previously stayed closer to Cruz Bay and was initially dubious about being on this side of the island, but really enjoyed it. Great snorkeling at Kiddle, Europa and Great Lamishur Bay. Salt Pond Bay and Little Lameshur are nice, sandy beaches, great for families with small children. There are some excellent restaurants in the area and live music to enjoy as well. Check out open mic at Concordia and Jazz Brunch on the beach at Miss Lucy's. Nearby hikes include Ram Head and out to the Petroglyphs and sugar ruins. Keep an ear and eye out for the Black Parrots who live in the area, and a watchful eye for land tortoise and many, many hermit crabs! The property caretaker lives downstairs and is very helpful and quiet-we hardly knew he was there. The house is comfortable, private and well-equipped-plenty of towels and comfortable linens, pots/pans/dishes, etc. The fantastic views from the deck make this a magical place to stay-but are best enjoyed early sunrise and sunset, as it gets very hot out there during the day. Plenty of sliding screen doors and ceiling fans kept us cool inside the house night and day. We hope to return some day!

Gem
We spent 9 relaxing days at Kiddel perch. The house was clean and we enjoyed a nice breeze all vacation long. Definitely rent a jeep to get out here but then again you would be best with a jeep for exploring the whole island anyways. It is a 10 or so minute drive to Kalabash market and Coral Bay. There is a nice spot for lunch and delicious drinks 5 minutes away. As for the snorkeling, we found Kiddel Bay to be one of the best spots on the island. We saw sea turtles, squid, colorful fish and coral. Another 5 - 10 minutes down the road is beautiful Lameshur Bay and great hiking trails. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. The deck is perfect for evening relaxing (there is a grill) and morning coffee. Wifi worked well, there was a large clean shower, and a comfortable bed to look out at the Caribbean Sea. The skyscape at night is unbelievable. Do not hesitate to stay here!! We will be back. Definitely a gem!!!!

Private, perfect Perch.
We enjoyed a wonderful week at the Perch. The accommodations were casual and very comfortable--just what we were looking for. The cottage is very private, with direct access to the stone beach at Kiddel Bay, which has great snorkeling. It is a few minutes' drive to sandy beaches, hiking trails and wonderful restaurants. There is a beautiful view of Kiddel Bay and the Caribbean Sea from every room, a continuous gentle breeze, and brilliant stars at night. We loved the deck from breakfast in the early morning light to stargazing late at night. It exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to return.

Beautiful getaway
Yes, it is off the beaten path and it is on the Southeast side of the island which is about a 40 minute drive from the Cruz Bay ferry port. The immediate road leading to Kiddel Perch is rocky, so make sure you rent a jeep, but it is absolutely beautiful and worth the drive.
The unit was clean, extremely spacious, the wrap around deck had amazing views, we saw shooting stars at night and clear waters in the day, and it is close to the best eats on the island (miss lucy's for breakfast and johnny cakes, tourist trap for lobster roll, skinny legs for burgers), about 10 minute drive to Calabash Market for groceries, and about a 2 minute drive to the Saltpond Beach. If you are looking for hotel amenities, this is not the place. There is no A/C but we went in the dead of summer and there was always a nice breeze that kept the place cool along with the ceiling fans in every room. Heat was really not an issue.
Communicating with the property manager was extremely easy and hassle-free. They provided all the necessary contact information (which we never had to use during our stay as we had no issues) as well as clear driving directions to Kiddel Perch.
The drive into Cruz Bay and beaches along the north shore were an easy drive, but we always looked forward to coming back to Kiddel Perch for true island rest and relaxation. We would definitely stay at Kiddel Perch again.

Beautiful if you love remote
We were happily surprised by this house. It was a lot bigger than we thought. Fantastic balcony overlooking kiddel bay, nice furniture, nice decorationvery clean, a huge american kitchen and hot shower. It had everything for a great stay.
Would we book the house again? No. Unfortunately. It was to remote for us. At night there is nobody in the surroundings and we found that a bit scary. Because of that we couldnt open the windows at night and there is no airco.
Internet wasnt working. The manager didnt do anything to help. Just emailed that it should work (we used internet at Concordia). He promised to come around during out stay, but we never saw him.
Tips for the owner: a better lock on the front door, a lock that works on the master bedroom, umbrellas at the terrace and advice people to use the other road to the house (not the one in your description).

Lovely Get-away
My husband and I stayed at Kiddel Perch for 7 nights.
Pros:
The cottage was unexpectedly spacious. This was a treat as we had stayed in a hotel the previous week on St. Thomas.
The cottage was very private. There was a house being built down the road, but still it felt like there was just us.
The house was very clean when we arrived. There were hard wood floors and they had a broom so we could sweep up any sand we tracked in.
The bay just below the house had great snorkelling and salt pond bay was within easy walking distance.
Having a deck was great. It was so nice to sit outside at meal times and look out over the water. We used the BBQ several times
The shower was huge with great water pressure.
Cons;
The cottage was 2 levels and there was someone living in the level below. We were never told about this.
The road to the cottage was terrible. It was incredibly rocky. I was so glad with had a jeep with higher clearance than a car.
The deck was wrap-around. I did not love having it by the bedroom. Because there was no air-conditioning we had to leave the windows and sliding door open. I would hear the people below (who also had a wrap-around deck), and wonder if someone was on our level. I am a light sleeper and this caused some restless nights.
There is a set of steps going to the bottom level from the road with a view into the main level bathroom (the window is right behind the toilet). A privacy curtain would be a great addition.

Just what we needed
This was the perfect place to unplug and recharge. Very private and secluded, clean and affordable. We would definitely return.
