Comfortable beds. The authentic Indian take-away is highly recommended. Pick up in the village.
Long way round mountain to get to the last chalet. Not a particular good view from this 1bed chalet, electricity pole and white caravan up the mountain, of which I was jealous because it must have had stunning views. Chalet felt tired and ready for an update . No sun on patio around dinner time as advertised. Entrance into Portnellan looks like roadworks storage area, not very welcoming. Our stay was to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary which was notified when asked if there was a special occasion. No acknowledgment of it. Information on website seems to be outdated. No information received via email nor in the chalet with regards to hot water system which meant no hot water in the morning. Need to set timer to reheat water. Had great expectations after reading reviews. The 2 bed chalets were updated and large houses up the mountain looked lovely and had wonderful views.

Breathtaking views, spacious place and comfortable bed. Thank you Cameron for being so accommodating and hospitable.
Will definitely visit again!

Had a brilliant stay at the Pinemarten chalet, it had all the facilities we needed, clean, spacious and very comfortable. The views from the chalet are amazing!!

Very serviceable kitchen and comfortable living area. Central location for touring the West Highlands. Lucy and Cameron were delightful hosts and very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
The view wasn’t particularly great from our unit compared to the others on the property but still quite nice and pleasant.

Location, view, warmth, wildlife and quietness
Hum from electrical cupboard in main bedroom disturbed sleep making bedroom useless for a good night’s sleep. Had to decamp to the sofa in living room.
Lots of promotional bumf obscured essential information about how to get hot water and Wi-Fi.
Was no personal contact with host whatsoever. Just prompt and helpful responses to questions about Wi-Fi and how to get hot water.
A Covid hangover seemed to be there to suit the hosts. We complied with the requirement to put all our bed linen and towels in a bag before vacating the property.

Superb location, very quiet on a beautiful estate. The lodges are private and not overlooked. Beautifully furnished, cosy & comfortable.

Hosts, accommodation, facilities, local activities, very comfortable.
Personally I think Booking.com should update their website to be inline with all the Portnellan challets.

in the original chalet there was no sky and poor wifi but Cameron and Lucy more than compensated by moving us into a luxury cabin, Happiness.

Location is perfect and views stunning. Great access to river and loch for activities, walks nearby and dog friendly.

Lovely view. Very quiet and peaceful. Good location and a beautiful part of Scotland. Comfy beds and friendly, helpful management.
Some of the chalet had been modernised but not all of it and it felt like it was a bit mismatched - lovely modern new bathrooms but old fashioned living room furniture. All lovely and functional but maybe could do with updating all bits to the same standard.

My father liked the comfortable bed.
I booked one property on this site as it was listed as wheelchair accessible.
My father and his carers had to be moved to another property within the estate due to lack of wheelchair accessibility. What wasn't mentioned at the time of moving to the other property was the cost, we were led to believe the owners were doing this as a kindness, not so much and a FURTHER £1200 was asked for OVER and ABOVE the (almost) £900 paid for initial booking.
Not cool. Not good business. My father has been left feeling completely ripped off. This was for a six day stay!
On a lighter and more positive note, my father was over the moon with the view from his bedroom, his very comfortable bed and thought Lucy was rather lovely and very kind.

Location was good, however not a very scenic view from our lodge.
No real scenic view of the surrounding area. Lodge structure was badly tilted, thought we where on a boat.

The location was fantastic and the Idea behind all the cabins fantastic.
The only think we had a bit of problem with was the internet. we had it but it kept dropping out. Had a friend that need to send emails for work etc but found it difficult.

A little dated

beautiful. clean. tidy. breathtaking views. modern. felt like home. cosy interiors. fully functional kitchen. amazing / large balcony.
most people don’t care about this, but I hate looking at my phone when on holidays. all the instructions were online as opposed to a traditional booklet or printed instructions. no human interaction either! we were stuck in the rain to get instructions for the game room code… (didn’t use it after all as wasn’t available in time) so if anyone interested, make sure you look through every single instruction as likely the staff support will be minimal as the model is “self catering” (again, this is the way the whole holiday / hotel business is heading to as an industry, just that I personally don’t like it)

Everything ! Such a glorious location, breathtaking views, and the chalet facilities were first class. I simply loved my stay there, I hardly ventured out of the property grounds. Cameron was a lovely host and really friendly.
Perfect in every way.

There was no store on site and only had 2 channels on tv. Can you report this to the proprietor as would appreciate a refund of some sort

Fantastic location, extremely well equipped house with all you need , all provided.
We were amazed how well thought everything was, you felt like at home, simple but so important, plates , glasses, cuttlery, towels, scissors etc. all there - kitchen was so well equipped it had everything you need, no random cheap items. Complete sets and nice quality. House was clean and looked after. 👌 Thank you.
Location is amazing, Ben More mountain ready to hike within 5 minute walk! 40 minutes drive to mountain resort if you like skiing or sledging for kids. Local shop nearby, all you need for pleasant stay.
I think one of the best stays we had.
You can see owners have a plan for the place, keep going you are doing great.

I was here earlier this year and decided to go back to just chill and clear my mind. Even though it was raining often, the views made up for it. I will definitely go back here next year at some point.
