Excellent location, good kitchen, prep and beds. Peaceful wooded neighborhood.
Concern, downstairs bathroom plumbing backed up immediately and needs cleaning out.
Trees on property need vines cut back at base, they are killing the trees which provide shade and privacy.

We had a party of 6 people and the property was spot on and in a very relaxing area. Quiet and a great deck to have morning coffee on. The only thing to consider is the driveway is very steep and if you have more than three cars parking could be difficult.

great rustic cabin
Great location, wonderful space, beautiful views! It was uphill but all paved and accessible (this was summer, so no snow). We loved sitting on the deck for coffee or a glass of wine at night under the trees. Thank you!

We loved this little cabin in the mountains! It worked perfectly for our group of 5 (2 couples and one baby). The location was great - remote enough to enjoy the tranquility of the mountains, but still only a 15-20 minute drive to all that Asheville has to offer. It was great coming home from a day of hiking or exploring the city to soak in the hot tub and enjoy the large deck. We had one minor issue with setting off the water sensors, but the host got back to me fairly quickly and it was an easy enough problem to resolve. All in all a great spot and we would happily stay again!

A perfect stay
This has always been a dream of my husband to stay in the woods and in a log type cabin! This was just perfect. The owners included everything you would ever want. The views are picturesque and the home truly is a home!! Loved every minute we stayed there and would recommend it to anyone wanting some woods time!

Beautiful Cabin-Great Location
We absolutely loved our stay here. Plenty of room for both families; spacious hot tub; stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of board games and puzzles. So close to town yet far enough away to feel secluded. Slope Creek area hiking minutes away. Would love to stay here next time we're in the area. Excellent and responsive hosts. Thanks for the housewarming gift :)

Cozy
We have stayed in many beautiful, cozy cabins, but this was definitely one of our favorites. Beautiful views from all the windows and hot tub. Loved fenced in back yard where dog could run around. Would definitely stay here again if back in Ashville.

Wonderful Anniversary Week
My wife and I stayed at the Tony and Birgit’s cabin to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin was everything described and more, and it was great being able to bring our dogs with us on the trip. The cabin is located in a great community that is secluded and private but at the same time close enough to downtown so it is very easy to get wherever you would want to go. The view from the porch is amazing and the hot tub was perfect. When we wanted to go downtown, we used uber and Lyft and had no issue with either service. Tony and Birgit were very accessible and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and were available to give recommendations. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to be back soon!

Brigitte and Tony’s place was just wonderful! Beautiful views and gorgeous cabin. Very cozy!

Great cabin
Had a wonderful vacation at buffalo trail. Everything was very clean and even better than it was described. There was even a little fenced in area for our pups to play in which was perfect for us. It was the perfect vacation house for the 4 of us and our two pups. Plenty of room, we stayed downstairs and the other couple with us stayed upstairs so we both had our own bathrooms. About 20 minutes from downtown where we had dinner every night, easy to check out the breweries in the area and close to hiking trails. We definitely recommend this place and will be back if we are in Asheville again!

Relaxing Cabin
We had a wonderful time at this cabin. It was cozy and comfortable. The hot tub was a plus. The house is about 20 minutes from downtown which gives you more of a remote feeling - very quiet and peaceful. We loved that we were able to bring our dogs with us. There’s a fenced back yard and the owners even left out dog bowls for us. The owners reached out during our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. The house was clean and had everything we needed.

Just What We Needed
Met three of our single adult kids to celebrate a late Christmas in the mountains. This place was perfect. We could both relax at the cabin and enjoy all Asheville and the surrounding area has to offer. We toured the Biltmore Estate (still decorated for Christmas) only 15 min away, went to a dinner/live music venue in town, took morning walks near the cabin, and soothed in the hot tub after an active day. The location provides the best of both worlds. Activities galore in the surrounding area. Having a drink from the terrace of the Grove Park hotel watching the sunset was awesome too. The cabin is equipped with everything you need. On several occasions we would just lounge on the deck enjoying the view relaxing and reading a good book. The wood burning stove added a neat cozy feeling to cabin. The full kitchen was well equipped and the laundry room was a great convenience. Birgit was great with providing us timely info. We are already planning our next trip here. If you want it all, this is the place. Thanks for a great stay.

Clean and cozy cabin in a nice neighborhood.
Clean and cozy. Not a far drive from downtown Asheville but far enough that you feel like you get away. Great for a weekend for people who want a mix of activity and downtime in the mountains with friends and family. Nice neighborhood.

We had a nice stay here, loved the decks and all the windows! Literally 15-20 minutes to EVERYTHING you could want to do. Owners are super easy to work with.

This cabin was perfect for our family. The location was great for the Biltmore, downtown Asheville, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. In addition, Birgit was very responsive and gave great recommendations for indoor and outdoor activities to do in Asheville. We were also very impressed by how well the kitchen is stocked. The cabin was very clean and exceeded all expectations.

My wife and I booked this cabin on my return from overseas deployment. It was the perfect getaway space. The owners are incredible, and truly care about their guest. The cabin was spotless. It is very spacious and can fit many more people than my wife and I. When we arrived the owners left a nice bottle of wine, and had the hot tub already warmed up are ready to go! My wife and I visited downtown Asheville everyday along with a visit to the Biltmore. This cabin is perfect distance to get you out of the craziness, but not a far drive from all the greatness Asheville has to offer. Don't hesitate to book this cabin due to the fantastic owners, price, and location. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

My family loved the cabin and the owners. Very hospitable and easy to contact, and the cabin gives you the vibe that you are staying out in the mountains but still not far from all that the city offers. We ubered for reasonable prices in and out of town and even saw two black bears on a trip back in. How exciting! We loved brunch at Sunny Point Cafe, the Amazing pub cycle, Green man brewing and the sky bar! Can't wait to return and we would certainly return to this exact home!

This property is perfect for a vacation in Asheville. Only 15 minutes or less to downtown and attractions like Biltmore. Well appointed kitchen and beds were very comfortable too. The hot tub is very clean and a nice addition to have on the deck. The house has a very warm appeal and nicely decorated.
I would recommend this property to anyone considering a vacation in the Asheville area.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in March 2016. We cannot express how very happy we were with our stay. The cabin is beautiful and so comfortable, and the hosts exhibited wonderful hospitality. Birgit was kind enough to leave us a bottle of Biltmore wine and a welcoming letter to greet us as we trudged in from a long drive. The hot tub was hot and ready for soaking as soon as we walked in and was a welcome respite for stiff travelers! She gave us a call a day or so after we had settled in to make sure everything was ok for us at the cabin, and let us know she would be available to come in if we had any issues. However everything was perfect for us there so there was no need to ask her to come in! When you arrive there is a binder assembled with useful information about the cabin. The only instructions missing would be how to "operate" the wood burning stove, which for people from Florida we hadn't used before but it was simple enough. It really was a nice perk of staying here and they provide lots of wood. The tub upstairs is wonderful for having a nice soak. We felt super pampered and relaxed with all the comfortable features of the house. The beds were comfy; we tried out the king downstairs but ended up using the bed upstairs because we loved the loft style bedroom. All the bedrooms are very nice and tastefully decorated, and they provide plenty of extra blankets and pillows, though the existing bedding is very warm and good quality. The hallway closet is chock full of boardgames which was a nice touch. The kitchen would have been great for cooking meals to save money, but besides making pancakes a few times, we ended up eating out for most meals because there are SO MANY amazing restaurants in Asheville!! So many to list, but try Happy Jack's for biscuits and gravy and its closer than downtown. Go to the Pinball Museum if you like games, seems like no one mentions it when you look up things to do in Asheville but it was so fun! Location-wise, the cabin is in a beautiful area. There are other houses around but you still have a lot of privacy on the mountain, and the views are lovely. While private, it was a very convenient drive to get to anything you need, be it a grocery store, downtown Asheville, or the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was all very straight-forward getting around. Anyway, we highly recommend this cabin and hope to be back ourselves!
Thank you for a beautiful stay,
Ariel and Carlo

We had an outstanding spring break stay at this Asheville getaway. We have moved more and more to VRBO rentals over time (instead of hotels) and our family declared this the best VRBO ever. Very comfortable, clean, charming, in the woods and quiet, but not too far out of the way. Easy drive into town. Comfortable beds for all. Jacuzzi on the deck was amazing. Welcome bottle of wine a nice touch.
We spent our time hiking in the mountains and dining in Asheville and really enjoyed waking up/coming home to this wonderful lodging. Our teenage boys appreciated the DVD collection and the comfortable couches in the evenings after very active days and we had a fun family game of Scattegories from a well stocked game selection.
Great place for families with kids or without kids...can't go wrong.
Thank you!

This was our second time staying here and we continue to love it! It is convenient to Warren Wilson College and Asheville but feels very private and is in a lovely wooded setting. The hot tub is a great part of the experience and it is a beautiful place to enjoy your morning or watch the stars. I highly recommend this home.
