Amazing view, chill and young vibe, super nice staff. We rented Kayaks from the hotel which was very convenient.

Location,view the best!!
The water kinda gets all over the bathroom floor, but due to the amazing view it didn't bother me soo much
4.1
Cool location, friendly staff, clean. We liked it very much.
The water is draining extremely slowly in the bathtub - it is really the only “problem”. Maybe the Wi-Fi sometimes poor.

Stay here for the most stunning view of the fjord. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had a more perfect view from a hotel window. If I could move into the hotel I would. The rooms are super simple, it won’t be rivaling the Four Seasons anytime soon but it’s perfectly comfortable and the view (make sure to book a water view!) makes everything worth it!
Wifi was a bit weak and went in and out during WFH calls. I may have been able to get a better signal from the lobby but didn’t try.

The location is a bit out of the centrum but in walking distance. The hotelroom itself was great and spacious. The room was clean and modern.
They do provide a breakfast but dont expect anything fancy. The shops are in walking distance and if you dont want coffee and a croisant i suggest you go to a shop. Parking was able but not easy. I was quite lucky with the parking spot but i can imagine not everyone had a good parking spot. Wifi was working but only close to the door.

Staff were very helpful, we had fridge food they kept it for us.
Lots of board games to play and a pool table
No breakfast included but free coffee and croissants in the morning.

Great place about a 5-10 minute walk from the ferry. Views from the room over the fjord are excellent. Rooms are very basic, but clean and comfortable. Coffee & pastries included for breakfast or a discount coupon for the restaurant at a nearby hotel. Access to a fabulous sauna below the hotel that has access to the water and beautiful views (you have to book and pay for this, but it was the highlight of our visit!).

Views were lovely with a nice beach area and sauna.
No room darkening curtains. No luggage pick up from ferry.
4.1
Very clean.
Spacious rooms.
Friendly staff.
Location was good, but not the best compared to other hotels in town.
I find it expensive for being a nice but plain hotel. I guess that being in Balestrand is what you really pay for, provided that everything is more expensive there.

We did not expect a breakfast or dinner, and they don't have one- So we were happy! We brought our own food. No problem. The view is beautiful, and the water is close. The reception is a bar! Amazing. And they play music. Fun place, for fun people! Very nice staff too.

The room was larger than we expected. The hotel was older but it was very clearly well-kept and well-loved by the owners. We were very happy with our room and had a beautiful view of the fjord. Additionally, my husband accidentally left his wedding present (a new watch) in the room and the hotel staff kept it safe for us, answered our frantic emails and calls promptly to confirm that they had the watch, and they went out of their way to bring it to the post office to mail it over to the US for us. We are EXTREMELY APPRECIATIVE of their care and consideration in making sure we got the watch back safely. I highly recommend this hotel! We also loved their pool table and game room. Very lovely hotel. ALSO, BIGGIE SMALLS, the golden retriever puppy, was amazing.

Great view, private balcony, 5 min walk to boat dock and stores, friendly staff, very clean, very comfortable, spectacular moonrise
It pains me to say it, but I did miss having a tv in the room, especially as the queen died while I was there and I wanted to watch the news. That said, if I'd known there was no tv I would have still stayed there. Had a great time nonetheless.

We loved the location! It is such a fun, realized hotel. We felt really comfortable in the community room and enjoyed having a bar right with the reception desk. The place had such a homey feel to it. Enjoyed meeting the owner and especially her cute dog. Our favorite spot on our trip!
Music could be turned off in the lobby at a certain time of night. Hearing the bass in our room was a bit distracting.

location and the reciprocal discount with the kviknes hotel near by for food. it was nice having a bathtub as well. the co-owner was exceptional with help and friendliness. view was superb
the architectural style of the building is a bit off putting when you first arrive but they have done a good job of making it welcoming and warm inside.

The location and the view were stunning. The staff was very welcoming and they upgraded our room for no extra charge. Free croissants and coffee were provided in the morning, but for the breakfast you would have to go to another hotel (as they collaborate). Room was spacious and had a bath tub. We would recommend this place.
We found other people’s hair on the floor and in the bathroom a couple of times. Even though it was quite chilly outside and the heater was switched off, the room was very warm.

Friendly staff from first contact through the entire stay! We had a sea view room on the top floor with beautiful views from the balcony. We could see all the way to Vik and watched the ferries go back and forth.
Very chill vibe in the reception area. Cocktails were available. Pool table. comfortable seating in and outside. Across the road a nice lawn that lead down to the water.
