Los van het ontbreken van airco in één van de slaapkamers, hebben we een prima verblijf gehad

vriendelijk en heel behulpzaam personeel. prima zwembad met goede service. Dichtbij supermarkt, restaurants en het strand.

slechts 1 van de twee slaapkamers ( met 2parsoonsbed) had airco. De kleine slaapkamer met 2 losse éénpersoons bedden was geen airco aanwezig zeer warm! We hebben het opgelost door 's nachts de balkondeuren open te zetten en de voordeur op een kier zodat we konden ventileren. Dat ging prima maar dat is natuurlijk niet de manier.

Value for money and very accommodating to our request for an extra bed in one of the rooms.

Location was away from busy roads. The pool side music was good. The children enjoyed the pool area. It was good to have someone down stairs 24/7 and asking for things like a taxi etc.. was no problem at all. They were always very helpful.

We didn’t get clean towels daily but I’m sure they would’ve provided them if we’d of asked (which I didn’t!) The pool not opening until 9am was disappointing for the children. They usually wake up early and enjoy heading straight to the pool so we had to change our plans a little bit which meant we went elsewhere in the morning.

we had a lovely stay I. Kardemena. the Elga is close to the centre, the beach and the harbour. staff were very friendly

the pool area is lovely

the rooms are very clean but very dated

location

the property is very dated, broken chairs, towels rails broken not replaced, no shelves for toiletries in the shower, showers don’t work, air conditioning only in 1 bedroom not whole apartment, had to buy food and drinks around the pool couldn’t take your own which you would expect when self catering and very expensive! there is no wardrobe or anywhere to store clothes in the 2nd bedroom so kids lived in there suitcases for 2 weeks. There is only a few sockets in the apartment so hardwork trying to charge phones and kids devices and dry hair at the same time. Only one small mirror in the whole apartment and no full length mirror. With a few minor upgrades this hotel could be lovely however it’s in desperate need of some TLC and some consideration to what guests need.

A Perfect Stay at the Elga!

We arrived home yesterday after a 4 night stay at the Elga Hotel. The Elga is a family run hotel with only a small amount of rooms, bar within the reception area, good sized pool and pool bar! Myself and my wife had an amazing holiday and we highly recommend the hotel! It’s your typical Greek family run hotel, rooms were basic (as they generally are in Greece) however were spotlessly clean! As were the pool area and pool bar area! The family were so welcoming and could not do enough for us throughout our stay! I had a good chat about Greek football over a few beers on one of the days with Dimitris (one of the owners) who worked every day behind the pool bar, and nothing was too much trouble! There was a good choice of food and drinks at the pool bar, all at reasonable prices! Food was all cooked fresh to order, beers ice cold and cocktails made from scratch, all with fresh fruits and premium spirits! The hotel is perfectly located and is only a 200 yard walk to harbour area in Kardamena, where all the bars and restaurants can be found. We will certainly be returning to the hotel at some point in the near future! Thank you so much to all the family for such a prefect stay!

I would suggest you to bring your own towels because you cannot take hotel towels to the pool or Beach. Shower is small and with cold water. Also you have to pay additional 6€ for A/C - so keep that in mind

Value for money!

I booked Elga because I like to have a pool to swim in, the room is basic but comfortable and with plenty of space. The vue over the pool and toward the hills was lovely, I had a little balcony with a table and chairs. The bar is one of the only bars in Kardamena to stay open late- if you like that? Staff are welcome and pleasant. I’m definitely staying here again. It’s not luxurious but if you want clean comfortable and great location with pool you would be daft to pay more.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. If you like fresh coffee in your room take a pot with you- I tried to buy one from supermarket but they had none.
