The accommodation felt luxurious and staff were friendly and accommodating. The setting is beautiful

Our room was upstairs in a long row of rooms, and it had a Juliette balcony. The room was stylishly decorated, and the robes and toiletries were a treat. We could easily park in front of the accommodation block, which was very quiet. We were never bothered by outside noises, and the space felt luxurious, as did the bedding and linen.

Our fan did not work, and one TV channel had no sound. When we pointed this out at reception, they tried to solve the problems. Sadly, no one could solve the issues, but at least they tried.

Aufpassen, die Zimmer grossen sind übertrieben

Die Lage war echt schön.

Wir hatten ein 65qm Zimmer gebucht und dafür bezahlt, wurden aber in einem viel kleineren Zimmer(35-40qm) untergebracht - für den gleichen Preis. Außerdem sollte es eine Schlafcouch geben, stattdessen fanden wir lediglich eine Matratze auf dem Boden. Erst nach der ersten Nacht und einer E-Mail wurde eine Schlafcouch in das Zimmer gestellt. Wir hatten ein großes Apartment erwartet, in dem wir auch nach der Schlafenszeit unseres vierjährigen Sohnes zum Beispiel fernsehen oder separat sitzen können. Da es aber nur einen Raum gab, war dies leider nicht möglich. Wir haben auch hierauf mehrfach hingewiesen, leider wurde uns aber nicht geholfen bzw. wurde gar nicht erst versucht eine Lösung zu finden, sondern uns wurde direkt ein größeres Zimmer zu einem hohen Aufpreis angeboten. Für den gezahlten Preis hätten wir zumindest einen separaten Sitzbereich mit einer Couch und einem Fernseher erwartet. Auch der gebuchte Seeblick konnte wegen der Entfernung und dem hohen Gras nur sehr eingeschränkt genossen werden.

The rooms were nice, we had fun, despite the food letdown

We loved the picnic, and the spa area where we got to spend the rest of our day. The farm breakfast restaurant was fair better than the main hotel.

The buffet food was super dry, the fish was the worst dish. The waiter should try the food or at-least have the knowledge of the menu, it was just very disappointing. It such a beautiful place you would think the meal will match :(.

Not sure I will ever return. Pity because it is located in such a beautiful convinient location.

1. Food- had bruch was lovely. 2. The reception are and resturant outside seating great location.

1. The check-in process needs to go faster, especially if one booked via booking.com. 2. Ladies' bathrooms had no soap to wash your hands - both dispensers were empty 3. Our bfast waiter..omg, can he get any slower?? 4. Even on a previous visit, another older zeaiter was very sloooooow. 5. Please invest in new bed sheets. During African Pride days, bed sheets were crips, and now they are old and looked not ironed. makes you feel like someone was just sleeping in that bed.

With the exception of the building works, overall, an enjoyable experience, and would have rated 9.

The room itself was good. The view of the grounds and lake from the room was beautiful. Breakfast and dinner were all very good, and the atmosphere and scenery was natural, calm and relaxing. The walking trail was also nice.

I was put in a room right next to a room and a few rooms down the line and also above where building repairs were being done. It was very noisy and defeated the whole purpose of leaving my home to have a calm and relaxing time away. I complained to the staff on the evening of the 6th. I enquired why I had not been informed prior, and they asked if I would want to change rooms. Available room was an upstairs room, though nice, it was a standard room and had no view and balcony compared to my King room on the ground floor with a lake view. I was then asked to speak to the supervisor in the morning of the 7th who would sort me out which I did. I got to know that the work was going to continue again that day from 11am till 6pm. In addition, I had to pay the current room rate if I had to move which was more than what I had paid for the King room. I had to endure the inconvenience they had caused me and all I received was an apology. I spoke with another supervisor as I checked-out and expressed my unhappiness with the room experience, Again, only an apology was received and no compensation whatsoever. She said they would get back to me, but I am yet to hear from the establishment. The TV channels were also not too good. Other than the noisy building works nest to my room, the experience was great.
