I loved the staff at Rapopo. From the moment I stepped onto the resort, to the moment I left, I felt welcomed.
All of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. But I want to give recognition to Rachel, Rita, Pune. And , Mark and Amed, the drivers. They went out of their way to make my
stay extra special. đ
The food was very delicious, and prepared fresh each day. Hats off to the chefs.đŠâđł
I would be hard- pressed to find anything that I didn't like.

The breakfast was delicious, generous and very healthy.
The setting was outstanding.
The gardens are amazing. The staff are very attentive and positive.
It is culturally authentic
The staff are incredibly friendly. The welcome was musical and lovely.
I like it just the way it is.
Perhaps the beds could be a little more comfy but they are fine.
I wished I could stay for longer!
Could they give a bonus night after you have stayed 4 times in a year?

Enjoyed the proximity to the beach front. Secure and safe. Friendly staff - most proactive and also reactive to our requests. Liked the complimentary free breakfast options.
The toasting bread process at breakfast needs to change. Quite annoying. A staff member toasts the bread but guests are not informed so think the toaster is full. Staff are better off letting guests toast their own bread. This will ensure bread is warm and not wasted. Kitchen service staff seemed perhaps under trained in some areas. Late in delivering basic requests - like jugs of water/cups.

Great service all round
No complaints

Free round trip airport transfer. Free town shuttle. And during mask festival, free shuttle. Great and convenient dive/tour shop on site. Nice pool. Friendly staff. Snorkeling is great right off the beach!
Breakfast could have more variety, and the stuff that was available needs to be replenished more often. Natural juices would be nice too.

Location, great view
Room is like sleeping in a wooden crate. Donât take the upgrade to the box on the beach stay in the pool rooms. Too much over grown plants unkept gardens.

The staff are excellent and make the place.... View across he harbour, the layout all combine to make it great.
For elderly people, step edge marking in a contrasting colour would improve to delineate 'where' the step edge is,

When we arrived we were serenaded with some songs and fresh coconuts and for a moment we forgot we were there for work. This is a very welcoming place with lovely, smiley and attentive staff. The feeling is relaxed yet fully professional.

Rapopo is just amazing! Great hospitality and the staff were all so friendly. Great food (and the prices were also good) and even the complementary breakfast was just on the spot! Definitely going back in the future :)

Staff
We like that the staff are very friendly and prompt. Mark who picked us up from the airport was very cordial, Christine at front desk is exceptional and the housekeeping staff kept our room in tiptop condition. We also thought it was a nice touch with the welcome song and frangipani leis and kulau. When being served at meal times the wait staff were very prompt and courteous too.
Location
The location is perfect and has stunning views of the harbour and of Mt Tavurvur. We like also that because Rapopo is further out from the main town, they have two complimentary shuttle runs out to Kokopo Town.
Food
Delicious, portion sizes were decent and dishes like steak and seafood were reasonably priced.
Rooms
The rooms are a little dated and tired. The beds and pillows are not soft and comfortable as you would expect for a resort.
There is only one tiny bar of soap and a small plastic container marked "shampoo and conditioner" which are unacceptable complimentary toiletries for the price paid. I understand that most hotels are now moving towards sustainability which is great, so perhaps Rapopo should adopt what other resorts do worldwide which is have three permanent holders placed in the bathroom of liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner placed in the rooms for guest use which housekeeping can top up daily.
Food
The food was delicious and the portions were decent sized, however we thought the price of local dishes for food like Aigir was a bit expensive given the ingredients are all local. I was also very disappointed to find hair in the Aigir. That is a big no no, staff should wear hair nets.
On one occasion because the lobster took longer to prepare, when they served both meals the steak was already cold. I suggest if you're not able to properly time the meals together serve the one that needs to be served first and bring the other meal out later. We would rather have one person eat first rather than both together and one with cold steak, that was very disappointing.
Staff/records
Although you shouldn't have to, if you are paying as you go, make sure to keep records of
all your receipts. We were almost double charged because their records were not accurate and we had to produce our receipt to show we had already paid for the meal.

Situated in an awesome location. The View is just awesome.
We had to manually switch ON Aircon when the power fluctuates. And the Fan is in worst condition. The highest it can go is the slowest. You have to pay for all small things...Imagine you buy a Birthday Cake, you have to pay even for candles extra...lol.

The location was great and the staff as a rule were very friendly and helpful.
The toilet wasnât functioning properly the whole time, the wifi wasnât functioning the majority of the time and my family was woken up at 0630 on the last day by reception woke me and my family up with a phone call which could have waited.
4.5
Fantastic service, great food and a stunning location. Great for scuba diving and relaxing
Two small points that could be improved:
The wifi connection is very spotty and not reliable.
With plenty of great coffee in country, the hotel could offer better coffee.

Complimenary and continental break fast was excellent.
TV- channels were scrambled. I couldnt watch NRL rugby in the room. Had to go down to the bar to watch. It was full of people with not enough bar chairs when the game was on.
