Stunningly beautiful hotel - both internal decor and botanic garden. Our bedroom was also beautiful with excellent features. We would particularly like to thank the people at reception for allowing us to access our room early after we had been evacuated from where we had been staying because of the wild fire. The breakfast was also superb.

The well kept grounds and swimming pool were amazing. It felt like being in the Caribbean with the lush tropical gardens.
The room was attractive and large.
We didn’t have the breakfast as everything you wanted had to be ordered the night before. In addition to that it appeared very overpriced.
The tapas menu was good and varied but the restaurant menu has a limited choice and seemed expensive.
I think the restaurant was trying to be more upmarket than it needed to be.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Hacienda de Abajo and I have to say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From start to finish, the level of service and attention to detail was truly exceptional. If you're looking for a peaceful and serene retreat away from the hustle of everyday life, then this is the perfect place for you.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendly and professional staff who went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The check-in process was seamless and efficient, and I was delighted to find that my room was spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed.
The hotel is situated in the quiet town of Tazacorte and surrounded by a beautiful botanical garden, which makes it the perfect place to unwind and relax. I enjoyed spending time on my balcony, listening to the birds chirping and feeling the gentle breeze.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's restaurant 'El sitio'. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. I enjoyed a variety of dishes, all of which were expertly prepared and presented.
Overall, I cannot recommend the this hotel highly enough. The staff, facilities, and location were all outstanding, and I can't wait to return for another visit. If you're looking for a truly authentic and memorable hotel experience, this is the place to stay!

Quirky, different, small haven...lovely setting, pool and service...
Restaurant interesting but flawed, not worth the high cost, tapas down stairs a much better option but does not have the views and sunset...

beautiful old house and very nice and personal decorations

the pool area was very nice, our bathroom and balcony were both excellent.
the bar area was uninviting both inside and out, breakfast service was very hit and miss. It took us 25 minutes and 3 requests on our first morning to get a coffee.

the boiled eggs were timed very oddly

Rooms and sauna a good. The food is awesome in the restaurant or the tapas bar
All good, a nespresso/coffe machine in the room would be nice.

Wonderful hotel with lots of character. Free spa area with great jacuzzi and outdoor swimming pool. Restaurant was great too.
Seems a little understaffed in the kitchen & restaurant, often long wait times.

Exceptional friendly staff. Unique hotel experience. Extraordinarily high quality antiquity worthy of a museum in every room. Beautiful subtropical enclosed garden. Sadly spa facility were limited. Unique wine to this hotel.
Expensive supplementary water for the room.

This is a really lovely hotel with an amazing design concept, full of artefacts. Evening meal was excellent, both food and service. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious, comfortable and nicely appointed. Pool area was lovely.
There aren’t many interior common areas to sit and relax. The dining room is grand but lacks warmth. Breakfast was cold and buffet disappointing. Staff were really unhelpful and unwelcoming at breakfast. Biggest disappointment was lack of pool service. Staff were reluctant to bring drinks to the pool. The hotel had no plastic water bottles in stock so couldn’t deliver them to the pool. Their suggestion was that we would be better served inside the hotel given the hot weather… not want you want to hear as a guest! This problem is easily solved by installing a small fridge and offering complimentary bottles of water in the pool house. This is the minimum you would expect from this class of hotel at €250 a night, especially if there is not specific pool service on offer.

The people - the personnel was the highlight of our stay, very friendly and professional. Also the restaurant is outstanding, we had the best meals on the island. The gourmet menus, both tasting menus and a la carte a best quality, comparable with the best restaurants in Europe. The garden is also lovely and well kept.
The atrocious decoration, for the prices charged we expected better. The property would benefit immensely from hiring a designer - what some perceive as old world art and charm looks more like a pirate den. Most of the paintings and other art objects are beautiful an authentic, but they are combined dreadfully, with some cheap elements in between. It would be quite easy to transform this into a wonderful and cozy place to stay. The heating does not work, which is another serious minus.
