Clean, lovely staff.
The bedrooms are basic and the communal areas very nice. But we could not use them as families had taken over the spaces
This is a great family hostel. Good kitchen facilities for one family to use.
Small children like the location,
Not a good choice for those not travelling with children.

Host was very welcoming and helpful. U enjoyed meeting a wide variety of people at the Centet.
Google maps had a hard time getting me there, it got close but there wasnt a direct oath to the Peace Center.

The location was ideal and the self check in is really helpful when arriving on a late flight.
My room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke - I'm not used to that in non smoking hotels.

The location is near to a bus station (Íþróttamiðstöð ÍR ~4min of walking). I was on the road for Vestmannaeyjar to take the bus early in the morning and it was easy to join Mjódd by walking (<20min). It is a reallly quiet place with one shared bathroom and kitchen (some supermarkets are near).
Pay attention to the kitchen: I have not success to use the hotplate and the dishwasher does not work. If you want to eat out, you need to walk more than 15/20min to the nearest one.

The bathrooms looks clean on the surface, but they are definitely due for an upgrade. The bathroom closest to our room was out of order (based on the color of the paper on the door, the out of order sign was not printed yesterday), the showerhead at the lower level was busted and you would have had to hold the shower head, the toilet-seat in the top floor was also busted and I dont even want to comment on the shower curtain.
We had an early flight out and we knew the place will not be great, you pay for what you get.

Nothing
They have 2 toilets, one dosnt work the other hasn't been cleaned in years, really old toothpaste marks in the sink dirt under shower old mold in shiwer railing sink was out of shower and all brown and stinky, kitchen was dirty fuulnof stains, they say they have coffee for quest l, but when we want it ther wasnt any for us. In the rom u have only two heating options extremely hot or extremely cold. Even if was the rule to be quiet at 11 but people there were loude until 1 in morning.

The location was great. Access to the building and our room was easy. The kitchen was stocked enough to cook everything we wanted to and the center was very quiet at night.
The shower was busted and you had to hold the sprayer. I never saw the people running the place. And it's a big beautiful space but it's under-utilized and it's not so much a "Peace Center" as it is just a big building with some pictures of peace activists and a library full of books on everything from door-to-door sales to outdated economics to anti-war writers to 30 year old encyclopedias.

Easy access with the code. Cozy common space. Parking available on the street. Good equipped kitchen.

The room was clean. Decent wifi
Kitchen was a bit dirty, garbage needed to be taken out. Walls are very thin in the room you can hear everything in the building.
The house itself has a creepy Pat Boone-ish quality to it.

Smelly water I was afraid to drink it. I had an alergies in my room which is never happend to me in other booking accomodation. In room doesn’t work a lamp and WI-FI connection was absolutely weak in our room, you can maybe check your email. Owner should do it better i have my own booking in my country and it is not so hard to do it right. Absolutely don’t recommend this guesthouse, worst experience through the booking site.

Good location in the suburbs

The location was very good to travel both the centre of Reykjavik and outside, for example along the Golden circle and to the Blue lagoon. The facilities were very nice, though we didn't use many of them. They provide use with towels, there was shower gel in the bathroom too. The kitchen has the essentials to make and store food if you wish to. There is also plenty of parking space too. Nice and quiet area of Reykjavik.
The front door was difficult to open and close. The radiator in our room was also difficult to turn on and off. The water did smell of sulphur (rotten eggs) but I believe that's not uncommon in Reykjavik. There was also no way of contact a member of staff there, it was all self-managed, so if there was an issue, there was no way of getting hold of someone.

Hard to find without GPS.

The house is very spacious and clean. Very close to the bus stop to go to the center and close to supermarket
In the description there was written that in the morning there should be a buffet breakfast but there is not. WiFi isn't working well.

Comfy beds and peace and quiet

Bed was comfortable and we only spent there 2 nights, not more. Temperature was ok (warm) inside.
Staff didn't speak English. Kitchen was more than disgusting. Everything was sticky from dirt and grease. Bathroom was ok, but not enough loo roll was provided, lighting was poor and temperature was bit cold there.
