We had a wonderful week at this beautiful home nestled in the woods. The house is within walking distance to our favorite beach. Porches are great for lounging or stargazing. House has all you need for an easy stay, well stocked kitchenware, plenty of towels and bedding. Host was very responsive when the TV didnt work and helped remotely to get it working. Thanks for a great week!

In 30 years of coming to the Vineyard, this was our first time staying in Aquinnah. The peaceful and secluded location of this property, the lovely front and back yard, and the proximity to the beach, did not disappoint.
We spent a lot of time on the spacious front deck reading, enjoying coffee and meals, or just soaking up the sun. While there wasn’t much of an ocean view from the deck chairs, the sky lighting up during sunset was spectacular. And what a treat to be able to walk to Philbin Beach.
Inside, the house was comfortable, light-filled, and cozy. We appreciated the exceptionally well-equipped kitchen and abundant high-end linens / towels. The house had a nice selection of books, games, and puzzles. The master bedroom was spacious and comfortable….leaving the sleeping porch door open at night let in the sound of waves.
We did not at all mind the size of the kitchen, but it is in need of a facelift. The house had missing and/or broken screens in the front door and master bedroom. Additionally, the two zero-gravity deck chairs pictured as brand new in the listing were broken and completely useless.
That said, the property is very pleasant and Lori is a terrific host. We would definitely stay there again.

A dream
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home! We love staying in Aquinnah and this house was a perfect spot. Quiet and private but a short walk to breathtaking beaches. We enjoyed the porches and our one year old enjoyed the local wildlife (birds and bunnies galore). We had friends join us for two nights and there was more than enough space for our two families. The kitchen is very well stocked. The host was accommodating and responsive to boot. Our new favorite house, We hope to be back year after year!

Tranquility & Ocean breeze
After 3 years gap (COVID Related) we happily return to our tradition to spend week in Aquinnah in early summer. We are myself, my wife and another couple and we been doing MV trip for more than 10 years. House is very well situated with the ocean views, pretty pond and just a short walk to the Philbin Breach. It has more than sufficient room for 4 of us. Kitchen is maybe a little on a small side but very well equipped with everything you may need to cook any meal. Everything worked fine and a small issue we had on arrival with gas range was resolved very quickly.
Love the place and hopefully will be back next year.

The perfect vacation
Our vacation was perfect! The home itself is beautiful and well appointed. The deck is perfect for reading and yoga. On the one drizzly morning, we read on the screened in porch which was lovely, too. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. The beach is gorgeous and within a short walk - you can hear the ocean from the porch at night and get a great breeze. And the outdoor shower was a treat! Lori was so friendly, prompt, and so helpful. We hope to be back someday!

Perfect Girls Trip
This property was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. Very secluded but a quick walk to the beach. Not a lot of neighbor noise, just the ocean and the birds. We cooked a lot and the kitchen was well stocked for it. This was just a wonderful place to relax! We hope to return some day and stay at the same spot. And Thank You Lori for being so attentive and quick to respond when we had questions.

Wonderful Aquinnah Family Retreat
My wife and four children were in desperate need to unplug and get away. Aquinnah is the perfect place to do that and Lori’s home allowed us the home base to do that. Her house is beautiful!! Equipped with great beds!! (Best night sleep in a long time). Great cooking tools!! (we love to cook together). Fireplace and amazing woodwork. With great views!!
Our 15 year old said upon our arrival, “we have found our family spot!!”
We hope to be back next year.

Perfect getaway
We had an amazing time at Aquinnah House. The location could not be better! The house is set on an absolutely beautiful plot of land, on a magical pond in back and a view of the ocean in front. It's in a quiet, secluded area at the end of a small street. It's an 8-minute walk to Philbin Beach, a pristine ocean beach where you can walk in both directions for what seems like miles, including to Aquinnah Beach and Gay Head Beach with the colorful cliffs. Philbin Beach is set along grassy dunes, with soft sand, and gentle waves--everyone enjoyed going in the water. It is restricted to just residents and renters so there aren't many people. We would go to the beach multiple times a day, and in the morning and evenings, we often wouldn't see anyone else. The house is very comfortable and inviting and has a great layout, with a bright living/dining room, open kitchen, three bedrooms downstairs, and a wonderful master bedroom suite upstairs. The screened in porches were a nice bonus. Easy bike or drive to other parts of the island. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Perfect!
What a fabulous place! There are beautiful views from every room--the house is light-filled, airy, bright, clean and has a warm welcoming feel because of all the wood. The location -- on the quiet side of the island -- was a perfect retreat for us. The lay-out is unparalleled. We both could easily cook side-by-side in the kitchen. We each had our own space, as well as communal space. It felt like home from the first time we stepped in. The owners were so lovely; we extended our stay 2 or 3 times. It is a place we will hopefully return to again and again.

Perfect Vineyard beach house
Don't hesitate to book this property if you are looking for a pristine, well appointed retreat away from the busy towns on the island. Our group of 8, including two small children, really enjoyed the house and had plenty of room to spread out. The front porch and lawn were a hit for lawn games and the kitchen had more than what we needed for the requisite lobster boils. The beach is within walking distance and had areas well suited for surfing, fishing, wading and relaxing. In short, an immaculate Aquinnah getaway.
